Abstract

The development of beef cattle farms can be done through an integrated system and the involvement of family labor. The objective of this study is to know the family labor productivity in the integrated Bali cattle business and palm oil plantations in Wiwirano District, North Konawe Regency. The research material is breeders in the District of Wiwirano who carry out the integration efforts of Bali cattle and palm oil, As many as 4 villages in Wiwirano district, that integrated the Bali cattle and oil palm were determined by stratified sampling. 60 respondents from 4 villages were selected using simple random sampling. The average allocation of family labor in the Bali cattle business reaches 5,635 hours/day or 0,653 HOK/day. While the allocation of family labor in the palm oil business reaches 10,121 hours/day or 1,151 HOK. The technical productivity of the Bali cattle business is 4,72 ST/HOK and economic productivity is Rp 83.983,43/HOK. While the technical productivity of the oil palm plantation business is 133,69 kg/HOK and economic productivity is Rp 120.772,75/HOK.Keywords: Labor, Bali Cattle, Palm Oil.

Abstract

Research has been conducted in Landono and Mowila Subdistricts of South Konawe Regency in October-December 2020. The subjects of the study were ranchers and beef cattle traders. Location determination is done intentionally (purposive sampling) while farmers who become respondents are taken as many as 60 people, consisting of 30 respondents each sub-district, which is determined randomly simple (simple random sampling). Research variables are characteristics of respondents including age, education, business experience, number of family members, channels and marketing institutions, margins, costs and profits between marketing agencies. The results showed marketing channels, namely, Farmers→The Final Consumer (Channel I), Farmers → End Consumer → Collectors (Channel II), Farmers → Large Traders→ End Consumers (Channel III), Farmers→ Collector Traders→ Large Traders→The Final Consumer (Channel IV). Marketing margin on channel III (Rp 1,088,571/tail) and channel IV (Rp 1,088,571/tail), lowest on channel II (Rp 765,556/tail). The institutions that get the highest profit are large traders (Rp 998,571/tail), the lowest collector traders (Rp 575,556/tail).

Abstract

Tinanggea and Palangga subdistricts of South Konawe Regency have many cattle farmers and relatively more populations than other livestock. The research aims to find out the motivation of farmers in raising bali cattle in Tinanggea and Palangga subdistricts in June - July 2020. Furthermore, the data obtained is analyzed using The Likert scale and explained derpively. The results showed a strong reason farmers keep Balinese cattle because of economic motivation (68.8%), entertainment motivation (56%), environmental motivation (36%), and (4) social status motivation (22%).

Abstract

The research aims to describe the household loss of food crops, farms, and plantations as well as the welfare of farmers' households in North Kolaka Regency in January-March 2021 referring to national indicators or provisions in the processing of agricultural survey results (ST) that have been conducted by national official institutions, namely the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Southeast Sulawesi in 2013 (ST2013) and the results of the Inter-Census middle Survey 2018. The results of the analysis of household income and welfare of agricultural households in North Kolaka Regency showed that food crops in the form of rice 39.36, crops 226.71, farms 12.99, plantations -0.31, and farmers welfare level 6.22. Abstract

Improving the management of coastal areas and small islands needs to have the support of the State of Indonesia as the world's maritime axis area because it has abundant fisheries and marine wealth. The study was conducted in Muna Regency in April-June 2021 with the determination of the location of purposive sampling in the archipelago. Research uses qualitative and quantitative approaches with data collection methods including observations, interviews and document studies using SWOT analysis. The results of the study showed the Muna Regency government in improving the management of coastal areas and small islands provides convenience and support both namely financial access, coaching, counseling and assistance for fishing communities.

Abstract

Abstract The best known broiler chicken meat product in urban communities is Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC). Seeing the business opportunity, entrepreneurs in Kendari City tried to make fried chicken similar to KFC products by labeling Kendari Fried Chicken (Kendari-FC) at a relatively affordable price of Rp 8.000 per piece compared to the KFC price of Rp 15.000 per piece. This study aims to analyze the marketing prospects of Kendari-FC entrepreneurs in Kendari City. The location of the research was determined purposively with the respondents of the study being kendari-FC entrepreneurs in kendari city who were determined by census. The results showed that the income of Kendari-FC entrepreneurs in Kendari City averaged Rp 5.066.458 per month or Rp 168.882 per day with an average income of Rp 36.276 per head. Kendari-FC's marketing prospects have the potential to be developed especially in West Kendari District because the average revenue from sales of each tail is Rp 48.105.40 per head.
