Abstract

The diversity of religions and beliefs in Indonesia is part of a rich culture that needs to be preserved. In Babakanmulya village, West Java, there is a unique tradition called “Babarit” that combines the celebration of the Islamic New Year with a harvest thanksgiving ceremony. This tradition involves all elements of society regardless of religious and ethnic backgrounds, functioning as a unifier and glue for social harmony. This study aims to analyze the values of religious moderation in Babarit activities in the village. Using a qualitative approach with analytical descriptive methods, this research reveals the meaning and philosophy of Babarit implementation and its role in maintaining inter-religious harmony. The results show that the Babarit tradition contains religious moderation values such as tolerance, justice, balance between tradition and religious teachings, mutual cooperation, and strengthening social harmony. This activity not only strengthens solidarity between residents, but can also be a model for the development of religious moderation values in other areas. This research suggests further study of the impact of Babarit on cultural and religious identity and its role as a model for religious moderation in other communities in Indonesia.

Abstract

Artikel ini menganalisis lirik lagu “Ya Ummi” Karya Ahmed Bukhatir dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dan pendekatan semiotika. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengumgkapkan  cinta dan spiritualitas melaui pembacaan heuristic dan hermeneutik. Data penelitian diperoleh dari dua sumber utama, yaitu lagu "Ya Ummi" itu sendiri dan data sekunder berupa buku, jurnal, artikel yang membahas lagu "Ya Ummi" dan semiotika Michael Riffaterre. Metode heuristik digunakan untuk mengkaji makna denotatif, struktur bahasa, dan elemen tekstual yang tampak di permukaan, sedangkan pendekatan hermeneutik diterapkan untuk menafsirkan makna yang lebih dalam, termasuk dimensi emosional dan religius yang terkandung dalam lirik lagu. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa “Ya Ummi” bukan hanya ekspresi cinta kasih seorang anak kepada ibunya, tetapi juga refleksi hubungan spiritual antara manusia dan nilai-nilai ketuhanan. Simbolisme, diksi, dan intonasi dalam lagu ini memperkuat pesan moral dan religius, menciptakan harmoni antara cinta duniawi dan spiritualitas. Dengan demikian, lagu ini memiliki makna multidimensional yang relevan dalam konteks budaya dan religius masyarakat Muslim.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengalisis lirik nasyīd anā al-‘abd oleh syekh Misyārī Rāsyid Al-‘Afāsī dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan teori semiotika Michael Riffaterre. Lebih spesifik, artikel ini mengkaji bagaimana hasil pembacaan heuristik dan pembacaan hermeneutik pada lirik nasyīd. Data primer penelitian ini diambil dari liirk nasyīd anā al-‘abd yang diambil dari salah satu album syekh Misyārī Rāsyid Al-‘Afāsī yang berjudul “Qalbī al-Ṣagīr” pada tahun 2006 dan diunggah dalam kanal youtube “Alafasy” pada 3 April 2014. Adapun data sekunder diperoleh dari berbagai sumber berupa buku-buku, tulisan-tulisan, artikel, jurnal dan karya-karya ilmiah terdahulu lainnya yang memiliki hubungan dengan pembahasan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nasyīd anā al-‘abd melalui pembacaan heuristik, berisi pengakuan dosa, perasaan bersalah, dan permohonan ampun secara eksplisit. Sedangkan melalui pembacaan hermeneutik mengandung makna mendalam tentang perjalanan spiritual seorang hamba dari keputusasaan menuju harapan akan pengampunan Tuhan, selaras dengan konsep taubat dalam Islam.

