Abstract

Financial literacy initiatives are crucial in empowering communities for small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) development. This qualitative literature review explores the landscape of financial literacy programs targeting SMEs, their effectiveness, and the contextual factors influencing their outcomes. The research methodology systematically selects peer-reviewed articles, books, and reports published between 2012 and 2022, utilizing databases such as PubMed, Google Scholar, Web of Science, and Scopus. Data collection entails thorough reading and analysis of selected sources, followed by iterative coding to identify key themes and insights. The findings reveal a diverse range of financial literacy interventions, including workshops, training seminars, and online resources, tailored to address the specific needs of SME owners and entrepreneurs. Cultural, socio-economic, and institutional contexts significantly influence the design and implementation of these programs, highlighting the importance of contextual sensitivity. Participation in financial education programs positively impacts SMEs' financial knowledge, decision-making abilities, and business performance, leading to improved access to financing and sustainable growth. However, challenges such as resource constraints and low financial awareness hinder the scalability and effectiveness of these initiatives. Leveraging technology and innovative delivery methods, such as digital platforms and social media, holds promise in expanding the reach and impact of financial literacy programs, particularly in underserved communities. This review underscores the importance of continued investment in financial education to unlock the full potential of SMEs as drivers of economic prosperity and social progress.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dampak pelatihan digital marketing dan pemanfaatan aplikasi Point of Sale (POS) terhadap peningkatan keterampilan pelaku UMKM di Kabupaten Gowa, Sulawesi Selatan. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 10–11 Februari 2025, melibatkan 30 peserta dari berbagai sektor UMKM. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta sebelum dan setelah pelatihan. Hasil pre-test menunjukkan skor rata-rata yang relatif rendah, sementara skor post-test mengalami peningkatan signifikan, menandakan bahwa pelatihan berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman peserta terhadap strategi digital marketing dan aplikasi POS. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan digital marketing dapat membantu peserta dalam mengoptimalkan media sosial dan platform digital untuk promosi produk, sementara pemanfaatan aplikasi POS terbukti mempermudah manajemen transaksi dan pengelolaan inventori. Meskipun demikian, terdapat beberapa tantangan yang dihadapi peserta, seperti keterbatasan akses internet dan kesulitan dalam memahami teknologi digital yang lebih kompleks. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pelatihan berbasis teknologi digital dapat meningkatkan kompetensi pelaku UMKM dan membantu mereka beradaptasi dengan tuntutan ekonomi digital yang semakin berkembang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the potential for developing the export of Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) from Sulalam Topejawa as a flagship regional product of Takalar Regency. The study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method to deeply explore internal and external factors influencing VCO exports. Data collection methods include in-depth interviews, direct observations, document analysis, and comparative studies with other countries such as the Philippines and Sri Lanka. The results show that although global demand for VCO continues to increase, Sulalam VCO still faces significant challenges, including low production standards, lack of international certification, traditional production technology, and weak global branding and marketing strategies. On the other hand, the product has advantages such as abundant local raw material availability, high health value as a natural product, and significant potential for product diversification. Strategies to enhance competitiveness can be carried out through improving production standards and obtaining international certifications such as USDA Organic and HACCP, optimizing global supply chains, implementing aggressive digital marketing, and diversifying products through innovation. Synergy between the government, private sector, and local communities is also essential for the successful development of Sulalam VCO exports. This study provides important recommendations for business actors and the government in developing the VCO industry sustainably, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of local products in the international market and positively impacting the economic well-being of the local community.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance digital literacy among MSMEs in Warung Asem Batang Village as a strategy to improve local economic capacity in the digital era. The method used involves digital training sessions, mentoring, and practical implementation of social media and e-commerce for business promotion. The training activities demonstrated that the participants’ knowledge and skills in digital technology increased significantly, particularly in the use of smartphones, the creation of advertising content, and the use of digital platforms for marketing. Several participants were able to directly apply their learning by creating business profiles on social media, uploading promotional content, and making online sales. However, the program also encountered challenges such as limited access to digital infrastructure and varying participant abilities. These findings indicate that digital empowerment for MSMEs can be effectively implemented with a structured and contextual approach. Strengthening digital literacy among rural entrepreneurs is expected to drive inclusive and sustainable economic development.

Abstract

Poverty in Indonesia is not only caused by low income but also by limited access to education, health, and basic services. West Papua has a high poverty rate compared to the national average, suggesting that economic growth and investment have not been effective in reducing it. This study aims to analyze the impact of investment and labor absorption on poverty through economic growth in West Papua. The research method used BPS secondary data from 13 districts/cities during 2011–2023, analyzed with Eviews 13 and Microsoft Excel. Panel data regression with Chow, Hausman, and Lagrange Multiplier tests is used to determine the best model, as well as regression tests, R², and F-tests to measure relationships between variables. The results showed that investment and GDP growth significantly reduced poverty, while labor absorption had no significant effect. The impact of investment depends on the sector and the distribution of benefits, while economic growth has the greatest influence on poverty reduction. Therefore, policies must direct investment to labor-intensive sectors, improve the quality of the workforce, and ensure inclusive economic growth so that the benefits are evenly distributed throughout society.

