Abstract

This study examines the influence of micro-influencers on impulsive buying behavior of Skintific skincare products on TikTok Shop, with Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) as a mediating variable among Generation Z students in Makassar. The study is motivated by the increasing use of micro-influencers in digital marketing and the tendency of Generation Z to make impulsive purchases after exposure to social media content. This study employs a quantitative approach using a survey method through questionnaires. The population consists of Generation Z university students in Makassar who actively use TikTok and have purchased Skintific products through TikTok Shop. A total of 130 respondents were selected using random sampling techniques. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) with SmartPLS 3.2.9. The results show that micro-influencers do not have a significant direct effect on impulsive buying. However, micro-influencers have a positive and significant effect on FOMO, which also has a positive and significant effect on impulsive buying. In addition, micro-influencers indirectly influence impulsive buying through FOMO. These findings indicate that feelings of missing out on trends or information triggered by micro-influencer content play an important role in driving impulsive buying behavior among Generation Z. This study highlights the importance of emotional factors, particularly FOMO, in enhancing the effectiveness of influencer-based digital marketing strategies.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence, or AI, has emerged as a disruptive force in the digital marketing landscape, fundamentally altering how organizations interact with consumers. This literature study systematically evaluates the role of AI in digital marketing by synthesizing research published between 2020 and 2026. The study focuses on the transition from traditional rule-based systems to autonomous, generative, and predictive models. Key findings indicate that AI enhances marketing performance through hyper-personalization, automated content generation, and sophisticated predictive analytics. However, the study also identifies significant gaps in ethical frameworks and data privacy governance. The paper concludes by proposing a symbiotic model where AI-driven efficiency is balanced by human-centric strategic oversight.

Abstract

The Umrah travel industry in Indonesia, particularly in Makassar, is experiencing rapid growth but faces challenges such as intense competition, fraud issues, and increasing consumer demands for service quality. In this context, customer trust and customer experience are crucial factors in building Umrah pilgrim loyalty. This study aims to analyze the influence of customer trust and customer experience on loyalty through customer satisfaction as a mediating variable among pilgrims at PT Arrafsyah Safari Haramain in Makassar. The research method employed a quantitative approach with survey techniques and data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results show that customer experience significantly influences pilgrim satisfaction and loyalty, while customer trust has no significant effect on satisfaction but a positive effect on loyalty. Furthermore, satisfaction has been shown to play a significant role as a mediator in the relationship between customer experience and loyalty. These findings emphasize that Umrah travel agencies need to prioritize improving the overall customer experience, while maintaining trust, to build long-term pilgrim loyalty.

Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the effect of Online Customer Reviews (OCRs) on repurchase intention and the mediating role of customer satisfaction among fast-food consumers in Makassar. Research Methodology: A quantitative, explanatory, and single cross-sectional survey was conducted involving 110 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling with SmartPLS. The analysis assessed the measurement model, structural model, direct effects, and the specific indirect effect. Results: OCRs had positive and significant effects on repurchase intention ((\beta=0.459\ p<0.001)) and customer satisfaction ((\beta=0.548\ p<0.001)). Customer satisfaction also positively influenced repurchase intention ((\beta=0.480\ p<0.001)). The indirect effect of OCRs on repurchase intention through customer satisfaction was significant ((\beta=0.263\ p<0.001)), indicating complementary partial mediation. Customer satisfaction accounted for 36.43% of the total effect, while OCRs and customer satisfaction jointly explained 68.2% of the variance in repurchase intention. Conclusions: Credible and relevant OCRs strengthen repurchase intention both directly and indirectly by shaping customer satisfaction. Repeat purchasing therefore depends on the consistency between expectations formed through digital reviews and the actual food and service experience. Limitations: The study was limited to fast-food consumers in Makassar and employed purposive sampling and a cross-sectional design, restricting broader generalization and causal inference. Contributions: The study integrates e-WOM theory, Expectancy-Disconfirmation Theory, and the Stimulus-Organism-Response model to explain how online reviews influence repurchase intention through customer satisfaction, while providing practical insights for review management and service improvement.

Abstract

Abstract: This study critically examines the ideological dimensions of the Wonderful Indonesia campaign as a contemporary manifestation of soft propaganda within the practices of nation branding and tourism marketing. Framed through the lens of Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) based on Fairclough’s three-dimensional model, this research investigates how visual, linguistic, and symbolic representations operate as instruments of persuasion that construct Indonesia’s national identity within the global tourism arena. Data were collected through multimodal analysis of official campaign materials distributed across digital platforms, including the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy’s website, YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, supported by secondary documents and scholarly sources. The findings reveal that Wonderful Indonesia integrates aesthetic visuals, emotional narratives, and cultural symbolism to portray Indonesia as a harmonious, inclusive, and exotic nation while subtly reinforcing neoliberal and nationalistic ideologies. The campaign functions not only as a promotional initiative but also as a mechanism of symbolic governance where marketing, diplomacy, and ideology converge under the logic of digital capitalism. Furthermore, the study identifies the emergence of participatory propaganda in the digital era, wherein audiences contribute to reproducing state narratives through social media engagement mediated by algorithmic visibility. Theoretically, this study contributes to the critical understanding of nation branding as an ideologically charged practice that negotiates power among the state, market, and media. Practically, it underscores the importance of adopting ethical, reflective, and inclusive communication strategies in national branding ones that balance aesthetic appeal with narrative authenticity and social responsibility. Keywords: Nation Branding, Soft Propaganda, Critical Discourse Analysis, Tourism Marketing, Wonderful Indonesia

Abstract

Indonesia in 1997-1998. The main factor that caused the crisis was the government's widening of the economy, in which the government made concessions to borrow debt without strict supervision and selection. As a result, many businessmen were unable to pay their debts on time, so that Indonesia's reputation declined internationally. Islamic ethics is a branch of philosophy that is critical and rational which investigates good and bad and human obligations. Islam as a comprehensive and universal religion regulates all aspects of human life including in the field of trade or commerce business. In the field of worship, Islam stipulates the law "there is no worship except what is regulated in the Al-Quran and Sunnah" while for jnn muamalah activities it only regulates the principles. Business Ethics in an Islamic perspective focuses on principles that do not conflict with the Al-Quran and Sunnah and provide justice and benefit for all parties involved in the business process