Abstract

 Tulisan ini menguraikan tentang penghormatan dan penghargaan Islam terhadap perempuan sejak dari buaian hingga ke liang lahat dalam segala aspek kehidupan di dunia ini. Oleh karena itu, pertanyaan yang ditawarkan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana kedudukan perempuan sebelum Islam?. Jenis penelitian artikel ini yaitu deskriktif dengan pendekatan kemanusian, sosial dan historis yang disajikan dengan penjelasan dari literatur kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perempuan sebelum Islam kurang menemukan hak-haknya, tidak ada penghormatan serta tidak memiliki nilai. Islam datang dengan membawa pedoman aturan dan syariat yang memberikan segala hak perempuan dalam kehidupannya. Adapun kesamaran yang terdapat pada perempuan banyak sekali ditemukan seperti kematangan akal kurang dibandingkan dengan pria, penciptaannya dari tulang rusuk, anggapan bahwa mayoritas penghuni neraka dari kalangan perempuan dan seterusnya, tetapi harus dipahami secara baik dan sehat. Perempuan memiliki hak sejak dini dalam lingkungan keluarga. Oleh karena itu, perempuan hendaknya menggunakan hak-haknya untuk menyempurnakan kekurangan-kekurangan yang terdapat dalam dirinya secara baik dan benar                                                                                                                         .Kata Kunci: Islam dan Perempuan; Penghormatan Perempuan; Kekurangan Perempuanالملخصهذه المقالة تتحدث عن تكريم الإسلام للمرأة من المهد إلى اللهد في جميع أنحاء العالم ولذلك كانت الأسئلة المطروحة في هذه المقالة هي كيف مكانة المرأة قبل الإسلام؟ ما هي الشبهات حول موضوع تكريم الإسلام للمرأة. نوع البحث المستخدم في هذه المقالة هو البحث الوصفي النوعي باستخدام النهج الإنساني والاجتماعي والتاريخي، وجمع البيانا بطريقة مكتبية. نتيجة البحث تجيب عن هذه الأسئلة وهي أن المرأة قبل الإسلام منفية الحقوق، لا كرامة لها و لا قيمة. فقد جاء الإسلام بقوانين وشرائع تعطي للمرأة حقها في الحياة. وأن الشبهات حول موضوع تكريم المرأة كثيرة كنقص عقلها وخلقها من ضلع أعوج وأكثرها أهل النار وغير ذلك لابد أن نفهمها بفهم سليم. والمستفاد من هذا البحث بأن للمرأة حقوقا منذ طفولتها في الأسرة والمجتمع، فعليها أخذ هذه الحقوق. الفهم السليم يبعد الإنسان عن الشبهات حول تكريم المرأة وإعطاء حقوقها.كلمة افتتاحية: الإسلام المرأة تكريم المرأة شبهات

Abstract

The issue of global environmental degradation requires a multi-perspective approach, including from a religious perspective. This article examines the concept of ecological jihad from the semantic perspective of the Qur'an as a form of spiritual and social responsibility of Muslims towards environmental preservation. This research aims to explore the meaning of the word jihad and related terms such as khalifah, fase, islah, and mizan to understand their semantic expansion in the contemporary ecological context. This study uses a qualitative approach with semantic-linguistic analysis of relevant Qur'anic verses. The results of the study indicate that jihad in the Qur'an is not limited to armed struggle, but encompasses various forms of earnest effort, including preserving the environment as a form of ecological jihad. These basic principles serve as an ethical and theological basis for building ecological awareness. Furthermore, ecological jihad is understood as a collective effort of the ummah to prevent damage to the earth (fasad fi al-ardh) through concrete actions ranging from a lifestyle revolution (reducing consumption, implementing zero-waste), participation in conservation (reforestation, waste management), environmental education, to advocacy for pro-environmental policies. Thus, ecological jihad can be interpreted as a form of devotion to God that reflects faith, social concern, and human responsibility as caliphs for stewardship of the earth. These actions are concrete manifestations of efforts to prevent damage to the earth and achieve the common good, in line with the spirit of jihad in the Quran as a constructive and beneficial struggle.life, humans must never escape from mistakes, especially Muslims. The Qur'an should be the main foundation in all walks of life and be a guide in every matter and problem, including in achieving repentance to Allah SWT. However, there are many factors that can mislead humans, lead to the wrong path and tempt humans to follow temptations, lusts that can lead to sin, especially in a life that is increasingly deviating from Islamic teachings. The result can destroy man and prevent him from doing good. Therefore, it is necessary for humans to refer to the Qur'an as a helper to get an understanding of asking for forgiveness for the sins that have been committed through repentance.