Abstract

Purpose: This service aims to increase the knowledge and skills of young women in processing milkfish into healthy snacks that are appealing, thus promoting better nutritional intake and economic opportunities in Bonto Langkasa, Minasa Te’ne District, Pangkajene and Islands Regency. Methodology/approach: This activity was carried out in Bonto Langkasa with participating adolescent girls as the main target. The project adopted a participatory approach, including nutritional counseling, hands-on training using simple, locally sourced tools, and digital marketing workshops. Materials used were fresh milkfish, healthy additives, and packaging sourced from local markets. Pre- and post-tests, as well as follow-up surveys, were conducted to measure changes in knowledge, skills, and snack production rates. Results/findings: The program successfully increased participants’ knowledge about nutrition and practical skills in producing healthy milkfish-based snacks. Several participants started small-scale production, selling snacks in their communities. The project also improved participants' digital marketing competencies. Conclusion: Community service that focuses on innovative, healthy snacks using local resources, such as milkfish, can bridge nutritional knowledge-practice gaps, contribute to adolescent health, and foster economic opportunities for young women. This model is sustainable and replicable in other fishing communities. Limitations: Milkfish snack innovation is limited by simple technology, cultural preferences, basic nutritional focus, limited digital marketing, and narrow youth coverage, requiring further studies in other regions. Contribution: The contribution of this community service is to enhance nutritional knowledge, and develop healthy snack production skills, empower young women economically, optimize local milkfish production, and expand marketing through digital means.

Abstract

Kedai kopi Nordu dikabupaten sintang adalah objek dalam penelitian ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis strategi pemasaran digital yang diterapkan kedai kopi Nordu. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif melalui wawancara mendalam dengan karyawan yang terlibat pada pemasaran digital dan pengelola media sosial, observasi disertai dengan dokumentasi. Fokus penelitian ini mencakup empat aspek pemasaran digital yaitu keberadaan situs web, mesin pencari, e-mail pemasaran dan penggunaan media sosial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kedai kopi Nordu telah mengoptimalkan media sosial sebagai saluran utama untuk menjalin interaksi dengan konsumen terutama di Instagram. Sementara itu, keterbatasan situs web masih terbatas dalam bentuk halaman informasi dasar dan belum dimaksimalkan sebagai sarana promosi. Strategi pemasaran berbasis mesin pencari serta e-mail marketing belum menjadi bagian dari strategi yang diimplementasikan secara aktif. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi pemasaran digital Nordu sangat efektif untuk membangun identitas merek dimedia sosial, tetapi masih memberikan potensi pengembangan pada saluran digital lainnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas strategi manajemen investasi saham yang dapat diterapkan oleh investor pemula dengan modal kecil. Meningkatnya minat masyarakat terhadap pasar modal tidak diiringi dengan literasi keuangan dan strategi investasi yang memadai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perilaku investor pemula, strategi Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA), dan penerapan compound mindset dalam investasi jangka menengah hingga panjang. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi terhadap 10 investor pemula. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi DCA yang dilakukan secara rutin dan konsisten mampu mendorong pertumbuhan portofolio, meskipun dimulai dengan modal terbatas. Simulasi menunjukkan akumulasi nilai portofolio lebih dari Rp.7.500.000 setelah 12 bulan, dengan asumsi return bulanan 1,25%. Selain itu, media sosial dan komunitas investasi berperan besar dalam membentuk perilaku investasi pemula. Strategi sederhana yang tepat dan mindset jangka panjang terbukti efektif membantu membentuk kebiasaan finansial yang sehat. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan fitur edukatif berbasis aplikasi dan komunitas investasi untuk mendukung literasi keuangan masyarakat.

Abstract

Disrupsi, sebuah fenomena yang melahirkan pergeseran sistem lama menjadi sistem baru memaksa masyarakat untuk “berevolusi” di berbagai aspek hidupnya, khususnya pada sektor ekonomi. Para pelaku UMKM di Kota Tuban menjadi salah satu lapisan masyarakat yang secara tidak langsung dituntut untuk beradaptasi dalam era disrupsi ini. Penulisan ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analisis dengan studi kepustakaan. Penelitian ini berusaha untuk menjelaskan secara konseptual bagaimana disrupsi dapat mempengaruhi pola hidup bermasyarakat yang bergerak di bidang ekonomi. Selain itu, penelitian ini memberi analisis tentang literasi atau pengetahuan tentang konsep digitalisasi ekonomi yang akan menjadi relevan untuk diterapkan dalam rangka menghadapi disrupsi, khususnya UMKM di Kota Tuban.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve digital literacy among MSME actors in Kassi Village, Jeneponto Regency, particularly in the use of QRIS and digital marketing. MSME actors in this area often face limitations in accessing digital technology that can enhance their business efficiency and competitiveness. The training provided includes an introduction to QRIS as a digital payment system that facilitates transactions, as well as digital marketing techniques through social media and e-commerce platforms. The training results showed a significant increase in MSME actors’ knowledge of QRIS, from 45% in the pre-test to 85% in the post-test. In addition, skills in digital marketing also improved significantly, with more than 60% of MSME actors actively using social media to market their products. The use of QRIS has also accelerated transactions and reduced dependence on cash payments. The implementation of digital marketing has expanded the market reach of local products, which were previously limited to only local markets. Increasing digital literacy (QRIS and marketing) increases efficiency and expands the MSME market, creating more sustainable opportunities.
