Abstract

Gramatical Cohesion and Lexical The Novel Cinta dalam Kardus By Raditya Dika & Salman AristoABSTRAKArtikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk  kohesi gramatikal dan leksikal pada kalimat yang terdapat dalam  novel Cinta dalam Kardus karya Raditya Dika dan Salma Aristo. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan  metode deskriptif kualitatif. Dengan metode tersebut peneliti mencoba memaparkan analisis tentang kohesi gramatikal dan leksikal   pada sebuah novel yang berjudul Cinta dalam Kardus  karya Raditya Dika dan Salman aristo. Metode deskriptif yamg digunakan  pada penelitian ini dengan  menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan kohesi gramatikal dan leksikal pada novel Cinta dalam Kardus.  Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis data dokumen. Hasil penelitian ini yakni terdapat  adanya unsur-unsur suatu kohesi gramatikal dan leksikal. Unsur-unsur kohesi gramatikal meliputi referensi, perangkaian, subtitusi dan pelepasan. Unsur-unsur kohesi leksikal meliputi referensi, hiponimi, antonimi, repetisi dan ekuivalensi.Kata kunci: Novel, Kohesi gramatikal, Kohesi leksikalABSTRACTThis article aims to describe the forms of grammatical and lexical cohesion in sentences contained in the novel Cinta dalam Kardus by Raditya Dika and Salma Aristo. The method used in this research is using descriptive qualitative method. Through this method the researcher tries to explain the analysis of grammatical and lexical cohesion in a novel entitled Cinta dalam Kardus by Raditya Dika and Salman Aristo. The descriptive method used in this research is to analyze and describe the grammatical and lexical cohesion in the novel Cinta dalam Kardus. The data collection technique used in this research is document data analysis. The results of this research show that there are elements of grammatical and lexical cohesion. The elements of grammatical cohesion include reference, concatenation, substitution and detachment. The elements of lexical cohesion include reference, hyponymy, antonym, repetition and equivalence.Keyword:  Novel, Grammatical cohesion, Lexical cohesion

Abstract

This article explores the impact of dhuha prayer religious activities on increasing student scores at SMP IT Insan Mulia Pati. The religious program carried out in which the Dhuha prayer in congregation and the reading of Al-Ma'surat are also carried out. Regarding the selection of SMP IT Insan Mulia Pati as the object of this research, because at the school it has become a routine activity that must be carried out as a daily education program. This study uses qualitative analysis techniques and data collection. The researcher used a qualitative method of collecting data and analysis by emphasizing the qualitative descriptive method. The purpose of this study (1) is to find out the values that can be contained in the implementation of the religious activities of praying dhuha and reading al ma'surat at SMPIT Insan Mulia, (2) knowing that these religious activities can affect student achievement, (3) knowing that these activities can increase the value of emotional intelligence of students in religious activities of Duha prayer and Al Ma'surat reading, (4) knowing supporting activities other than religious activities Duha prayer and Al Ma'surat reading.

