Abstract

The availability of clean water is a vital aspect in supporting the quality of life of the community, especially in densely populated urban areas such as Medan Helvetia District. This study aims to analyze the projection of clean water needs and availability for the next 50 years, and to assess the balance between the two as a basis for planning clean water infrastructure development. The methods used include calculating domestic and non-domestic water needs, plus an estimate of 30% water loss, and analyzing needs at peak hours and maximum days. The results of the analysis show that with a fixed supply capacity of 1,100 liters per second from SPAM Mebidang, the need for clean water in Medan Helvetia District until 2075 is still in a surplus condition. The highest surplus was recorded at 795.26 liters per second in 2024, and the lowest surplus was 510.77 liters per second in 2075. These findings indicate that the district is projected not to experience a clean water deficit in the long term, as long as the supply capacity remains stable and the distribution system is managed efficiently. Therefore, periodic evaluation and integrated planning are still needed to ensure the sustainability of clean water services in the future.

Abstract

Analysis of clean water needs and availability in Medan Marelan District is needed to ensure the adequacy of SPAM services along with population growth and increasing domestic and non-domestic water consumption in the future. This study aims to identify the projection of clean water needs and availability that can be accessed by the community in Medan Marelan District over the next 10, 30, and 50 years. The analysis was conducted using a quantitative descriptive approach, utilizing secondary data sourced from relevant agencies and applying arithmetic projection methods to estimate population growth, as well as the increase in both domestic and non-domestic water demands. The calculation results show that the need for clean water in the area will increase significantly from 2024 to 2075, with a total need reaching 680.27 liters per second in 2075. However, the availability of clean water from the Mebidang Regional Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM), with a capacity of 1,100 liters per second, is estimated to still be able to meet these needs during the observed period. This surplus condition provides a strong basis for policy planning and sustainable water resource management in Medan Marelan District.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan penduduk telah menyebabkan peningkatan debit limpasan hujan dan air limbah yang dialirkan ke saluran drainase. Penelitian ini maka bertujuan mengevaluasi volume drainase di Jalan Taud, Kota Medan, apakah tetap dapat menampung air buangan hingga perkiraan 50 tahun mendatang. Saluran yang diamati mulai dari Rumah Kosan (Jalan Taud No. 112) hingga unit usaha Gulo Pangkas (Jalan Taud No. 16) dengan panjang 1.000 m. Evaluasi ini mempertimbangkan pertambahan jumlah penduduk, debit air limbah domestik, debit limpasan hujan, timbulan sedimen, serta proses evapotranspirasi sebagai bagian dari siklus air. Berdasarkan investigasi, diketahui volume drainase di Jalan Taud saat ini masih dapat melayani masyarakat hingga tahun 2047. Hasil evaluasi yang dilakukan pada saluran drainase terpilih di Jalan Taud, Kota Medan, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa drainase tetap dapat menampung air buangan dari campuran limpasan hujan dan air limbah domestik hingga 25 tahun mendatang. Intensitas curah hujan pada 10 tahun mendatang di tahun 2032 berkisar 5,87 mm/jam, 6,04 mm/jam di tahun 2047, dan 6,56 mm/jam di tahun 2072; sedangkan debit air limbah total yang dihasilkan dari aktivitas domestik adalah 10.71 x 10-2 L/orang/hari (2032), 12.24 x 10-2 L/orang/hari (2047), dan 17.24 x 10-2 L/orang/hari (2072). Dengan panjang saluran yang diamati 1.000 m, lebar saluran rata-rata adalah 0,82 m, dan kedalaman 0,90 m, didapatkan volume drainase eksisting adalah 590,4 m³. Perlu upaya pengelolaan rutin seperti pembersihan saluran dari sampah dan sedimen secara berkala, serta sosialisasi kepada masyarakat untuk menjadikan drainase tetap berfungsi sebagaimana mestinya.

Abstract

Desa Sena Kab Deli Serdang adalah desa yang berada pada jalur gempa dengan tingkat kesadaran masyarakat yang rendah dalam membangun ruman yang lebih aman dari gempa. Secara teoretis solusi yang ditawarkan adalah memberikan pelatihan berbasis heutagogy kepada masyarakat. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat dan sekaligus menguji pengaruh pelatihan berbasis heutagogy terhadap peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat dalam membangun rumah yang lebih aman dari gempa. Metode yang digunakan adalah pre-eksperimen (Pre-Experimental Design). Sampel ditentukan secara purposive sebanyak 25 orang. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa telah terjadi peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat dalam membangun rumah yang lebih aman dari gempa melalui penerapan pelatihan berbasis heutagogy pada taraf signifikansi 95%.  Rencana Tindak Lanjut dan penyebaran informasi peningkatan kesadaran kepada masyarakat luas lainnya, diharapkan aparat desa, tokoh masyarakat, dan khususnya peserta pelatihan dapat berkolaborasi menjadi agen perubahan peningkatan kesadaran masyatakat dalam membangun rumah yang lebih aman dari gempa.

Abstract

Clean water is a basic necessity crucial for life, health, and socio-economic development. In Medan Deli District, although water sources are still available, challenges arise in distribution, technical losses, and processing and management capacity. This study aims to analyze the projection of clean water needs and availability in the next 10, 30, and 50 years, taking into account population growth, service coverage, and the capacity of PDAM Tirta Deli. The methods used include literature studies, secondary data collection, and calculations of domestic and non-domestic water needs based on the Directorate General of Human Settlements standards. The projection results show an increase in population from 193,196 people (2025) to 239,426 people (2075), and an increase in total water needs from 289.57 liters/second to 358.86 liters/second, including 15% technical losses. The PDAM's installed capacity of 400 liters/second is nominally sufficient, but its effectiveness may decrease without improvements to the distribution and management system. This study recommends long-term planning, infrastructure improvements, and attention to climate change and consumption patterns to ensure the sustainability of clean water supplies in the future. Key recommendations include investment in water leakage reduction technologies and strengthening the institutional capacity of water utilities (PDAMs) to improve the efficiency of the clean water supply system.

