Abstract

Problem-based learning is a method used to solve a problem in learning. This study aimed to determine whether learning badminton service skills by applying a problem-based learning approach can improve badminton service hit skills. The research method uses the classroom action research (CAR) method by interpreting the data and comparing each cycle's results with a percentage approach to measure the achievements of the actions taken. The results obtained from the data taken before the action were 23.68% of students who mastered basic movement skills hitting badminton service. After the first cycle, 34.21% of the students mastered the material, and, at the end of the second cycle, 52.63% of the students mastered the basic movement skills of hitting badminton service. From the preliminary data, there was a significant increase in cycle I and cycle II, the conclusion is that there increased the skill of hitting badminton service through the problem based learning approach (PBL) in students of third-grade of Pagergunung elementary school 1 in 2018/2019. Increased mastery of hitting service skills badminton, which was improved through applying the problem-based approach, was 28.94%.

Abstract

The football competition period lasts 6-9 months on an annual training program. Long competitions certainly result in physical and mental fatigue in athletes. In the theory of training periodization, a period of rest after the end of the competition (transition period) gives athletes the opportunity to rest and psychic relaxation while maintaining optimal physical condition. This paper seeks to review the literature relevant to the concepts and practices in the transition period. Discussion covers two main things: the facts that occur during the transition period and exercises that athletes need to do during the transition period. The results of this discussion aim to make athletes and coaches understand the things that occur during the transition period and what exercise practices, such as what athletes need to do to prevent the potential detraining syndrome. So that in the preparation period of the new season, the athlete's performance level is in good condition.

Abstract

Shooting free throw is one of the most important techniques and often influences the final result of a match because this shot is usually a shot given as a reward for an offense. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an interaction between imagery training and self-efficacy that affects the results of shooting free throw on basketball extracurricular. This study used an experimental method with a 2x2 factorial design. The study population was basketball extracurricular participants in Bantul Regency. The instrument measured the level of efficacy using the self-confidence questionnaire and the results of the free throw shooting using the free throw throw test adopted from Arianto B. Analysis of the data in this study used an analysis of variance (ANAVA) of two paths at a significant level α = 0.05. The results of the study showed that there was no interaction between imagery training and self-efficacy in the results of shooting free throw on basketball extracurricular, seen by the value of sig = 0.835> 0.05

Abstract

The development of shotput media is one way that physical education teachers can maximize learning outcomes. The research aims to reveal the development of the results shotput modification tool and the results of the implementation effectiveness modified tool through the orthodox and Obrien styles. This research uses the development of Borg and Gall and effectiveness test research. The modified tool was assessed by material, and media experts and has been tested with the results to be presented in the sub-subexplanation explanation results and discussion. Furthermore, after the results are obtained regarding the appropriate modification tools that can be used, the effectiveness test of the two forces in the shotput is carried out. The research subjects were 30 seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 17 Sungailangka Gedong Tataan, Pesawaran Regency. Analysis data was used in this study using the Ancova test which was carried out to see the rest difference in repulsion forces. Then perform the N-Gain Test to determine the effective application of two repulsive forces. The results revealed that the modified tool developed in both learning and effectiveness tests revealed that the developed tool had a significance of 0.00 0.05. The average orthodox force n-gain test increased by 0.44 which means that the N-Gain has increased. The results of the O'Brien style N-Gain have an average of 0.19 increase in learning outcomes using tool modifications. Based on the results, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect in the use of tool modifications on the ability to put down and place bullets using Orthodox and O'brien styles.

Abstract

Endurance and speed are important components in supporting the success of futsal athletes. To increase this ability, many things can be done, one of which is to provide caffeine before exercising for maximum results. This study aims to determine the effect of caffeine on the endurance and speed of futsal athletes in Mataram. The research used is the type of experiment. In this study, the instrument for measuring endurance is the bleep test, while the speed is measured using the 100-meter sprint. This study is a population study because all populations are the research sample. The entire population is used in this study because all 16 samples are national athletes in the Vamos Mataram futsal group, and the research focuses on that one elite club. Data analysis was carried out using ANOVA with the help of SPSS. Based on the results of the data analysis of the futsal athletes of Vamos FC Mataram with the administration of caffeine, the significance value for endurance was 0.000 and the significance value for speed was 0.038. Based on the results of the significance test for the two variables having a value lower than 0.05, the data stated that there was an impact caused by caffeine administration to increase endurance and speed. The research has limitations, namely only focusing on one elite futsal club, namely Vamos Mataram, but the results are expected to be able to refer to the use of caffeine in an exercise program to be able to improve endurance and speed. Further research is expected to be able to cover more than one club as well as the addition of variables.

Abstract

Sleep quality and anxiety are closely related. Those who have difficulty sleeping often have problems with anxiety, and vice versa, those who have difficulty often experience problems sleeping. Sleep quality has a significant effect on anxiety and is influenced by, among others, the type of work, physical activity, physical exercise, and sports. This study aims to determine the relationship between exercise body performance, sleep quality, and anxiety. This research is descriptive research with a survey method. Using purposive sampling with certain criteria. Participants are members of Studio Primadonna. Instruments with online questionnaires: the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) for sleep quality and the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 questionnaire were used to assess anxiety. Statistical analysis using chi-square. The survey results show that on average Primadonna studio members have quite good sleep quality, as evidenced by PSQI data 16 people (80%) have quite good sleep quality and have minimal anxiety, as evidenced by the results of GAD-7 data as many as 10 people (50%) ) has a minimal anxiety category. Subjects in the moderately good category on average had minimal anxiety and exercised 5 times a week, while subjects in the moderately poor category on average had mild anxiety and exercised 3 times a week It can be concluded that body performance exercise has a good influence on the sleep quality and anxiety of body performance exercise members at Studio Primadonna. The more often and consistently participants do body performance exercises, the anxiety decreases and the quality of sleep improves. Conversely, the less often you exercise, anxiety increases and sleep quality worsens. Future research is expected to be able to link sleep quality, anxiety, and other relevant variables, with varying subjects and views from various perspectives.
