Abstract

Kondisi Ibukota dengan pertambahan jumlah kendaraan di Jakarta yang terus meningkat tiap tahunnya tentu menjadi masalah bagi pemangku kebijakan, terlebih polusi udara yang dihadapi Ibukota Jakarta sebagai akibat pertumbuhan kendaraan yang terus meningkat tanpa adanya penambahan area jalan. Solusi yang diusulkan adalah penggunaan kapal udara hybrid sebagai moda transportasi massal. Penelitian dilakukan melalui studi literatur dan analitik pengolahan data. Kapal Udara hybrid yang dirancang yakni Kapal Udara UNHAN RI yang memiliki tujuan untuk menghubungkan Jakarta dan Bogor dengan menggunakan 12 stasiun Kereta Commuter Line. Desain mobilitas Kapal Udara UNHAN RI ini mempertimbangkan faktor aerostatis, gaya hambat, pengelolaan, gaya dinamis, rute atau pemetaan, ground handling, tambatan, serta kemampuan kapal udara. Kapal udara Unhan RI dioperasikan dengan kecepatan maksimum 130 km/jam dan ketinggian maksimum 2000 kaki. Hasil penelitian ini akan menjadi acuan dan referensi untuk keamanan dan optimalisasi mobilitas Kapal Udara UNHAN RI di masa depan. Penekanan diberikan pada faktor-faktor keamanan dan upaya untuk meminimalkan kemacetan dan polusi udara di Ibukota. Dengan demikian, kapal udara hybrid ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam mengatasi tantangan transportasi di Jakarta.

Abstract

Penggunaan nanomaterial dalam teknologi pertahanan negara menawarkan peluang besar bagi Indonesia sebagai negara kepulauan dengan populasi besar dan wilayah luas. Keunggulan nanomaterial, seperti berat ringan dan kekuatan tinggi, sensorik sensitif, dan efisiensi konversi energi, dapat meningkatkan efektivitas pertahanan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi literatur untuk mengeksplorasi penggunaan nanomaterial dalam berbagai bidang pertahanan, termasuk alat pelindung diri, sistem sensor dan deteksi, material amunisi, serta pelapis dan pelindung kapal. Namun, pengembangan nanomaterial juga dihadapkan pada tantangan, seperti masalah keamanan, regulasi, dampak lingkungan, dan kerjasama antarlembaga. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi yang tepat, termasuk penelitian komprehensif, regulasi yang jelas, mitigasi dampak lingkungan, dan kolaborasi yang kuat, untuk memastikan penggunaan nanomaterial yang aman dan berkelanjutan. Dengan demikian, Indonesia dapat meningkatkan daya saing industri pertahanan, memperkuat kemampuan pertahanan, dan menjaga kedaulatan serta keamanan negara di tengah perkembangan teknologi yang cepat.

Abstract

Seawater temperature ranges from -2 0 c to 300 c. Low temperatures are usually found in seawater around the poles and on the deep seabed. Meanwhile, high seawater temperatures are found in the sea in the Arid area. The Red Sea and Bab El Mandeb have temperatures of about 290 c to 300. Corrosion is a subject matter that concerns various disciplines, or in other words, it connects elements of physics, chemistry, metallurgy, electronics and engineering. This study uses the literature review study method to collect, identify, evaluate the effect of seawater content on the corrosion of the hulls of warships made by PT Pal Indonesia. An effective corrosion control strategy should be selected with the selection of suitable coatings for the marine environment. Hull plating with paint has a special function to protect the construction of the hull, especially those located below the waterline and the construction of the ship above the waterline.

Abstract

The turbine exhaust system is a critical component in maintaining the structural integrity and airworthiness of turbofan-powered transport aircraft on CFM56-7B engines, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2025-04-03, requiring the modification of the engine primary exhaust nozzle to prevent potential separation and structural damage to the fuselage. This study evaluates the implementation of the directive in the Sriwijaya Air fleet under the scope of Boeing Special Attention Requirements Bulletin 737-78-1106 RB Revision 1. The research method combines airworthiness compliance analysis, engineering inspection, and procedural verification using the Accomplishment Instructions defined in EO M-78-003. The modification involved the installation of TOP KIT 002A0123-1 for Off-Wing Rework Kit and 002A0123-2 for On-Wing Installation Kit, the replacement of affected part numbers 314A2610-1, -62, -68, and incorporation of Airworthiness Limitations (AWLs) Nos. 2, 3, and 4 into the operator’s maintenance program. The results confirm that the affected aircraft—registrations PK-CRI, PK-CRA, PK-CRE, and PK-CRH—belong to Group 1 configuration and require mandatory action within 90 days after the AD effective date April 8, 2025, and must be inspection completed before July 31, 2028.