Abstract

Digital schools are essential for new experiences in the classroom and the education system as a whole for teachers and students, with the flood of new technologies, of course, demanding changes to the way teachers teach and learn students. This research aims to describe and analyze the implementation of digital school at SMAN 1 Sukabumi. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The respondents of this study were the principal, four deputy principals, teachers and 293 students. Data collection was carried out using documentation studies, observations, and interviews. The data obtained, collected, processed, and conclusions are drawn. The results of this study are that in school planning, this program has been planned to start in 2013 but has yet to have a grand design digital school program, both short-term and long-term. The organization of the program still needs to be directed. Meanwhile, in its implementation, SMA Negeri 1 Sukabumi has gradually implemented the digitization program. However, it still needs to be completed and comprehensive. The principal has carried out an internal evaluation. However, it still needs to evaluate the digital school program. Meanwhile, external supervision has yet to be carried out either by school committees or school supervisors. The school has planned a digital school program, with the formulation of the school's vision, mission and goals that lead to the development of a digital-based school. However, there must be a clear grand design for both short-term and long-term programs.

Abstract

Amidst the rapid urbanization of Jakarta, the adoption of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) like composting offers a sustainable pathway for waste management and environmental rejuvenation. This research endeavors to discern the critical factors impacting the willingness of Jakarta's metropolitan populace to participate in composting activities. The study identified key determinants through a comprehensive analysis, including the availability of composting facilities, the expertise of trained cadres, the adoption of advanced composting technologies, and routine field monitoring. Furthermore, demographic nuances, specifically marital status, and age, surfaced as influential parameters. Singles and the younger age bracket (20-29 years) exhibited distinct attitudes towards composting, hinting at underlying generational and lifestyle-based disparities. The findings provide a foundation for tailoring policies and interventions that cater to Jakarta's unique urban fabric, promoting a more inclusive and influential composting culture.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar Ilmu Bangunan Gedung siswa kelas X program keahlian Teknik Gambar Bangunan SMK Negeri 1 Balige melalui model pembelajaran Inkuiri. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan Subjek penelitian siswa kelas X Program Keahlian Teknik Gambar Bangunan yang dilakukan pada semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Dari data observasi aktivitas siswa menunjukkan adanya peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II. yaitu pada siklus I yang mendapat nilai dalam kategori sangat aktif 8 siswa (26,67%), kategori aktif 10 siswa (33,33%), kategori cukup aktif 12 siswa (40%) dan kategori tidak aktif tidak ada(0%). Sedangkan pada siklus II yang mendapat nilai kategori sangat aktif 17 siswa (56,67%), kategori aktif 11 siswa (36,66%), kategori cukup aktif 2 siswa (6,67%) dan tidak aktif tidak ada, dan data hasil belajar siswa menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai hasil belajar siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II. Hai ini dapat dilihat pada siklus I yang mendapat nilai dalam kategori sangat kompeten tidak ada (0%), kategori kompeten 5 siswa (16,67%), kategori cukup kompeten 25 siswa (83,33%) dan kategori tidak kompeten tidak ada. Sedangkan pada siklus II yang mendapat nilai dalam kategori sangat kompeten 16 siswa (53,33%), kategori kompeten 12 siswa (40%), kategori cukup kompeten 2 siswa (6,67%). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Inkuiri dapat: Meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan hasil belajar Ilmu Bangunan Gedung siswa kelas X program keahlian Teknik Gambar Bangunan SMK Negeri 1 Balige. Abstract

SMK masih menjadi penyumbang tertinggi pengangguran dibandingkan jenjang pendidikan lainnya. Ketidakselarasan kompetensi antara lulusan SMK dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja. Revitalisasi SMK merupakan alternatif solusi untuk mengatasi kesenjangan tersebut. SMK Pusat Keunggulan adalah program nyata dari kebijakan Revitalisasi SMK. Program Keahlian Agribisnis Pengolahan Hasil Pertanian merupakan program keahlian unggulan di SMKN 1 Sei Kepayang yang mendapatkan bantuan SMK PK. Pembelajaran berbasis produk yang menyetting iklim dan budaya belajar menyerupai pabrik (Teaching Factory) dibutuhkan masyarakat menjadi tantangan bagi SMK. SMKN 1 Sei Kepayang berada di sekitar perkebunan kelapa. Ketersediaan limbah air kelapa yang tidak termanfaatkan menjadi peluang produk pembelajaran praktikum yang ekonomis dari segi biaya. Guru Produktif APHP telah beberapa kali melakukan eksperimen untuk mengolah air kelapa menjadi Nata de Coco namun belum mendapatkan hasil sesuai yang diharapkan. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan 5 Tahapan: (1) To Know, (2) To Understand, (3) To Plan, (4) To Act, (5) To Know. Hasil kegiatan pengbadian kepada masyarakat ini teciptanya Produk Nata de Coco SMKN 1 Sei Kepayang yang langsung dihasilkan oleh siswa didampingi oleh mitra industri. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini peranan mitra praktisi sangatlah dibutuhkan dalam upaya meningkatkan pembelajaran Teaching Factory.
