Abstract

ABSTRACT The study was conducted on 26-31 May 2018 at BBI Kurnia Indah Mahato Village KM 37 Tambusai Utara Rokan Hulu Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the best dose of the effect of the combination of ovaprim and oxytocin hormones with different ratios for ovulation and hatching of fish eggs baung. The method used in this study is the experimental method. The treatments applied in this study were: P0 = Injecting with 100% ovaprim 0.5 ml / kg, P1 = Injecting with 25% oxytocin + 75% ovaprim, P2 = Injecting with 50% oxytocin + 50% ovaprim, P3 = Injecting with 75% oxytocin + 25% ovaprim, P4 = Injection with 100% oxytocin 0.7 ml / kg. The results of this study concluded that ovaprim can be combined with oxytocin to stimulate ovulation and hatching of eggs in baung fish (Hemibagrus nemurus). The best dosage was obtained in P2 treatment (50% ovaprim and 50% oxytocin) which resulted in the fastest latency time of 6 hours 31 minutes, the number of eggs stripping as much as 63 g / parent, and IOS value 3.17%, increase in egg diameter 0.343 mm, egg maturity increase 28%, fertilization value 68%, hatching value 71.3%, and survival value (SR5 days) of 77%. Keywords: Injections, Oxytocin Hormones, Ovaprim Hormones, Baung Fish ((Hemibagrus nemurus))

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was conducted in May-June 2021 at the Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Riau University, Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of different concentrations of termite soil solution on egg adhesion, hatchability and survival rate of African catfish larvae. The method used is an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) model with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The concentration of termite soil used was P1= Immersion of African catfish eggs into termite soil solution with a concentration of0 gram(as a control). P2= Immersion of African catfish eggs into termite soil solution with a concentration of 2 gram/L water. P3= Immersion of African catfish eggs into termite soil solution with a concentration of 4 gram/L of water. P4= Immersion of African catfish eggs into termite soil solution with a concentration of 6 gram/L of water.. Eggs used1 gram/ treatment. Eggs were spread in an aquarium of 12 units with a capacity of40 Lfilled with 20L water/container. The results showed that different concentrations of termite soil solution had an effect on egg adhesion, fertilization rate, hatching rate, and larval survival. The best treatment was P3 (4 g/L) which produced 86.84% adhesion, 80.57% fertilization rate, 80.35% hatching rate, and 92.02% survival rate.Kata Kunci: African catfish, egg adhesion, termite soil.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was conducted on July - September 2021, at Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory of Fishery and Marine Faculty of Riau University. The research aim is to determine the effect of Recombinant Growth Hormone (rGH) with optimal doses based on immersion duration and different age on growth and survival rate of freshwater pomfret fish larvae. The method used was Completely Randomized Design with 2 factors. The first factor was the immersion time with 4 levels, namely 0 minutes (P0), 30 minutes (P30), 60 minutes (P60) and 90 minutes (P90). The second factor is larvae age with 3 levels, namely 3 days (H3), 5 days (H5) and 7 days (H7). Larvae was kept for 40 days in an aquarium with a density of 2 fish/L. The findings showed that recombinant growth hormone (rGH) with different immersion time and larvae age affected the growth of absolute weight and length, specific growth rate, and also survival rate of freshwater pomfret fish larvae. The treatment of 60 minutes immersion time and 7 days of larvae age (P60H7) showed the highest growth, namely absolute weight 3.22 g, absolute length 5.81 cm, specific growth rate of 17.06%/day, and survival rate of 92%. The parameter of water quality during the research was 27.6-27.9°C, pH 6.4-7.4, dissolved oxygen 6.4-7.1 mg/L, ammonia 0.003-0.146 mg/L, and an alkalinity of 7 ,4-22.3 mg/L. Keywords : Immersion Duration, Different Age, Recombinant Growth Hormone,Colossoma macropomum, Growth, Survival Rate.

This research aims to determine the effect of sGnRH-a + domperidone with different doses of the ovulation stimulation and the eggs quality of Nilem Carp (O. hasselti CV) which is the first step of research and then the best dosage obtained through observations in the first step will then be injected against gonads mature female brood and then will spawn with the male injected with the best dose (0.4 ml/kg body weight) through research "sGnRH-a + domperidone With Different Doses for Volume, Concentration and Cement Quality of Nilem Carp (O. hasselti CV) as the second step of this research. The results showed that sGnRH-a + domperidone at a dose of 0.6 ml/kg body weight were significant (p<0,05) for the latent time, total eggs ovulation, egg diameter increase, eggs maturity and ovisomatik index value, with the best results for the latent time (6.15 hours), total eggs ovulation (242 eggs/g gonads), egg diameter increase (0.9125 mm), eggs maturity (20 %) and ovisomatik value index (14.75 %). Results of the second step resulted in average: fertility rate (81.33 %), hatching rate (81.76 %), absolute length growth (1.91 cm), absolute weight growth (0.27 g), daily growth rate (10.17 %) and the rate of survival (95.1 %). Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research was carried out for 40 days, from 10 May to 20 June 2019, at the fish hatchery and Breeding Laboratory Department of Aquaculture, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine. University of Riau. This study aims to determine the effect of the length of feed change time Tubifex sp. with the best pasta feed on the growth and survival of koi fish (Cyprinus carpio) larvae. That are kept for 40 days in an aquarium container size of 30x30x30 cm as many as 12 pieces, filled with water as much as 15 liters/container, densely stocked 2 fish/liter. The method used in this research was the experimental method. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) one factor with 5 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments used were P1 (Tubifex sp. For 40 days), P2 (Tubifex sp. 10 days + 30-day Pasta ), P3 (Tubifex sp. 20 days + 20-day Pasta ), P4 (Tubifex sp. 30 days + Pasta 10 days), P5 (pasta for 40 days). The best growth research results was obtained in the treatment of P1 (Tubifex sp. For 40 days) with an average growth of absolute weight 3,43 grams, growth of absolute length 5,93 cm, specific growth rate of 13,84% /day. As for the variation of the best change of time, there were treatments in P4 (Tubifex sp. 30 days + 10day Pasta) with an average absolute weight growth of 2.97 grams, absolute length 5.31 cm, specific growth rate of 13.70% /day, for survival rate not significantly different for treatment. Water quality during the study was temperature ranging from 27-31 °C, pH 5,4-6,5 and DO of 4,1-5,2 ppm. Keywords : Feed Substitution, Tubifex sp., Pasta feed, koi fish (Cyprinus carpio) larvae, Growth, Survival Rate