Abstract

Kebutuhan akan material pelindung dengan rasio kekuatan terhadap berat yang tinggi semakin meningkat seiring dengan tuntutan mobilitas dan efisiensi sistem pertahanan modern. High Entropy Alloys (HEAs), sebagai kelas material logam multikomponen berbasis multi-principal elements, menawarkan pendekatan nonkonvensional dalam desain paduan yang berpotensi melampaui performa baja armor konvensional. Studi ini meninjau secara komprehensif perkembangan terbaru mengenai sifat mekanik, perilaku deformasi dinamis, dan ketahanan benturan balistik dari berbagai sistem HEAs. Melalui pendekatan systematic literature review, artikel ini mengidentifikasi empat efek inti HEAs seperti entropi tinggi, distorsi kisi, difusi lambat, dan efek koktail sebagai faktor fundamental yang menghasilkan kombinasi luar biasa antara kekuatan, keuletan, dan ketangguhan. Dibandingkan dengan lapis baja seperti Ramor 550 dan Armox 500T yang memiliki kekuatan spesifik (specific strength) 159–208 MPa·g/cm³, beberapa HEAs (misalnya AlCuFeMnMgTi) menunjukkan nilai hingga 500 MPa·g/cm³ dengan kekerasan mencapai 770 HV. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa HEAs mampu mencapai efisiensi struktural dan ketahanan deformasi lebih tinggi pada densitas yang lebih rendah, menjadikannya kandidat unggul untuk aplikasi armor ringan berperforma tinggi. Tantangan utama yang diidentifikasi meliputi optimasi komposisi, kontrol mikrostruktur selama pemrosesan, serta isu biaya dan skalabilitas manufaktur. Kajian ini menegaskan bahwa dengan integrasi antara desain berbasis komputasi, powder metallurgy, dan arsitektur material berlapis atau hibrida, HEAs berpotensi menjadi material strategis dalam pengembangan lapis baja generasi mendatang yang ringan, tangguh, dan adaptif terhadap ancaman balistik modern.

Abstract

Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have demonstrated remarkable power conversion efficiencies (PCEs), yet their path to commercialization is critically hindered by significant non-radiative recombination losses and long-term operational instability. These degradation pathways and efficiency losses are predominantly located at the interfaces between the perovskite absorber and the charge transport layers (ETL and HTM). The state-of-the-art often relies on high-temperature processed TiO₂ as the ETL and the expensive, hygroscopic dopant-reliant Spiro-OMeTAD as the HTM, which themselves are primary sources of instability. The research gap is the urgent need for stable, low-cost, and particularly dopant-free interfacial materials that can be processed at low temperatures. This literature review synthesizes and analyzes recent progress in interface engineering, focusing on low-temperature ETL alternatives (e.g., fullerene derivatives and ZnO) and the development of high-performance dopant-free HTMs. We conclude that replacing the problematic Spiro-OMeTAD with stable, dopant-free alternatives, such as the polymer P3HT or robust inorganic materials like NiOₓ and CuGaO₂, is the most critical and effective strategy for realizing efficient, stable, and commercially viable perovskite photovoltaics.

So far, different types of solar light simulators have been developed, including halogen, xenon and LED lamps, each possessing advantages and disadvantages in terms of light spectrum, intensity, stability, and energy efficiency. However, there is no systematic comparative assessment of how each method simulates the photon spectrum of sunlight and its stability, and this has made it challenging for the scientific community to select the most suitable method. This study introduces a research deficit by directly comparing the spectrum accuracy, intensity stability, and sensitivity to environmental factors for each type of sunlight simulator. To overcome this gap, the objective in this study is to analyze and compare the performance of halogen, xenon, and LED simulators for identifying the most effective method for testing the electrical characteristics of PV modules inside the laboratory.

Abstract

Metal Matrix Composites (MMCs) have become a major focus in materials research due to their ability to combine the superior properties of metals and non-metallic reinforcements. This review article focuses on a comparative analysis of two key literatures, "Recent Advances in Fabrication of Metal Matrix Composites: A Systematic Review" and "Metal Matrix Composites," which represent perspectives on fabrication technique innovation and fundamental understanding of material properties. A literature search conducted through Scopus and Google Scholar using the keywords "metal matrix composites," "fabrication techniques," and "material applications" for the period 2015–2025 yielded relevant articles as supporting literature. The analysis shows that key advances in the past decade include the development of powder metallurgy, stir casting, and additive manufacturing methods, which have significantly impacted the mechanical strength, wear resistance, and thermal stability of MMCs. Meanwhile, the fundamental literature provides a strong theoretical foundation for selecting matrices and reinforcements for specific applications. The results of this review confirm that integrating knowledge from these two main areas, enriched with supporting literature, can accelerate innovation and optimization of MMC applications across various industrial sectors.

Abstract

Aluminum-silicon alloy and silicon carbide (SiC) are materials known for their high thermal resistance and mechanical strength; however, their brittleness limits their use in mechanical structures, particularly for coating components that require abrasion resistance. Equal Channel Angular Pressing (ECAP), commonly applied to metals, is a plastic deformation technique with the potential to enhance the mechanical properties of brittle materials. While ECAP has proven effective in improving the hardness and microstructure of metals, its application to ceramic materials like SiC remains underexplored, especially for abrasion-resistant coatings. This study aims to analyze and compare the effects of ECAP on the hardness and microstructure of aluminum-silicon alloy and SiC annealed at 300°C, to evaluate their potential as abrasion-resistant coatings. The research methodology includes sample heating to 300°C, ECAP processing with a 120° die, Brinell hardness testing, and microstructure analysis using electron microscopy. The results of this study are expected to provide insight into the effectiveness of ECAP in enhancing the mechanical performance of these materials, expanding their potential for applications in abrasion-resistant coatings.

Abstract

This research focuses on a literature review regarding radar wave absorbing materials or Radar Absorbing Material (RAM) that uses Fe₃O₄-based composites with three main matrices, namely reduced graphene oxide (rGO), MXene, and carbon nanotubes (CNT). This topic is important because the ability of a defense system, whether air, sea, or land, in reducing radar detection is greatly influenced by the effectiveness of electromagnetic wave absorbing materials. Fe₃O₄ materials are known to have strong magnetic properties, while rGO, MXene, and CNT function as conductive materials that can increase absorption through dielectric loss and impedance matching mechanisms. By understanding the comparative characteristics of the three, it is hoped that it will be possible to determine which material is the most effective and stable for use in stealth applications in defense environments.