Abstract

الملخص التصوف الإسلامي هو الدراسة الباطنية التي تجمع بين هدفي الدنيا والآخرة. وهو التصوف الذي يجعل العبد أقرب إلى ربه في حياته الدنيا الفانية. ولذلك، تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن حقيقة التصوف الإسلامي، واستكشاف تاريخ تطورها ودراسة النظرة الصوفية العامة عن الإسلام رحمة للعالمين. وهذا البحث نوعي بخصائص وصفية تفسيرية وهو جزء من البحث المكتبي (library research). وتشير نتيجة البحث إلى وجود الاختلافات بين العلماء والصوفيين حول أصل كلمة التصوف ظاهرا وباطنا، وتاريخ تطور التصوف من عدة أطوار، من بداية نشأته ونهضته حتى انحداره، والنظرة الصوفية الشاملة عن الإسلام رحمة للعالمين هي التوازن بين العلاقة بالله سبحانه وتعالى، والعلاقة مع إخواننا الإنسانية والعلاقة بالمخلوقات في العالم. ويمكن أن تساهم هذه الدراسة في تكوين الجيل المسلم المستقبل كائنا متحضرا ومتأدبا، قويا من الناحية الروحية، نشيطًا في المجتمع، محافظا ومعتنيا على النظام البيئي. الكلمات المفتاحية: التصوف الإسلامي؛ الصوفي؛ الإسلام رحمة للعالمين

Abstract

Background: Many  foods  and  beverage  products  are  currently  using  Arabic  as advertisements  to  promote  product contents and  explain  how  to  present them in a contemporary language style to make it easier for consumers from across countries. Purpose: This study aims to (1) describe  the process  of forming  Arabic vocabulary advertised on food and beverage products and (2) find out the meaning and style of Arabic used in food and beverage products. Method: This study applies a stylistic and semantic field approach to library research. Primary data was collected and identified through seven product advertisements serving food  and  beverages.  Data  were  analyzed  descriptively  through  the  identification  of vocabulary, analysis of the use of advertising language style, and variants of meaning. Results and Discussion: The results of this study indicate that there is a similarity in the use of imperative sentences in the manner of presenting products, the advertising language used to explain how to present food and beverage products always uses the style of uslub al-Amr (command word) to do something. In addition, the word forms used have ten different meanings according to the context of the sentence. Conclusions and Implications: The results  of  this study have implications for  acquiring new Arabic vocabulary with contemporary advertising language styles, which can be done by studying product presentation instructions.

Abstract

Fokus penelitian ini pada aksiologi linguistik Arab dalam merekonstruksi pemahaman keagamaan kaum jihadis. Gerakan-gerkan provokatif, ekstrimis dan radikalis masih saja hadir di tengah-tengah masyarakat Indonesia. Ini disebabkan karena keterbatasan pemikiran dalam memahami dan menerapkan ajaran agama Islam secara sempurna. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap peran dan manfaat Bahasa Arab dalam merekonstruksi pandangan keagamaan kaum jihadis. Untuk mengungkap hal tersebut peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode pendekatan normatif yang diimpelementasikan dengan menjadikan norma bahasa Arab dan sosial budaya sebagai rujukan. Untuk pengolahan data, metode yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan (library research) dan metode analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian mengungkap bahwa perspektif semantik dan makna relasional jihad dapat dipahami bahwa esensi dan peran linguistik Arab sangat signifikan dalam menafsirkan jihad lebih humanis dan lebih sesuai dengan nilai-nilai kemanusiaan. Linguistik Arab juga memiliki banyak manfaat, antara lain meningkatkan pemahaman keagamaan manusia terhadap agama Islam yang penuh dengan cinta dan kasih sayang. Tulisan ini dapat berkontribusi dalam meluruskan pemahaman jihad. Terutama meluruskan pemahaman keagamaan kaum jihadis yang dapat menghentikan dan menghapus gerakan-gerakan ekstrimis dan radikalis di Indonesia.This research focuses on the axiology of Arabic linguistics in reconstructing the religious understanding of the Jihadists. Provocative, extremist and radical movements are still present in the midst of society in Indonesia. This is due to limited acknowledgments in understanding and applying the teachings of Islam. This research aims to reveal the role and benefits of Arabic in reconstructing the religious views of the Jihadists. To reveal this, the researcher uses a descriptive qualitative research method with a normative approach that is implemented by utilizing Arabic language and socio-cultural norms as references. For data processing, the method used is library research and descriptive analysis method. The results revealed that the semantic perspective and relational meaning of Jihad can be understood as the essence and role of Arabic linguistics are significant in interpreting Jihad as more humanist and more compatible with human values. Arabic linguistics also has many benefits, including enhancing human religious understanding of Islam, which is full of love and compassion. This paper can contribute to rectify the understanding of Jihad. In particular, clarifying the religious understanding of Jihadists can stop and eliminate extremist and radical movements in Indonesia.

