Abstract

Employee performance is a critical factor in determining organizational effectiveness and success, influenced by internal factors such as competence and commitment, and external factors like training. This study investigates the influence of training, competence, and employee commitment on employee performance, mediated by work discipline, at the Regional Personnel Agency of Lumajang Regency. Utilizing a causal-comparative approach, primary data was collected from 80 employees through questionnaires. The data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS) with the assistance of WarpPLS. The findings indicate that training, competence, and employee commitment significantly impact work discipline and employee performance. The mediating role of work discipline is confirmed as it enhances the relationship between training, competence, commitment, and performance. The study concludes that improving training programs, enhancing competence, and fostering employee commitment, coupled with a strong emphasis on work discipline, can lead to better employee performance and organizational effectiveness.

Abstract

Competition in the cement industry is increasing with the opening of opportunities for foreign cement industries to take part in the country. This paper aims to re-examine the effect of sharing and leadership skills on work culture. The next research aims to know the effect of knowledge sharing and leadership style on employee performance. This research was conducted at PT. Semen Bosowa, which is located in Banyuwangi Regency. The number of employees owned by PT. Semen Bosowa, located in Banyuwangi, has 94 employees, all used as research samples (saturated samples). Descriptive analysis is used to describe respondents and variables in the study. The study used test tools to test the validity of research data and the reliability of research data to measure the questionnaire. PLS (Partial Least Square) analysis with the Smart PLS version 3 application was used to test the research hypotheses of 5 (five) direct hypotheses and two indirect hypotheses. The research results after the analysis is that knowledge sharing in PT. Semen Bosowa has no impact on the work culture of the employees. The leadership style in the organization has a positive impact on the work culture in the PT. Bosowa Banyuwangi. Knowledge sharing of employees of PT. Semen Bosowa turned out to be able to improve employee performance. The leadership style that exists at PT. Bosowa Banyuwangi has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The next result is the work culture of the employees of PT. Bosowa Banyuwangi has no effect on employee performance.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine directly or indirectly the effect of competence and education and training on employee performance through work commitment as an intervening variable at the East Java Provincial Forestry Service. This research is a quantitative research with a survey approach. By number of samples104 respondents. Testing the instrument using validity and reliability tests while the types of data used are primary and secondary data. The analysis technique used is the Structural Equation Model (SEM) using WarpPLS. The results of data analysis show that the employee competence variable is0, 927significant effect on work commitment of 0,900, Education and Training of 0, 931 significant effect on work commitment of 0,900, employee competence of 0, 927 significant effect on employee performance of 0, 934, education and training have a significant effect on employee performance, work commitment is 0,900 significant effect on employee performance of 0, 934.

Abstract

This research is motivated by several gaps or differences in research results with expert opinions, also supported by data from the evaluation of the performance of private vocational school teachers in Bondowoso showing that the achievement of teacher performance indicators is not optimal up to 100%, even tends to be far from the target it should be. This is to determine directly or indirectly the effect of teacher competence and work environment on teacher performance through work motivation as an intervening variable for private vocational school teachers in Bondowoso Regency. The total population of this study was 331 employees, while the number of samples was 181 using proportional sampling technique. The analysis technique used is the Structural Equation Model (SEM) using WarpPLS 5.0. The results of data analysis show that teacher competence and work environment have a significant effect on work motivation of 0.002 and 0.001, teacher competence, work environment and work motivation have a significant effect on teacher performance of 0.009 and 0.001, teacher competence and work environment have a significant effect on teacher performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable is 0.001.

Abstract

Fatimah Islamic Hospital Banyuwangi is one of the Muhammadiyah network hospitals in Banyuwangi Regency which has a very important function in efforts to increase the level of health in the Banyuwangi community. Therefore, the performance of hospital employees is very important for achieving overall hospital performance. This study aims to determine the direct and indirect effect of leadership style, compensation on employee performance through job satisfaction on employees of the Fatimah Islamic Hospital in Banyuwangi. This research is a quantitative research. The data collection instrument used a questionnaire which was distributed to 109 respondents. The analysis technique of Structure Question Modeling (SEM) was using the statistical software SmartPLS version 3.0. Based on the research results obtained empirical facts in the form of: (1) Leadership style has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction of 0.000; (2) Compensation has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction of 0.002; (3) Leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee performance of 0.027; (4) Compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance of 0.022; (5) Employee job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance of 0.020; (6) Leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with job satisfaction as a mediator of 0.038; (7) Compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance through job satisfaction of 0.033.

