Abstract

This study investigates bullying done by santri (Islamic boarding school students), which happens in any Islamic boarding school, whether large or small, majority or minority, salafiyah or khalafiyah Islamic boarding schools. As happened in the minority Islamic boarding school in Tana Toraja, South Sulawesi, there are indications of bullying by fellow santri. However, the levels in each Islamic boarding school are different. Hence, this study used an ethnomethodological approach to observing individual behavior by taking conscious actions, how they acted, or how they learned in taking these actions. The data were collected through an in-depth interview with the research respondents. Data description and interpretation were carried out since the data collection earlier using the ethnomethodological approach. It did not wait for the data to accumulate a lot. The study results showed that although Islamic boarding school was a minority, it was not necessarily free from the behavior of santri who were bullying other santri. Santri, who did the bullying, resulted from the parents’ formation and unfriendly upbringing while at home, negatively impacting other santri. Meanwhile, the healing of bullying conducted by the Islamic boarding school focused on healing the soul and heart by strengthening the spiritual aspect so that there is a unification of feelings between santri and God.

Abstract

This study aims to provide an overview of Islamic learning suitable for children with autism and the urgency of educators in using Islamic learning models. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with data sources from journals, books, and other sources on related topics. The results of this study indicate that the Islamic learning methodology for children with autism can be carried out using the Islamic habituation model, Talaqqi wa Musyafahah, and Al-Quran Therapy. However, other methods include ABA, TEACCH, Son-Rise, Music Therapy, and Picture Exchange Communication Systems. However, regardless of the form or model of the method offered, as is the case with learning in general, the key factors supporting learning in children with autism are the availability of qualified teachers equipped with certified practices and materials, integrated teaching curricula, facilities, and training. Learning facilities in the school environment. Audio-visual form. The availability of professionals who can meet the learning needs of autistic children is not enough.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Islamic learning model for street children. Street children are children who spend their time on the streets to live, work, play, study, and so on. The reasons these children choose to live on the streets are mostly due to internal family and economic conditions. This research uses qualitative methods with a literature review study approach. A literature review is a research method in which the way to collect data is to read, understand, and review previous articles, books, and journals. The result of this study is that the Islamic learning model that is suitable to be applied to street children is a religious humanist model. Islamic religious education can be integrated with psychological methods that support the development of street children. The combination of Islamic religious values and a good psychological approach can help shape the character of these children, give them hope, and guide them toward a better life. Therefore, investment and attention to Islamic religious education for street children should be considered an important effort in creating a better generation in the future. Based on the discussion in this paper, further research is needed related to Islamic learning methods and effective psychological approaches for street children. In addition, the role of the government is needed to help overcome the problem of street children's education.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis motivasi belajar, faktor pendukung maupun penghambat motivasi belajar santri kalong pada pelajaran bahasa arab. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasis dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif yang dilaksanakan di MTs Daarul Ulum Muhammadiyah Galur Kulon Progo. Adapun Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa yang mencapai nilai kreteria ketuntasan minimal yang diambil dengan teknik snowball. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Metode yang digunakan untuk menganalisa data dengan tringulasi yaitu membandingkan antara wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah siswa memiliki motivasi yang kuat. Faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi belajar ada dua, pertama faktor intrinsik yakni adanya kesadaran siswa akan pentingnya belajar, keinginan siswa untuk bisa memahami bahasa arab, sungguh-sungguh dan gigih dalam belajar. Kedua, faktor ekstrinsik yakni adanya keinginan melanjutkan pendidikan yang lebih tinggi , mengimitasi perilaku para tokoh agama galur dan masyaratakat yang sukses  serta fasilitas belajar yang memadai. Adapun faktor pendukung motivasi belajar santri  adanya pendampingan dan dukungan penuh dari orang tua, cara mengajar nyaman dan menyenangkan, serta adanya dukungan finansial yang memadai sesuai dengan kemampuan orang tua masing-masing. Sedangkan faktor penghambat motivasi belajar santri kalong yaitu adanya temen mengganggu saat belajar dan kurangnya fasilitas belajar mengajar.

Abstract

Menurunnya moral dan melemahnya etika serta sopan santun anak sangat disadari dan menjadi keprihatinan dalam dunia pendidikan. Salah satu langkah yang dapat dilakukan untuk menanggulangi kemerosotan moral ialah melalui pembentukan adab siswa berbasis keteladanan guru. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana peran keteladanan guru dalam pembentukan adab santri di Pondok Pesantren Hamalatul Qur’an Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil observasi, wawancara, dan pengumpulan dokumentasi yang mendukung temuan pada penelitian ini. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan display data yang kemudian direduksi untuk mengambil data yang diperlukan, dan terakhir penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembentukkan adab santri berbasis keteladanan guru di Pondok Pesantren Hamalatul Qur’an Yogyakarta dilakukan melalui sikap, perkataan dan pembiasaan. Nilai-nilai luhur yang ditanamkan di pesantren dapat membentuk kepribadian santri yang selanjutnya menjadikan karakter yang melekat dalam diri. Adab dan kepribadian yang menjadi ikon pendidikan keagamaan meliputi nilai aqidah, nilai ibadah dan nilai akhlak. Ketiga pembentukkan adab tersebut ditanamkam melalui pembiasaan dengan mentaati peraturan pesantren dan juga peraturan yang ada dalam masyarakat.

