Abstract

This study was designed to explore the extent to which the strength of brand image and the standards of service quality are able to solidify customer loyalty at Yourdayflower in Bangkinang. Adopting a quantitative approach with an associative research design, this study involved 98 customers as respondents who contributed data through a structured questionnaire. All collected data were processed using multiple linear regression analysis via SPSS, having successfully passed a series of prerequisite tests including validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests to ensure model accuracy. The empirical findings reveal that all research indicators possess a high level of reliability. Furthermore, the established model proved to meet the standards of normality and is free from the disturbances of multicollinearity and heteroscedasticity. Statistically, both brand image and service quality demonstrate a positive contribution toward customer loyalty, both when tested independently (partially) and collectively (simultaneously). A compelling discovery in this research is that service quality plays a more crucial and prominent role than brand image in anchoring customer loyalty. These findings offer practical implications for the management of Yourdayflower to consistently prioritize service refinement and the strengthening of brand identity as strategic steps in creating harmonious, long-term relationships with their clientele.

Abstract

This study offers a comprehensive analysis of the factors driving consumer behavior within the vibrant coffee shop industry in Bangkinang, specifically focusing on the interplay between digital marketing strategies and brand image. Employing a quantitative associative research design, the investigation gathered empirical data from 98 purposively selected respondents. The analytical process involved multiple linear regression, preceded by rigorous testing for validity, reliability, and classical assumptions to ensure data integrity. The findings reveal a compelling narrative: while a well executed digital marketing strategy significantly boosts purchasing decisions, it is the strength of a brand’s image that emerges as the most dominant catalyst in the consumer's final choice. Both variables, when acting in synergy, provide a robust explanation for the fluctuations in local purchasing trends. These results underscore a critical strategic insight for entrepreneurs: simply having a digital presence is insufficient. To thrive in a competitive landscape, coffee shop owners must prioritize the cultivation of a distinctive and trustworthy brand identity. By integrating sophisticated digital outreach with a resonant brand story, businesses can effectively enhance their market appeal and secure long term consumer loyalty. Consequently, this research advocates for a balanced strategic approach to maximize business competitiveness in the modern digital era.

The research employed a quantitative method with a descriptive and verificative approach.Primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 98 respondents who arecustomers of Tani Lubis. The instrument testing showed that the questionnaire was valid andreliable with a Cronbach’s Alpha value of 0.872. Data were analyzed using simple linearregression. The results revealed that price has a positive and significant effect on purchasingdecisions. The coefficient of determination (R²) was 46.2%, indicating that purchasing decisionsare explained by the price factor, while the remaining 53.8% is influenced by other factors outsidethis study. The significance test showed a t-value of 8.523, which is greater than the t-table valueof 1.984, with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. Thus, price is proven to be one of the dominantfactors influencing cattle purchasing decisions at Tani Lubis Farm. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the resilience of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in flood-prone areas in Kampar Regency using the PESTEL approach (Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Environmental, Legal). This research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, utilizing data collection techniques such as in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation involving MSME actors and relevant stakeholders. Data analysis was conducted thematically and mapped into the PESTEL framework to identify external factors influencing business resilience. The findings reveal that economic and environmental factors are the primary determinants affecting MSME vulnerability, particularly in terms of cash flow disruptions, asset damage, and recurring flood risks. Meanwhile, social and technological factors act as resilience enhancers through community networks and the adoption of digitalization. On the other hand, political and legal factors have not been optimal in supporting MSME resilience due to the lack of integrated policies and low levels of business legality. Based on these findings, this study formulates three main strategies to strengthen MSME resilience: adaptive, protective, and collaborative strategies. Adaptive strategies focus on business flexibility, protective strategies emphasize risk mitigation, and collaborative strategies highlight stakeholder synergy. This study contributes to the development of disaster-based MSME resilience studies and serves as a foundation for formulating disaster-resilient MSME policies at the regional level.

Abstract

Accurate population prediction is essential for development planning, particularly in multiethnic countries such as Malaysia, yet conventional statistical approaches generally do not explicitly incorporate ethnic composition. This study aims to develop a population prediction model for Malaysia using a Random Forest Regressor that accounts for demographic factors and the composition of six ethnic groups. Historical data from 16 Malaysian states spanning 1981–2025 (673 state-year observations) were processed through feature engineering, including population lag variables, growth rate, and ethnic proportions, yielding 21 independent variables. The model was trained using a time-aware train-test split (80% training, 20% testing) and validated with 5-fold time series cross-validation. Results on the test set (2020–2025) showed strong performance, with R² = 0.9769, RMSE = 259 thousand people, MAE = 97 thousand people, and sMAPE = 3.17%. Feature importance analysis revealed that the previous year’s population (pop_lag1) and gender composition were the most dominant predictors. Projections indicate Malaysia’s population will reach approximately 38.5 million by 2030. These findings demonstrate that Random Forest with demographic-ethnic features can produce more accurate population predictions, providing a data-driven policy support tool for the Malaysian government.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of store atmosphere and service quality on customer satisfaction at Seblak Mama in Bangkinang Kota. This research applies a quantitative approach with an associative research design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 120 respondents selected using the accidental sampling technique. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression with the assistance of statistical software, which has previously passed validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests. The results show that store atmosphere and service quality have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, both partially and simultaneously. Service quality is identified as the most dominant variable influencing customer satisfaction compared to store atmosphere. The coefficient of determination indicates that the independent variables are able to explain a substantial proportion of the variance in customer satisfaction, while the remaining is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. These findings suggest that improving service quality supported by a well-managed and comfortable store atmosphere can enhance customer experience and lead to higher customer satisfaction.