Abstract

Moderation is one of the most popular-discussed themes lately. Therefore, this study aims to reveal the meaning of probability in the moderation verse through qualitative research with descriptive-interpretative characteristics to describe opinions and ideas as well as to verify and interpret the data contained in the moderation verse. Obviously, this research is part of library research with a language and semantic approach. Methods of data collection through library research, editing, organizing, finding and documentary. Data analysis through deductive, interpretive, and comparative techniques. The results of the study show that the word (al wasth) has a meaning: a name between two sides, honesty and justice (al-'adl wa al 'iada), the meaning of choice (al khiyar), moderate, and balance. Al Wasth is between excess and negligence (al-irath wa al tafrith), moderate in faith and belief, moderate in the needs of the soul and body, and moderate in spiritual and material matters. The causes for the occurrence of probability meanings in words (al wasth) include: verbal association (polysemy), integration of morphological formulas and changes in true meaning to metaphors. It is hoped that the results of this research will have advantages and benefits in deepening the unique language and diction of the Qur'an al-Karim and its deep connotations. This paper certainly supports the concept of religious moderation in Indonesia to tackle religious extremism and terrorism. Understanding the meaning of moderation will open opportunities for dialogue, openness and tolerance.

Abstract

Al-Takdi>m and al-Ta’khi>r are considered among the most important aspects of the miracle of the holy Qur’an, as every word in it comes in a distinctive way, and every change in this arrangement becomes a clear defect in the meaning. Despite the many secrets of al-Takdi>m and al-Ta’khi>r and its various types, many commentators did not pay attention to it and did not explain the secrets it has in its meaning. Speech, and most of their care in explaining what was presented was to say: Al-Takdi>m and al-Ta’khi>r are a form of care and attention, and for this reason some scholars blamed those who made the matter of al-Takdi>m easy and his status small; This is because they think that it is sufficient to say about everything that has been presented: it has been brought forward to be taken care of, and because mentioning it is more important. Al-Alusi explained and applied the miracle of the Qur’an, especially the al-Takdi>m and al-Ta’khi>r in its interpretation called the Spirit of Meanings in the Interpretation of the Great Qur’an and the Seven Repeated Verses, a book famous for its author’s interest in the rhetorical aspect of the Holy Qur’an. This research deals with the secrets of al-Takdi>m and al-Ta’khi>r in Al-Alusi’s interpretation, through the inductive approach. Where its secrets are extrapolated in its interpretation; The comparative approach is to compare all the opinions mentioned regarding the secrets of advancement and delay with other exegetical books. At the end of this research, the results come, the most important of which are: the secrets of al-Takdi>m and al-Ta’khi>r: attention to the advance and interest to the latter, specification, and al-Takdi>m because it is included in praise, and the declaration of equality, and al-Takdi>m in existence, and al-Takdi>m of the best, and al-Takdi>m the path of receiving revelation. The secrets of al-Takdi>m and al-Ta’khi>r are considered in the interpretation of Al-Alusi, as an extension of Abd al-Qahir al-Jurjani’s approach to systems theory in his book “Dala’il al-I’jaz”, Al-Alusi distinguished himself from Al-Zamakhshari, Al-Razi, Abu Hayyan, and other commentators who preceded him in many investigations into the secrets of al-Takdi>m and al-Ta’khi>r in the holy Qur’an.
