Abstract

Abstract: Threats related to fire hazard can certainly result in big things. For this reason, it is necessary to have countermeasures or prevention before the incident occurs. Fire extinguishers both at home and in the work area are very necessary as a way of anticipating a fire. Fire extinguishers used in buildings will go through a periodic inspection and payment process. Currently, the process of renting and paying fire extinguisher fees is still manual, starting from the time people come to the Fire Service Office to either rent equipment or pay annual fees. This is less effective in terms of time and cost both from the side of the community and the Fire Department. For this reason, the authors created an information system for fire extinguisher fees that can assist the public in the process of ordering, renting, and paying annual fees. In this system, the fire department can see the ongoing transaction process and schedule equipment installation according to the needs of the fire department itself. The system is made based on mobile, web API, programming language PHP, Java, and MySql database. Keywords: Information System, Fire Extinguisher Retribution, Mobile Abstrak: Ancaman terkait bahaya kebakaran tentunya dapat mengakibatkan hal besar. Untuk itu, perlu adanya penanggulangan atau pencegahan sebelum kejadian terjadi. Persediaan alat pemadam kebakaran baik di rumah maupun di area pekerjaan sangat perlu sebagai cara mengantisipasi apabila terjadi kebakaran. Alat pemadam kebakaran yang digunakan pada bangunan akan melalui proses pemeriksaan dan pembayaran berkala. Saat ini proses penyewaan dan pembayaran retribusi alat pemadam kebakaran masih manual, mulai dari masyarakat datang ke Kantor Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran baik untuk melakukan penyewaan alat maupun pembayaran retribusi tahunan. Hal ini kurang efektif dari segi waktu dan biaya baik dari sisi masyarakat maupun pihak Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran. Untuk itu, penulis membuat sistem informasi retribusi alat pemadam kebakaran yang dapat membantu masyarakat dalam proses pemesanan, penyewaan, dan pembayaran retribusi tahunan. Pada sistem ini, pihak pemadam dapat melihat proses transaksi yang berjalan dan menepatkan jadwal pemasangan alat sesuai dengan kebutuhan dari pihak pemadam kebakaran sendiri. Abstract

The management of the final project at the Faculty of Science and Technology, State Islamic University of North Sumatra has not been fully supported by an application system. The head of the study program faces difficulties in preparing the final project management report, which has an impact on the less than optimal process of monitoring the final project by students and supervisors. Supervisors experience limitations in monitoring the development of their students optimally, especially because of the large number of students and the variety of problems that arise. The consultation function becomes less effective. In addition, the delivery of information related to the final project to students, lecturers, and the head of the study program is often hampered, while physical files are vulnerable to being tucked away or manipulated. Students also have to come directly to campus to take the supervisor's assignment letter, submit documents, follow the guidance, and check the seminar and trial schedule. To overcome this problem, this research aims to build a web-based final project monitoring information system at the Faculty of Science and Technology, State Islamic University of North Sumatra. The research was conducted using the Research and Development (R&D) method with a Waterfall system development approach. The result of this research is a web-based SIMTA (Final Project Monitoring Information System) developed using the Laravel framework. SIMTA is expected to facilitate the process of completing the final project, increase the effectiveness and efficiency of interaction between students, lecturers, and study programs.

Abstract

In the digital era, e-books have become a popular choice due to their high accessibility and portability. However, many users face challenges in finding book-reading applications that align with their preferences. To address this issue, this study developed BookMap, an Android-based book reading application equipped with features such as bookmarking, night mode, text search, and book collection management. The application was developed using the waterfall method, which includes stages of requirement analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The Kodular platform was utilized to streamline the application development process without requiring extensive technical programming knowledge. The results show that BookMap provides a comfortable and flexible reading experience, supported by personalization features such as digital bookshelf organization and night mode. Black box testing confirmed that all features functioned as intended. This application not only facilitates access to digital literature but also contributes to promoting reading interest and digital literacy in society. With its various advantages, BookMap is expected to serve as an innovative solution to support modern reading needs anytime and anywhere.