Abstract

Background: Popular children’s television shows are thought to imitate elementary school children’s language behavior. If children do not get parental assistance, television viewing can have an adverse effect on children’s behavior. Purpose: Therefore, this study aims to examine the influence of children’s television shows on the imitation behavior of elementary-age children. Methods: This study took a descriptive-qualitative approach. In-depth interviews with parents of elementary-age children who watch television were used to collect data for this study. The data analysis employed the interactive model. Results: This study found various imitations such as (1) linguistic imitation, children mimic the language used in television shows and add new vocabulary; (2) behavioral imitation, including both positive and negative behaviors. Positive habits include: Dancing, helping to cook like Bald, imitating the call to prayer, and reciting the Koran. Negative habits include language training, listening to adhan, singing, eating independently, understanding the show, reading, sharing food, practicing prayers, and mimicking adhan. Based on the impact of the shows, it is evident that not all children’s television shows positively impact their language and behavior. Implications: Theoretically, this research implies that elementary school children’s imitation behavior can be formed through television shows that children watch. The practical implications of this research are as input for parents and teachers to have television shows that children watch as a medium for elementary school children’s education.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the values ​​of character education in the poem Phaosan Jehwae's Malay Patani Dilemma. The main approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The data of this research are the expressions in the Patani Malay Dilemma poetry which have character education values. The data source of this research is Phaosan Jehwae's Malay Patani Dilemma poetry. The data of this research were collected by means of documentation, observation, and note-taking techniques. This research data analysis using referential matching method. The results of this study indicate that there are eight values ​​of character education in the poems of Patani's Malay Dilemma by Phaosan Jehwae. The eight values ​​of character education include: (1) the character of love for the country, (2) religious character, (3) the character of hard work, (4) the character of optimism, (5) the character of being friendly or communicative, (6) the character of justice, (7) the character of language politeness, and (8) the character of wisdom. This shows that these poems are good for learning materials. This research is useful as a medium for character building students in high school.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui makna tradisi kenduren udan dawet, mengetahui proses pelaksanaan tradisi kenduren udan dawet serta untuk mengetahui pro dan kontra pelaksanaan kenduren udan dawet. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data diperoleh dengan tiga cara, yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Makna dari tradisi kenduren udan dawet ini mengucap rasa syukur kepada sang pencipta yang selalu memberikan kesehatan dan keselamatan serta kepada alam semesta yang telah memberikan hasil panen yang melimpah.bagi warga Desa Banyuanyar. Proses pelaksanaan tradisi udan dawet terdapat beberapa proses antara lain, Prosesi tradisi kenduren diawali dengan kirab gunungan, selanjutnya dilaksanakan prosesi pembacaan rangkaian doa yang dipimpin oleh pemuka agama. Proses terakhir adalah penutup, acara ini ditutup dengan mengucapkan Alhamdulillah dan dilanjutkan makan bersama. Pro dan kontra pelaksanaan tradisi kenduren udan dawet, Dampak positif bagi masyarakat yang mengikuti tradisi kenduren udan dawet yaitu dimudahkan rezekinya dan diberi keselamatan. Selain itu, untuk melaksanakan tradisi tersebut dipercaya meminta untuk turun hujan yang berkah kepada sang pencipta. Sedangkan orang-orang yang tidak mengikuti ritual kenduren udan dawet akan ditegur atau dicemooh dengan membuat kata-kata yang menghina tentang mereka, seperti tidak bisa menghormati adat-istiadat pendahulu mereka.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan sumber dan sikap bahasa masyarakat dalam penggunaan argot di media sosial. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa bahasa argot yang digunakan komunitas LGBT di media sosial. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu metode dokumentasi, simak, dan dilanjutkan dengan teknik catat. Dokumentasi digunakan oleh peneliti untuk mendokumentasikan data yang terkumpul. Simak dilakukan peneliti dengan menyimak bahasa yang digunakan komunitas LGBT dalam media sosial. Kemudian data yang sudah terkumpul dicatat dalam kartu data yang sudah disediakan peneliti. Teknik analisis data menggunakan metode padan referensial dengan teknik dasar Pilah Unsur Penentu (PUP). Teknik validasi data yang dipergunkan adalah teknik triangulasi teori. Teknik triangulasi yaitu teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data dengan memanfaatkan sesuatau yang lain diluar data itu untuk keperluan pengecekan atau sebagai pembanding terhadap data itu. Trianggulasi teori dilakukan dengan mengecek data dengan teori yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu ditemukan tiga sumber penggunaan bahasa argot oleh komunitas LGBT di Indonesia yaitu (1) bersumber dari bahasa asing (bahasa Inggris dan bahasa Jepang), (2) bersumber dari bahasa gaul, dan (3) bersumber dari bahasa asing campur dengan wujud bahasa singkatan. Adapun sikap bahasa komunitas LGBT yaitu cenderung negatif. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan bahasa argot bersumber dari bahasa asing agar bahasa tersebut tidak diketahui artinya oleh masyarakat lain di luar komunitasnya.KATA KUNCI: Argot; sumber; sikap bahasa; LGBT; media sosial SOURCES AND LANGUAGE ATTITUDES TO THE ARGOT PHENOMENON OF THE LGBT COMMUNITY IN SOCIAL MEDIA ABSTRACT: This study aims to describe the sources and attitudes of people's language in the use of argot in social media. This research is included in qualitative descriptive research. The data in this study is in the form of argot language used by the LGBT community on social media. The data collection method used is the method of documentation, listening, and followed by note-taking techniques. Documentation used by researchers to document the collected data. This is what the researcher did by listening to the language used by the LGBT community in social media. Then the data that has been collected is recorded in the data card provided by the researcher. The data analysis technique used the referential equivalent method with the basic technique of Sorting Determinants of Elements (PUP). The data validation technique used is the theoretical triangulation technique. The triangulation technique is a technique for checking the validity of the data by utilizing something other than the data for checking purposes or as a comparison against the data. Theoretical triangulation is done by checking the data with the theory used. The results of this study found three sources of language use by the LGBT community in Indonesia, namely (1) sourced from English and Japanese, (2) sourced from slang, and (3) sourced from mixed language in the form of abbreviated language. The language attitude of the LGBT community tends to be negative. Thus it can be said that the use of language comes from language so that the language is not known by other people outside the community.KEYWORDS: Argot; source; language attitude; LGBT; social media

