Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) deskripsi kecerdasan emosional dan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri di kota Parepare, dan (2) hubungan kecerdasan emosional dengan hasil belajar. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian ex-post facto. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri di kota Parepare. Data dikumpulkan melalui 230 orang sampel yang terpilih dengan menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel acak sederhana (proporsional random sampling). Data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kecerdasan emosional siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri di kota Parepare berada pada kategori sedang dan hasil belajar pada kategori tinggi, dan (2) ada hubungan linear kecerdasan emosional dengan hasil belajar.Kata kunci: Kecerdasan emosional, Hasil belajarABSTRACTThe study aimed at examining (1) describe of emotional intelligence and learning result of grade XI IPA students at SMAN in Parepare, (2) correlation between emotional intelligence and learning result. The kind of the study was ex-post facto research. The population of the study was the entire students of grade XI IPA at SMAN in Parepare. Data were collected with 230 samples taken by employing proportional random sampling technique. Data were analyzed by employing statistics descriptive and inferential analysis. The result of the study revealed that (1) emotional intelligence was in fair category and learning result was in high category, (2) there was correlation between emotional intelligence and learning result.Keywords: emotional intelligence, learning result

Abstract

The aim of this study was to know the effectiveness of WhatsApp group in creating Community of Inquiry (CoI) through blended learning in Balancing Chemical Equations. The object research was 30 students of 1 Giri senior High School. The research method used was descriptive qualitative. The success rate of CoI through blended learning can be seen from the relationship of the three elements of the CoI framework: social relations, appropriate teaching methods, and cognitive aspect. The social relations of this study were characterized by the variety of learning resources used by students in discussion forums in WhatsApp group, either of textbooks, videos, or sources from the internet. This was because students felt comfortable as evidenced by the quantity of interaction among students and the interaction of students with educators in discussion forums. The success of the teaching element was observed from the process of providing facilities and guidance. The facility for establishing CoI through blended learning in this study was accommodated by the WhatsApp group. While the guidance carried out by educators is done by explaining the learning flow and directing students to actively interact and provide reinforcement for answers. The success of the cognitive aspect was obtained from the passage of all stages of CoI in constructing the Balancing Chemical Equations material. In this study, it was known that the exploration and integration stages dominate more than the other steps. This indicated that students were able to focus themselves on questions posed by other students related to teaching materials by seeking information through various sources.

Abstract

Environmental literacy is a prominent 21st century learning theme that students need to master. However, data in the field shows the low environmental literacy of students in one of the schools in one city in Indonesia which is supported by several studies. Environmental literacy can be improved by applying the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model integrated with the STEAM approach. The research focuses on developing online learning tools with the PjBL-STEAM model on environmental materials to improve environmental literacy. The type of research used is Research and Development (RnD) research with the ADDIE development model which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The devices developed include lesson plans, LKPD, and assessment instruments. From the results of the study, valid, practical, and effective learning devices were obtained.

Abstract

Community service activities on bullying prevention and handling aim to increase awareness, understanding, and countermeasures against bullying in schools. Service activities are carried out through identification of needs, material development, implementation of counseling, and evaluation. Teachers are given training on bullying handling, effective communication strategies, conflict management, social skills development, and mental strengthening. They are also given an understanding of human rights, tolerance, empathy, and the importance of building healthy relationships in schools. The results of the service activities show an increase in teachers' awareness and understanding of bullying and the development of a safe and inclusive school environment. The collaboration of all relevant parties in dealing with bullying can create positive change, reduce bullying rates, and create a better environment for students in their learning and development process.

Abstract

Pupils' poor critical thinking abilities in the static fluid notion are the result of a learning procedure that does not actively engage pupils and does not develop their critical thinking abilities. This study tries to ascertain how students' critical thinking abilities are affected by the guided inquiry approach that is based on blended learning. In this study, 40 students from the experimental class and 40 from the control class made up the sample. study was conducted using a non-equivalent-control group study design and a quasi-experiment method. Using a critical thinking instrument with 10 questions, students' critical thinking abilities are evaluated. A sig value < 0.05 was calculated from the Mann-Whitney test results on the posttest data. This leads to the conclusion that Ha is accepted, which indicates that the guided inquiry model based on blended learning has an impact on students' critical thinking abilities. The N-Gain data demonstrate that the experimental class increased more than the control class did. 80% of student responses to the guided inquiry model based on blended learning fell into the very good category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is "To analyze the obstacles faced by science teachers in implementing the 2013 curriculum in private schools in Makassar. Data collection techniques are carried out by: (1) distribution of questionnaires, (2) interviews, (3) documentation, how to collect samples by purposive sampling techniques. While the data analysis technique used is qualitative descriptive analysis.The results showed that from the three schools where the research was located with reference to three aspects including aspects of learning planning, aspects of learning implementation, and aspects of learning evaluation, an average score of 9.75 was obtained on the planning aspect which showed the highest obstacles in the indicator of understanding and compiling the syllabus structure in the 2013 curriculum which was included in the category of many obstacles, while the lowest obstacle in the indicator determined the learning method that falls into the category of very few obstacles. This means that in this aspect of planning, teachers experience quite a lot of obstacles. In the aspect of learning implementation, the same score was obtained, which was an average of 9.75 which showed the highest obstacle on the indicator of understanding of the basic concepts of the scientific approach which was included in the category of many obstacles, while the lowest obstacle on the indicator of carrying out preliminary activities with a scientific approach, and the application of 5M in the learning process according to the scientific approach which was included in the category of very few obstacles. This means that in this aspect there are also quite a lot of obstacles, while for the learning evaluation aspect, there is a slight increase in score, which is an average of 12.77. There is an increase in scores in the aspect of learning evaluation because generally teachers still experience many obstacles in understanding the concept of authentic assessment, processing and presenting grades in the form of report cards, and conducting assessments through the realm of attitudes. This means that in this aspect of evaluation, science teachers also experience quite a lot of obstacles in implementing the 2013 curriculum.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya permasalahan rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pelajaran kimia di kelas XII MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Telaga. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran guided inquiry berbasis proyek pada materi makromolekul untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Telaga dengan sampel berjumlah masing-masing 36 orang siswa pada kelas kontrol maupun eksperimen. Teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experimental dengan Nonequivalent Pretest and Posttest Control Group Design. Instrumen tes yang digunakan yaitu tes esai sebanyak 5 butir soal yang mewakili 5 indikator berpikir kritis. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji N-Gain, uji Normalitas, uji Homogenitas, dan pengujian hipotesis (uji-t). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas eksperimen = 81,47 (sangat baik) dan untuk kelas kontrol = 67,95 (baik). Hasil analisis N-Gain (g = 0,77) menyatakan bahwa model pembelajaran Guided Inquiry berbasis proyek memiliki kriteria sedang. Hipotesis diuji menggunakan uji-t,  menunjukkan thitungttabel (57,72 1,99). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran Guided Inquiry berbasis proyek pada materi makromolekul berpendekatan SETS untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Telaga.

Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian Field Research kualitatif, yang artinya prosedur temuannya tidak diperoleh melalui data statistik atau bentuk hitungan lainnya, penelitian ini menghasilkan kata-kata tertulis atau lisan dari perilaku manusia yang diamati, penelitian ini termasuk penelitian lapangan yaitu meengumpulkan data di tempat terjadiya fenomena yang diteliti. Lokasi penelitian bertempat di Desa Rumpa, Kecamatan Mapilli, kabupaten Polewali Mandar. Sumber data penelitian ini yaitu sumber data primer dan sekunder. Metode pengumpulan data terdiri dari observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktek praktek bagi hasil ternak sapi yang masih dalam kandungan menggunkan 3 (tiga) cara yaitu bagian pertama dari ternak sapi yang melahirkan dimiliki oleh pemilik sapi (pemodal), bagian pertama ternak sapi yang melahirkan dimiliki oleh pengembala (pengelola), atau anak dari ternak sapi yang melahirkan dibagi sama rata antara kedua belah pihak. Pandangan hukum Islam tentang praktek bagi hasil ternak sapi yang masih dalam kandungan yang beralaku dikalangan masyarakat Desa Rumpa menggunakan akad mudharabah yaitu kesepakatan perjanjian antara pemilik sapi dengan pengembala sapi atas dasar suka sama suka yang sifatnya demi kebaikan bersama dan tidak merugikan salah satu pihak. Implikasi pada penelitian ini adalah menghimbau kepada masyarakat atau pelaku bagi hasil ternak sapi yang masih dalam kandungan untuk melakukan akad transaksi agar lebih jelasnya dilakukan dengan perjanjian tertulis atau dengan menghadirkan beberapa saksi sehingga kerja sama bagi hasil tersebut dapat berjalan sesuai dengan keinginan bagi kedua belah pihak yang melakukan transaksi.

Abstract

The spatial ability affects the understanding of the material that is a three-dimensional representation. This study aims to calculate the contribution of spatial ability to understanding symmetry. The research method used is correlational quantitative, with Sixty-two Chemistry Department students in the fifth semester taking chemical bonding courses. Tests of spatial intelligence and familiarity with molecular symmetry were used to compile information. The Pearson product-moment test was used to analyse the data. The results showed that students' spatial ability in the high category had a positive relationship with students' success in understanding molecular symmetry.

Abstract

In response to the growing market demand for oyster mushrooms, effective monitoring of the growth environment becomes crucial. This research aims to develop an automated Internet of Things (IoT)-based monitoring system for oyster mushroom cultivation, utilizing Wemos D1 R1 hardware, DHT22 temperature and humidity sensor, LM35 temperature sensor, and the K-Nearest Neighbour (KNN) method for data analysis. The IoT platform employed in this study is Antares. The system is designed to monitor real-time temperature and humidity within the mushroom cultivation chamber. The DHT22 sensor is employed for simultaneous measurement of air temperature and humidity, while the LM35 sensor gauges the soil temperature in the mushroom growth substrate. Data collected by these sensors are automatically transmitted to the Antares platform through Wemos D1 R1 via WiFi connectivity. The K-Nearest Neighbour (KNN) method is applied to analyze the accumulated temperature and humidity data. KNN provides the capability to identify patterns and trends in oyster mushroom growth based on environmental conditions. The results of this analysis offer valuable insights for oyster mushroom farmers to optimize growth conditions and enhance harvest yields. Through the implementation of this system, it is anticipated that efficiency and productivity in oyster mushroom cultivation will be improved. This IoT-based automated monitoring system provides an effective and practical solution for real-time monitoring of oyster mushroom growth conditions, offering farmers the opportunity to take prompt and informed actions to enhance their harvest yields.
