Abstract

Learning carried out through limited face-to-face learning during the Covid-19 pandemic has been determined according to government regulations to increase the effectiveness of student learning in physical education learning. The purpose of this study was to find out how the implementation of physical education learning during the Limited Face To Face Physical Education (PTMT) period in the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The instrument was used through a questionnaire distributed to the sample, namely physical education teachers at SMPN Metro Lampung, totalling 26. The sample selection of the research was purposive technique because the sample was selected from schools that had already implemented limited face to face in physical education learning. The validity of the instrument with a validity value of 0.693, then the reliability value in this study was 0.935. The study results revealed that if the teaching hours applied by limited face to face physical education have reduced teaching hours. Then for infrastructure, indicators and learning applications are included in the sufficient category, and the best learning model used in limited face to face is individual learning. The results are expected to become a reference for the application of limited face to face physical education so that the results obtained are maximal.

Abstract

Without motivation, an athlete will not feel motivated to perform optimally and will be desperate if he fails. The research was conducted to present a motivational relationship between coaches and athletes that describes how coaches can influence athlete motivation. The study was conducted on 62 taekwondo athletes. The instruments to collect data were a motivation scale with 27 items (? = 0.912) and the (CART-Q) Coach-Athlete Relationship Questionnaire with 22 items (? = 0,948). The data analyzed was assisted by the SPSS for Windows version 25. The results obtained from the calculation of the product-moment correlation were the r-value was 0.471, and the r2 value was 0.222, with p lower than 0.001. Thus, there was a relationship between coach-athlete relationship and performance motivation. The psychological processes in which constructive behavior positively influences intrinsic and extrinsic motivations were self-determined by athletes.

Abstract

Background: Emotional management is a key psychological factor influencing futsal performance, but available measurement instruments are still general in nature, lack sport-specific validation, and have not been tested on Indonesian futsal athletes. Aims: This study seeks to rigorously validate and confirm the factor structure of an emotional management instrument designed explicitly for Indonesian futsal athletes, thereby strengthening its scientific and contextual relevance calculations with CFA. Methods:  Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) was performed on data from 438 athletes recruited through incidental sampling across multiple regions in Indonesia. The emotional management instrument comprised 23 items that had previously undergone rigorous content validation by experts, including psychologists, national-level futsal coaches, and sport science academics. Model fit indices, convergent validity, and internal consistency reliability were systematically evaluated to ensure the robustness of the measurement model. Results: The five-factor model demonstrated excellent fit to the data (e.g., CFI > .95, TLI > .95, RMSEA < .06, SRMR < .08). All factors had AVEs above 0.50, indicating strong convergent validity. Reliability indices were high, with McDonald's ω and Cronbach's α exceeding .70 for all factors. Conclusion: The results indicate that the emotional management instrument demonstrates satisfactory validity, reliability, and structural integrity for application among Indonesian futsal athletes, thereby providing a robust framework for psychological assessment and supporting future research, talent development, and mental training programs.

Abstract

Background: Shooting accuracy is critical for basketball players to be able to score as many points as possible and outperform opponents. While it is critical to have the ability to score, female players in Palembang City tended to preserve their incorrect shooting form, which led to the inconsistency of their shooting accuracy. Research Objectives: This study aims to analyse the comparison between the effect of personalised and group repetition training on shooting accuracy and consistency for female basketball players. Methods: This study uses a pretest-posttest control group design, using SPSS v26 to generate the tabulation and statistical analysis. A total of 30 female basketball players aged 17-21 (19.14±1.18) were selected as the research sample. Participants were divided into two groups using ordinal pairing based on the results of the pretest from various competitive levels and participated in a 12-week training program tailored to their shooting mechanics and performance metrics. Finding and Results: Results indicated that the experimental group significantly improved shooting accuracy and consistency compared to the control group. The personalised training approach addressed individual biomechanical flaws and optimised shooting techniques, enhancing performance, which was shown in the average value of the experiment group that was higher than the control group. Additionally, players reported gaining more confidence and motivation due to the tailored nature of the training. Conclusion: This study highlights the potential of personalised training programmes in sports, emphasising the need for individualised approaches to optimise athlete performance. Further research is recommended to explore long-term effects and applicability across different sports skills and levels.