Abstract

This article aims to: (1) identify the grammatical and lexical aspects of the novel "A Pair of White Angsa For Palupi", and (2) describe the grammatical and lexical aspects of the novel "Sepair of white swans for Palupi". The study used a qualitative approach with a qualitative descriptive method. The technique used in this article is the documentation, listen and note technique. Data collection is done by using data source analysis. The researcher became the main data collection tool and at the same time directly analyzed the collected data. The results showed that there were five data that included grammatical and lexical aspects, which included: First, there were twenty grammatical data in the form of grammatical cohesion markers that appeared, namely references, substitutions, conjunctions, and ellipsis. Second, there are five lexical data in the form of lexical cohesion that appears, namely repetition, antonym. The results of the study indicate that there are grammatical and lexical aspects of the discourse of the novel "A Pair of White Swans for Palupi". Based on the research that has been done, the suggestion to be conveyed to the author is to be careful in the use of pronouns because the use of pronouns that are not appropriate or appropriate can give different or ambiguous meanings. Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the analysis of grammatical cohesion in the novel "The Book of Almost" by Brian Khrisna, and (2) describe the analysis of lexical cohesion in the novel "The Book of Almost" by Brian Khrisna. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data analysis method used by the author is a qualitative descriptive method with note-taking techniques, content analysis, and content analysis. The implementation of this technique is by listening to the sentences in the Novel "The Book of Almost" by Brian Khrisna which have grammatical cohesion and lexical cohesion markers. Furthermore, the researchers analyzed the data using content analysis techniques by paying attention to grammatical and lexical cohesion aspects. Then the next analysis technique is the content analysis technique. The author analyzes the contents of the novel in the form of a written essay and is reviewed in a literature study. The results showed that in the novel The Book of Almost by Brian Khrisna there were 26 data found. The data consists of 7 reference data, 3 data ellipsis, 9 conjunction data (4 coordinating conjunction data and 5 subordinating conjunction data), 4 antonym data, and 3 synonym data.

The subject of this research is the 2014 Kompas Short Story Collection with grammatical cohesion objects, namely references, substitutions; ellipsis; and conjunctions and lexical cohesion, namely repetition, synonymy, antonym, hyponymy, collocation. Data collection methods were carried out using qualitative methods using data collection techniques, namely reading and taking notes. The results of this study indicate that there are 49 grammatical cohesion data consisting of 5 data references (references), 6 data substitutions (substitutions), 5 omissions (ellipsis), and conjunctions (conjunctions) have the most data, namely 33 data. Meanwhile, lexical cohesion which consists of repetition has 5 data, 3 data synonyms, 6 data antonyms, 4 data hyponyms and 3 data collocations.Keywords: Literary Work, Cohesion, Grammatical, Lexical, Short Story

Abstract

The study aims to describe verbal forms of violence in dhian 'an farah novel's Dikta & Hukum, and the causes of violence. The study involves a qualitative approach. The source of this research data is the novel by dhia 'an farah, which is Dikta & Hukum (2021). This research data is words, sentences, and dialogues on data sources that describe forms of verbal violence. Data collection is done with a documentary technique. The theory used in analyzing data is practically a pragmatic theory. Data analysis is qualitative by reading the novel over and over again, and then describe or explain the comprehensive forms of verbal violence it contains. Research shows that there is verbal violence in dhia 'an farah's book of Dikta & Hukum as many as 34 verbal violence grouped into six parts of verbal abuse: name-calling, blame, threatening, degradation, and regulation. According to the classifications the researchers gained 18 denunciations, 5 name-calling speeches, 4 clobings, 4 threatening speech, 2 degraded speech, and 1 set speech. The factors behind verbal violence consist of 3 factors, including those from the circumstances of the number 8 character, those having to do with the mood of the figure number 14, and what factors the figure number 12 should convey. Keywords : Verbal abuse, novel, teenagers.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk kekerasan verbal dalam novel Dikta & Hukum karya Dhian’an Farah, dan faktor penyebab kekerasan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah novel karya Dhia’an Farah, yaitu Dikta & Hukum (2021). Data penelitian ini adalah kata-kata, kalimat, dan dialog pada sumber data yang medeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk kekerasan verbal. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik dokumentasi. Teori yang digunakan dalam menganalisis data yaitu teori pragmatik. Analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif dengan cara membaca novel secara berulang-ulang, kemudian mendeskripsikan atau menjelaskan bentuk kekerasan verbal yang terdapat dalam novel tersebut secara komprehensif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kekerasan verbal dalam novel Dikta & Hukum karya Dhia’an Farah sebanyak 34 tuturan kekerasan verbal yang dikelompokkan ke dalam 6 bagian yaitu kekerasan verbal merendahkan, name-calling, menyalahkan, mengancam, degradasi, dan mengatur. Berdasarkan pengelompokan tersebut peneliti memperoleh 18 tuturan merendahkan, 5 tuturan name-calling, 4 tuturan menyalahkan, 4 tuturan mengancam, 2 tuturan degradasi, dan 1 tuturan mengatur. Faktor yang melatarbelakangi kekerasan verbal terdiri dari 3 faktor, meliputi faktor yang berasal dari keadaan tokoh sejumlah 8, faktor yang berkaitan dengan suasana hati tokoh sejumlah 14, dan faktor apa yang hendak disampaikan oleh tokoh sejumlah 12. Kata kunci: Kekerasan verbal, novel, remaja.
