Abstract

STEAM-based learning in Gowa district has not been optimised despite its relevant local potential. Teachers have difficulty integrating science, technology, art, engineering and mathematics into the P5 Project. Community service activities are designed with the aim of improving teacher competence through practice-based training, intensive mentoring, and the formation of learning communities. This programme also aims to strengthen the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasises collaborative and contextual learning. Participants totalled 20 high school teachers from various schools. The initial stage of socialisation showed the urgency of training, because 75% of teachers had never developed a STEAM-based project. The workshop then produced a simple hydroponic project design. Quantitative data showed an increase in concept understanding from 45% to 82% and project design skills from 42% to 80%. The satisfaction survey recorded that 90% of teachers considered the activities relevant to their needs. The satisfaction survey recorded 90% of teachers rated the activities as relevant to their needs. Qualitative data shows that teachers feel more confident in integrating across disciplines, students show high engagement during project implementation, STEAM learning communities begin to form as a means of sustainability. This fact confirms that the combination of socialisation, training and mentoring is able to address teachers' needs. A brief conclusion states that the programme has succeeded in significantly improving teacher competence. This effort strengthens the implementation of Merdeka Curriculum, confirms the urgency of practice-based training, while supporting the achievement of P5 Project objectives in Gowa District schools.

Abstract

Community service partners are housewives who live in Tritiro Village, Samboang District, Bulukumba Regency. The majority of people's income comes from fishing and the amount is uncertain every month. The location of this service is around a cliff that borders the coast. Yards of residents' houses are generally not used optimally, only left empty and overgrown with wild plants, or some ornamental plants. The solution provided is training in planting family medicinal plants that can be used for consumption of family herbal medicines. If production can exceed needs, produce or plants can be sold to supplement family income. The method is carried out by providing (1) Introduction to family medicinal plants, (2) Counseling on optimizing the use of the home yard in growing family medicinal plants, (3) Introduction to fertile and infertile soil (planting medium), (4) TOGA planting training (family medicinal plants). Keywords: Medicinal plants, Optimizing the home yard.

Abstract

Lesson study merupakan strategi pembinaan profesi guru berkelanjutan berbasis kelas & kolaboratif untuk mengoptimalkan layanan siswa belajar mengenai Lesson Study. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk memberikan penguatan dan pemahaman Guru-Guru dan Kepala Sekolah di Kab. Takalar. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu; a) Observasi; b) Diskusi dan Tanya jawab; c) Tugas Mandiri/Terstruktur; d) Review Tugas; dan e) Konsultasi secara lansung dan online. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan guru dan kepala sekolah mengenai Lesson Study. Hasil tersebut terlihat dari kegiatan yang berjalan dengan baik dan kondusif serta positifnya respon peserta pelatihan terhadap angket yang diberikan dengan nilai rata-rata 3.35.

Abstract

Pembelajaran sains untuk anak usia dini penting bagi dasar pemahaman mereka terhadap fenomena alam dan proses ilmiah. Anak-anak pada tahap ini sangat responsif terhadap lingkungan sekitar, sehingga pembelajaran melalui pengalaman langsung sangat efektif. Kegiatan sains yang menyenangkan dan relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari dapat meningkatkan rasa ingin tahu dan kreativitas anak-anak.Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah melalui kegiatan percobaan sederhana. Kegiatan percobaan yang dilakukan yakni membuat air warna berjalan dan percobaan membuat lampu lava, anak-anak dapat belajar secara aktif tentang prinsip-prinsip dasar sains. Adapun pelaksanaan kegiatan ini berlangsung pada hari Jumat tanggal 9 Februari 2024 di Taman Kanak-Kanak Sipakalebbi Kabupaten Gowa.Pada kegiatan membuat air warna berjalan, air berwarna melewati tisu dan mengalir pada gelas kosong akan menghasilkan warna gabungan dari 2 warna primer atau disebut sebagai warna sekunder. Percobaan sederhana ini dapat meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif dan kreativitas anak-anak. Hal Ini penting untuk perkembangan saraf otak dan kepekaan visual mereka. Kegiatan eksperimen selanjutnya adalah percobaan membuat lampu lava yang menarik perhatian anak TK sebab percobaan ini diberikan cahaya dari lampu senter yang membuat gelembung gas semakin tampak dan terlihat semakin banyak. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir anak-anak dan memberikan edukasi tentang sains sederhana. Di akhir kegiatan, anak-anak diberi reward berupa susu dan snack agar setelah mencoba hal-hal baru, mereka diberikan kesan pembelajaran sains yang menyenangkan. Abstract

The Sejahtera Women's Farmers Group (KWT) in Kabba Village faces limitations in economic aspects, particularly in utilizing local entrepreneurship potential. The group does not yet have a well-organized productive business activity, despite the significant potential for cultivating ornamental plants such as cactus and succulents. The goal of this empowerment program is to enhance the economic capacity of KWT members through training, mentoring, and the application of technology in developing creative entrepreneurship based on cactus and succulents, thus creating an independent, competitive, and sustainable women’s business group. The solutions offered in this community service project include several interventions. In the production sector, the partners will be provided with cactus and succulent cultivation training. In business management, a simple administrative system will be introduced, covering financial record-keeping, stock management, and business planning. In the marketing aspect, the partners will be taught packaging techniques and digital marketing strategies through social media and digital platforms.