Abstract

In the face of increasing competition, companies or organizations are obliged to improve employee performance. It is very important to do this to maintain the existing conditions. This research aims to examine the influence of the work environment and knowledge management on the performance of District Communication and Information Service employees. All employees of the Jember Regency Communication and Information Service were used as the population, the number of which was 129 respondents, all of whom were used as research samples (saturated samples). Analysis of respondents in the form of descriptive analysis was carried out in this research. The measuring instrument will be tested with research validity and reliability. To answer the hypothesis in this research, a research hypothesis test was carried out. After statistical analysis was carried out, the research results showed that the work environment in which employees worked influenced employee performance. The management knowledge possessed by employees at the District Communication and Information Service also apparently has a positive impact on improving employee performance.

Abstract

This study examines the positive and significant effect of social media marketing, online customer reviews, and e-SERVQUAL on purchase decisions through trust. This study is quantitative research. The whole population is Bekam Therapy Center’s customers. The sample is 104 customers. The data collection method was carried out by distributing questionnaires online. WarpPLS 7.0 was used as a data analysis method to identify and estimate the relationship between variables. The variables consist of social media marketing (X1), online customer review (X2), e-SERVQUAL (X3), purchase decision (Y), and trust (Z). The result shows that; 1) Social media marketing does not have a direct positive effect on purchase decisions but does influence trust, 2) Online customer reviews positively affect purchase decisions and trust, 3) E-SERVQUAL has a significant positive effect on both purchase decisions and trust, 4) Trust significantly influences purchase decisions. 5) The mediating role of trust is evident in the relationship between social media marketing and purchase decisions, and e-SERVQUAL and purchase decisions, but not between online customer reviews and purchase decisions.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine and analyze directly and indirectly the influence of the effectiveness of digital attractions and promotions on visiting decisions through visiting interest as an intervening variable in the coastal tourist area of Jember Regency. The sample size for this research was 400 respondents. The analysis technique used is Structural Equation Model (SEM) using WarpPLS 7.0. The results of data analysis show that the variable Effectiveness of attractions has a significant influence on interest in visiting, digital promotion has a significant influence on interest in visiting, Effectiveness of attractions has a significant influence on the decision to visit, digital promotion has a significant influence on the decision to visit, interest in visiting has a significant influence on the decision to visit. Indirectly, the effectiveness of digital attractions and promotions has a significant effect on visiting decisions through visiting interest as an intervening variable. The results of data analysis show that the variables of effectiveness of attraction, interest in visiting and digital promotion partially have a significant influence on the decision to visit the coastal tourist area of Jember Regency.

Abstract

The complexity of school operator work is a challenge for every institution to maintain optimal data quality. However, several institutions show that the operator's work targets have not been achieved in carrying out their duties and functions. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to directly determine and analyze the influence of work facilities and competence on the performance of junior high school operators in the Jember Regency Education Office. The number of samples in this study was 94. Validity test and reliability test analysis were used as an effort to determine the validity and reliability of a construct. Hypothesis test analysis was also carried out in order to obtain direct influence results. The results of the data analysis showed that the work facility variable had a significant effect on operator performance. Meanwhile, employee competence also had a significant effect on the performance of junior high school operators in the Jember Regency Education Office. This study provides a very important contribution related to the relationship between work facilities, competence and employee performance. The results show that facilities and competence show that they can improve employee performance, which theoretically strengthens the idea that facilities and competence can improve performance.

Abstract

This article delves into the intricate dynamics of Human Resource Management (HRM) in the Education Office of Jember Regency, with a specific focus on the interplay between career advancement, job promotion, employee competence, and employee performance. Drawing on the AMO (Ability, Motivation, Opportunity) framework, this research investigates the direct and indirect impacts of these factors through a comprehensive survey of 80 Education Office employees. The research findings reveal a significant positive influence of career advancement and job promotion on employee motivation and performance. The anticipated direct impact of employee competence on work motivation also proves to be significantly positive. These findings underscore the importance of structured career paths, promotions, and competence in shaping a motivated workforce and enhancing overall employee performance. This research contributes to bridging knowledge gaps in HRM practices and provides practical interventions for organizational improvement. The proposed insights offer a foundation for organizational leaders and HR practitioners to enhance employee motivation and performance holistically.
