Abstract

Counseling on early detection of cervical cancer is an important effort to increase public awareness and knowledge, especially Women of Childbearing Age (WUS), regarding the dangers and prevention of cervical cancer. Cervical cancer is a serious health problem that is the second leading cause of death among women with cancer. Cervical cancer is dangerous because it can cause death if not detected early. This disease damages reproductive organs, reduces quality of life, and causes pain and abnormal bleeding. In addition, treatment is expensive and carries the risk of infertility as well as psychological and social impacts for sufferers. This counseling activity was held in Perbarakan Village, Dusun 1 on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 16.00 WIB and was attended by 35 participants. The material presented in the activity included the definition of cervical cancer, risk factors, signs and symptoms, the importance of early detection, prevention methods, maintaining reproductive organ hygiene, healthy sexual relations, and the importance of HPV vaccination. Before the counseling, the level of knowledge of participants regarding cervical cancer and early detection efforts was relatively low (below 50%). However, after the activity took place, there was a significant increase in knowledge (more than 80%). The success of the activity was seen from the high enthusiasm of the participants during the discussion and question and answer sessions, which created an interactive and effective learning atmosphere. With cooperation between the community, families, and health workers, it is hoped that similar activities can continue to be carried out to reduce the incidence and mortality due to cervical cancer and create a healthy and quality generation of women.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the skills of PAUD teachers and prospective teachers in managing classes to anticipate bullying behavior in PAUD institutions through the implementation of the Child Friendly Class Management Model (MKRA). This research uses quantitative descriptive methods with survey techniques for PAUD teachers and classroom action research (PTK) for prospective PAUD teachers with data collection techniques using questionnaires, tests and observations. The sample in this study was 115 teachers who taught at non-formal PAUD institutions in Pulo Gadung District and 20 prospective teachers in the PG-PAUD FIP UNJ undergraduate study program. The research results show that teachers who have the ability to manage the classroom are in the quite good category at 60.80%. Meanwhile, the teacher's ability to anticipate child bullying in the classroom is 64.30%. These results illustrate that there are still many teachers who are unable to manage the classroom to anticipate children's bullying, which is characterized by the lack of teachers in recognizing the forms and characteristics of children's bullying, as well as the learning methods used. The results of classroom action research (PTK) show an increase in the ability of prospective teachers to manage the classroom from initial conditions of 50% to 70% in cycle 1 and 95% in cycle 2, which proves that the Child-Friendly Classroom Management Model (MKRA) can help improve competency managing classes for prospective PAUD teachers.

Abstract

The formation of the professionalism of prospective Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers requires a learning approach that integrates theory and practice contextually. This study aims to evaluate practice-based learning in the Edupreneurship course as a strategy to strengthen the professionalism of prospective ECE teachers. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with an evaluative study design. Data were obtained through pre-tests, learning observations, project documents, and individual student reflections during 16 lecture meetings. The results of the study show five main transformations: (1) change in perception and increased motivation to become edupreneur, (2) strengthening practical competencies through the production of educational media, (3) mastery of digital skills, (4) increasing teamwork collaboration, and (5) resilience and problem-solving ability in facing real challenges. These findings show that education-based entrepreneurship projects not only train entrepreneurial skills, but also form the professional character of prospective early childhood education teachers who are adaptive, creative, and resilient. It is recommended that this model be systematically integrated into the early childhood education curriculum and developed in the context of cross-disciplinary learning in the future.

Abstract

Background : Daycare centers provide early childhood education from morning to evening, serving children from six weeks to school age. They are essential for working parents, offering continuous care and supervision. Many daycare centers struggle to provide effective education and care, highlighting the need for better curriculum designs. The Montessori method, known for its child-centered approach, offers a potential solution.Aim : To analyze the implementation of the Montessori method in daycare services for children aged one to three years, focusing on curriculum design, execution, and evaluation.Method : This study uses a literature review method, gathering data from primary and secondary sources. Information was collected, organized, and analyzed to understand the effectiveness of the Montessori method in daycare settings.Result : The Montessori method emphasizes child-centered learning with teachers as observers and facilitators. Key principles include a prepared environment, direct and concrete learning, respect, observation, and mixed-age groups. For children aged one to three, the curriculum focuses on five areas: eye and hand coordination, music and movement, practical life activities, arts and crafts, and language. Continuous evaluation through observation and personalized reports supports holistic child development. Conclusion : The Montessori method is effective for daycare services for children aged one to three years. It promotes child development through a structured, child-centered approach, with teachers facilitating independent learning. Abstract

Critical thinking is one of the essential skills that children must possess to face the challenges of the 21st century. However, the 2018 Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) result indicate that Indonesian children’s critical thinking skills remain low and rank below those of many other countries. One of the efforts that can be undertaken to improve this skill is the implementation of project-based learning. This literature review aims to examine and analyze the findings from recent empirical studies in the form of articles, journals and research documents regarding the impact and effectiveness of project-based learning in improving enhancing critical thinking skills among early childhood learners. The method used is qualitative descriptive, employing the Miles and Huberman model of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The articles reviewed are derived from various primary sources, including national journals published within the last five years and international journals published within the last eight years. All literature was carefully selected from various accredited, high-quality and reputable scientific databases. The review findings reveal that project-based learning is superior to conventional and other instructional models, as evidenced by improvements in children’s thinking patterns, creativity, conceptual and principled understanding, problem-solving, decision-making, and independence – all of which are integral components of critical thinking skills.

This aim of this study is to determine the pattern of the authorship and the level of collaborative research in the journal Treubia during period 2006-2016. The method used in this study is descriptive by using the data from journal article of Treubia, Research Center for Biology-Indonesian Institute of Sciences. Collection and processing data were conducted in March 2017. The results show that during the period 2006-2016, journal Treubia produced 50 articles. The most authors are male with 91 (71.1%) of the 128 authors. Furthermore, by country, Indonesia is the biggest contributor with 86 authors (67.19%) and the lowest is Australia, Singapore, and Vietnam each of them with 1 author (0.78%). The document type most highly cited is the journals which has been cited in 1,307 papers, and then newsletter and map which have been cited in 1 paper. The author's collaboration rate is 0.7 with the author's index per article is 2.56. Both of numeral rate and index are the positive criterion for assessing the higher quality of published papers.
