Abstract

This study discusses the impact of digital technology on Balaghah learning among students. Through the implementation of interactive media, educational videos, and gamification elements, the literature indicates potential improvements in students' understanding of Arabic language theories. Digital technology not only enhances engagement and motivation for learning but also provides broader access to information sources, allowing students to explore the material independently. Despite challenges such as student distraction, the advantages of integrating technology appear to outweigh the drawbacks. The study emphasizes the need for effective classroom management approaches to minimize disruptions. By applying innovations in learning, it is hoped that students will gain a deeper understanding of Balaghah theories and appreciate the beauty of the Arabic language. The literature highlights the importance of technology in creating engaging and relevant learning experiences for students in the digital age.

Abstract

Nahwu learning in pesantren (Islamic boarding school) environments often employs the bandongan method, a one-way teaching model where the instructor reads, translates, and explains the classical book, while the students note the meaning using Pegon Arabic script. Although this method has become a deeply rooted tradition, its effectiveness in achieving a comprehensive understanding of Nahwu remains debated. This study aims to analyze the challenges and effectiveness of using makna gandul (Pegon Arabic script notes) in Nahwu learning through a literature review. The method used is a library study, examining relevant theories, pedagogical methods, and previous research findings. The review results indicate that the bandongan method has several weaknesses, such as a passive learning process, limited mastery of the Pegon script, local language barriers, and difficulty in understanding the text holistically. However, this method still has advantages, especially in helping students directly identify sentence structures. With the passage of time, adaptations such as the addition of discussion sessions are beginning to increase the communicative nature of this method. Thus, the effectiveness of the bandongan method is highly dependent on context, student readiness, and the accompanying pedagogical innovations.

Abstract

The Alala Book is a small book containing a collection of advice poems in the Ta'lim Mutaa'llim book by Sheikh Al-Zarnuji. This book is widely studied in various educational institutions, especially Islamic boarding schools. The book of Alala has its charm because it contains poems that have a beauty value in terms of the beauty of the lafadz, including poetry. This study aims to discover what types of poetry are included in the Alala book. With the science of poetry, researchers can determine the final letters in the two fashilah and select the kind of poems. The method used by the researcher in this study is a qualitative method with a literature study approach, namely by describing the data by finding the final letters contained in two or more fashilah to determine what types of poetry are included in the Alala book. The results of this study conclude that poetry is divided into three styles, including mutharraf, murashsha' and mutawazi poetry. The number of poems in this book is 17 poems consisting of seven mutharraf poems, one murashsha verse, and nine mutawazi poems.