Abstract

This study focuses on exploring the experiences of the kyai who have founded a pesantren. Founding a pesantren can be interpreted as establishing, raising, and developing a pesantren. These activities, of course, lead to heavy psychological experiences. Although in the end, the kyai still did not step down from the struggle for the pesantren, whatever the challenges and obstacles they faced, their existence in developing resilience was increasingly strengthened. This study is field research using descriptive qualitative. The phenomenological approach is used in this study, which is an approach that pays more attention to the subjective experience of the individual. The setting of this study is the Tahfidzul Qur'an Al-Ma'ruf Pesantren in Kediri, East Java. The primary informant is Kyai Ahmad Fauzan Pujianto as the pesantren’s founder, developer, and caregiver. He has experienced firsthand the events during his time with the pesantren. The results of the study showed several findings, including the types of obstacles to the kyai, among others, receiving death threats, burned down residence, the access road to the house was closed, the recitation study was disbanded, receiving messages of witchcraft (santet), prejudice, and hate speech. The basic principles of the kyai’s resilience in facing these obstacles are as follows: it is mandatory to have the will and ability to annul all personal weaknesses, being free from mental blocking and toxic thoughts, self-function with an accuracy of view, and focusing on self-strength as a human being who is given the potential to develop. The kyai themselves have skills in developing their self-resilience, i.e., by learning ABCS, avoiding thinking traps, detecting icebergs, challenging beliefs, putting in perspective, calming, and focusing. Several factors affect the quality of the kyai’s resilience, including emotion regulation, impulse control, reaching out, a causal analysis. The benefits of this study are as a role model and as a form of self-preparation for (prospective) kyai to strengthen their mentality and self-resilience in facing any form of “tests and obstacles” when establishing, raising, and developing pesantren.

Abstract

Purpose – This research aims to explore a deep understanding of the internalization of the five principles of the Pesantren among all stakeholders, especially the students. Another goal is to explore the essence and implementation of the Panca Jiwa Pondok of the Pesantren that have been initiated by the founders of Pondok Pesantren Gontor in Ponorogo, East Java, and how Gontor alums and non-alumni boarding schools adopt this. Design/methods/approach – This research uses a qualitative method with an ethnomethodological approach. This method focuses on the resources, procedures, and practices that group or community members use to produce and recognize social realities that can be sensed. The research was conducted at Al Kamal Islamic Boarding School in Tambaksari Kuwarasan, Kebumen, Indonesia. Data was collected through natural interviews in daily life involving researchers in the pesantren environment. The data analysis process was conducted descriptively since the first data collection, so it did not wait for excessive data accumulation. Findings – This research reveals three main characteristics of the Panca Jiwa Pondok: strengthening of social piety, strengthening of intrapersonal aspects, and spirituality. The internalization process of "Panca Jiwa Pondok" to the students through stages: introduction, thinking, imitation, and internalization, as well as interpretation. Research implications – The findings of this study have important implications for educational institutions, both general and Islamic-based, regarding the implementation and strengthening of the five principles of the Pesantren in teaching and learning activities. This is expected to help students or students understand the essence of learning so that they can grow into individuals with strong character as learners.

Abstract

The students who has grand mother as mother  were in danger on moral. The students were only controlled by the grand mothers, and it made less education. The grand mothers were too over on giving love, it made the students were spoiled and they did deviant behavior. The Islamic Secondary School Nururohmah has many students who have grand mother as mother did a special way on educating students by understanding Kitab Ta’lim Muta’alim. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of self-compassion and self-disclosure through spirituality on the mental health of adolescents living in orphanages. The research method uses survey techniques with a descriptive quantitative approach with a correlational model. The research subjects were obtained from 3 locations, namely Daarut Taqwa Orphanage, Minggir, Sleman DIY., Mafaza Orphanage, Yogyakarta City, DIY., and La Tazhaan Orphanage, Banguntapan, Bantul, DIY. A total of 165 respondents with vulnerable ages 12-18 years. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, interviews, and research questionnaires. Data analysis technique using SmartPLS version 3 application with secound order embbedded two stages approach. The results of this study show that: 1) There is a positive and significant influence of self-compassion with the mental health of orphanage adolescents, both direct and influence through the medium of spirituality; 2) There was no significant influence between the self-disclosure variable and the mental health of orphanage adolescents directly. However, there is a positive and significant influence between the self-disclosure variable and the mental health of orphanage adolescents through the spirituality mediator variable; 3) There is a positive and significant influence between the spirituality variable and the mental health variable of the orphanage adolescent directly. The implication of this study is that to prevent orphanage adolescents from mental health disorders, it is necessary to strengthen adolescent spirituality consistently and increase self-compassion attitudes in orphanage adolescents.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are educational institutions aimed at providing teachings and understanding of Islamic religion. The life within a boarding school differs greatly from the outside world, which can be shocking for new students. When new students enter a boarding school, they undergo a drastic transition from a free life to a life full of rules. This drastic change often causes many students to feel uncomfortable and experience stress. The stress experienced by students can lead to problems such as anxiety, inability to concentrate during lessons, and psychosomatic disorders. Psychosomatic disorders have also occurred at Al Kamal Islamic Boarding School in Tambaksari, Kuwarasan District, Kebumen. The phenomenon of psychosomatic disorders at Al Kamal Islamic Boarding School has been experienced by several students, showing symptoms such as dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and unexplained pain. These psychosomatic disorders can be addressed through relaxation programs for students at the boarding school. This relaxation program aims to provide education and socialization about psychosomatic disorders, including their causes, symptoms, and ways to overcome them. After receiving education and socialization at Al Kamal Islamic Boarding School, students have knowledge about psychosomatic disorders and how to overcome them. Students also engage in relaxation activities to prevent and minimize psychosomatic disorders.
