Abstract

This study explores tombstone characteristics to reveal socio-cultural patterns of past societies, particularly in ancient Jambi. Traditional archaeology often relies on qualitative methods, which can overlook underlying patterns in the data. This research addresses that gap by integrating quantitative analysis, specifically cluster analysis, to complement and enhance qualitative interpretations. Using primary data from 50 graves, which include both categorical and continuous variables, the study identifies relationships among tombstone features and classifies them into five distinct clusters. These clusters reflect variations in socio-economic status and illuminate burial practices and cultural traditions of the time. By combining qualitative and quantitative approaches, the research offers a more holistic view of historical contexts and social stratification. The findings underscore the importance of using mixed data clustering in archaeology to uncover patterns that may not be visible through conventional methods alone. This methodological innovation contributes to improving archaeological research practices in Indonesia and has the potential to inform future studies across cultural and historical contexts. Overall, this research not only deepens our understanding of the social fabric of ancient Jambi but also paves the way for broader applications of data-driven approaches in cultural heritage and archaeological investigations.

Abstract

Stock returns are an indicator of investment returns that reflect the profits or losses incurred by investors over a specific period. This study aims to analyze the effect of Audit Quality, Earnings Per Share (EPS), Price to Book Value (PBV), and Islamic Social Reporting (ISR) on stock returns, both collectively and individually. The research focuses on food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) during the 2018–2023 period. The method used in this study is a descriptive quantitative approach utilizing secondary data. The population and sample consisted of 11 food and beverage sub-sector companies listed on the ISSI. Data collection was conducted through documentation techniques, while data analysis used panel data regression. The results show that Audit Quality, EPS, PBV, and ISR simultaneously influence stock returns. Partially, the variables Price to Book Value and Islamic Social Reporting were shown to have a significant influence on stock returns, while Audit Quality and Earnings Per Share did not. Based on the coefficient of determination value, it is known that the independent variables in this study are able to explain the variation in stock returns by 87.51%, while the remainder is influenced by other factors outside the research model

Abstract

The region's economic development was measured through various indicators, including the level of public consumption, which was influenced by income and population. This study aimed to analyze and determine the effect of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) per capita and the population size on the level of public consumption in Jambi Province from 2021 to 2023. The approach was a quantitative method with panel data regression analysis to evaluate the impact of GRDP per capita and high population on public consumption in the region. The most suitable method in the research was the fixed effect model. The data was collected through the library research method sourced from the Jambi Province Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The study results showed that GRDP per capita and the population size significantly influenced public consumption. The implications of this study provided results that could be taken into consideration by local governments to focus on increasing regional productivity and creating equitable employment to maintain people’s purchasing power. Local governments also needed to develop programs that were adaptive to population dynamics so that consumption growth remained stable and sustainable.

Abstract

The Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) is a government program designed to provide affordable housing for Low-Income Communities (MBR). In practice, FLPP financing implemented through murabahah contracts is exposed to the risk of non-performing financing (NPF). This study aims to identify the factors causing problematic FLPP financing and analyze the handling strategies implemented by Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) KCP Jambi Hayam Wuruk. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that problematic financing is caused by internal factors, including low payment discipline and customer moral hazard, as well as external factors such as declining income due to economic instability. The handling strategies implemented include intensive collection efforts, persuasive approaches, periodic monitoring, and financing restructuring in accordance with Islamic principles. These strategies contribute to maintaining financing quality while providing protection for customers experiencing financial difficulties.

Abstract

The income distribution gap is one of the significant development challenges, even though economic growth and HDI show an increasing trend every year. This study aims to analyze the influence of economic growth, the Human Development Index (HDI), and the number of population on income distribution gaps in Jambi Province during the 2018–2024 period.  The method used was panel data regression analysis with a quantitative approach. The results show that partially, economic growth has a negative but not significant effect on income distribution gaps, which indicates that economic growth has not been enjoyed equally by all levels of society. Meanwhile, HDI and population have a significant and positive effect on income distribution gaps. The uneven increase in HDI in all regions actually widens the gap, while the increase in the number of people that is not balanced with productivity and equal distribution of resources increases inequality. Simultaneously, these three variables have a significant effect on income distribution gaps, as evidenced by the results of the F test.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing the adoption of BYOND mobile banking among Generation Z in Jambi City using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method of 384 Generation Z respondents in Jambi City selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method with the help of the SmartPLS application. The research variables include perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness as independent variables, intention to use as a mediating variable, and technology adoption as a dependent variable. The results show that perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness have a positive and significant effect on the intention to use BYOND mobile banking. Both variables are also proven to have a positive and significant effect on technology adoption. Furthermore, intention to use has a positive and significant effect on the adoption of BYOND technology. The results of the mediation test indicate that intention to use is able to mediate the influence of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness on technology adoption. These findings suggest that Generation Z's BYOND adoption process is influenced not only by perceived convenience and immediate benefits, but also by the development of interest in using the app. This research implies that increasing BYOND adoption needs to be directed at enhancing ease of use, enhancing service benefits, and creating a user experience that can foster continued interest in use.