Abstract

This research aims to design and develop a web-based financial management application for Pabrik Opak Sun Jaya Mandiri, focusing on financial management. Prior to the application’s development, the business used a manual financial management system, which led to various issues, such as unstructured transaction records, difficulties in monitoring cash flow in real-time, and slow financial reporting prone to human errors. These problems could hinder the business owner from making accurate financial and operational decisions.To address these issues, the application was developed using the PHP programming language and MySQL database, designed to automate the recording of rental transactions, income, and expenses in an integrated manner. The application includes features for automatic and real-time financial reporting, enabling the business owner to monitor financial conditions more accurately and efficiently. Additionally, it implements a Business Intelligence (BI) approach, providing analysis of financial data, including income and expense trends, as well as business performance over time.The research results indicate that the application effectively resolves the issues present in the previous financial management system, particularly in terms of efficiency, recording accuracy, and faster, more detailed data presentation. The business owner can better monitor financial developments, and employees find it easier to perform tasks such as report preparation and transaction recording. Continuous evaluation and feature updates are highly recommended to ensure the application evolves in line with the increasingly complex needs of the business. Therefore, this application is expected to have a long-term positive impact on the financial management of Pabrik Opak Sun Jaya Mandiri.

Abstract

The waste problem in urban areas, such as Belawan, Medan, is exacerbated by population growth and inadequate waste management systems, resulting in environmental degradation. To address this issue, "Angkut's," an Android-based waste transportation application, has been developed. The system aims to optimize waste management through the use of digital technology, allowing users to schedule and monitor waste collection efficiently. This application addresses inefficiencies in the existing waste transportation system by incorporating features like real-time order tracking and notifications for both users and administrators. The prototype for Angkut's was developed using prototyping methodology, which includes stages such as communication, quick planning, quick design modeling, prototype construction, and deployment feedback. The application includes various user-friendly interfaces, such as a splash screen, login, home, and order management pages. Administrators can monitor order statuses and provide updates on waste collection. The system also promotes community empowerment in waste management by using a structured approach to managing inorganic waste. After development, the prototype underwent testing to evaluate user responses and functionality. This application is expected to improve waste transportation efficiency, benefiting both the community and local governments.

Abstract

In this modern era, technology is increasingly sophisticated and developing, which can be used to facilitate various learning activities. However, there are several obstacles faced by a person who is in the process of memorizing the Qur'an. One of the problems is not often repeating verses that are being or have been memorized. The purpose of this research is to build a Tikrar Method Learning application that can be used to learn materials about the tikrar memorization method through the features and menus contained in the application. The app can also help in testing memorization with a memorization testing feature that utilizes Google Speech API technology. The type of approach used in this study is a qualitative approach consisting of observation, interviews, and literature studies. And the system development method used is the prototyping method. The software used in building the application consists of the codeular framework, google sheets and google script. The result of this research is an application that applies the tikrar method feature in memorizing the Quran along with the memorization testing feature by applying Google Speech API to the application. The advantage of the tikrar method feature in the application is that it can display notifications regarding whether the verses being memorized can be deposited or not and display notifications regarding whether the verses tested through the application already have the correct tajweed or not based on the readings spoken by the user.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun aplikasi rental mobil berbasis Android guna mempermudah pengguna dalam melakukan pemesanan dan pengelolaan rental mobil. Aplikasi ini dirancang dengan menggunakan metode pengembangan perangkat lunak berbasis model waterfall, yang mencakup tahap analisis, desain, implementasi, dan pengujian. Fitur utama aplikasi mencakup pendaftaran pengguna, pemesanan mobil, pembayaran, serta pengelolaan data kendaraan dan transaksi. Dengan menggunakan metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode Visual Basic. dimana tujuan dari metode Visual Basic ini adalah untuk mempermudah pekerjaan dealer yaitu membantu mencari dan melihat mobil sewa itu sendiri yaitu Visual. Metode dan software basic ini dapat digunakan sebagai alat bantu pendukung bagi yang mengelola usaha rental mobil. Hasil penelitian yang diberikan harus menguntungkan dan bermanfaat bagi perusahaan Metode Visual Basic Autorent, dimana hasil aplikasi dapat digunakan sebagai alat pembelajaran bagi pengguna program untuk menangani aplikasi/program autorent. Sehingga pengguna mengerti dan memahami cara mengoperasikan perusahaan. Sistem ini seharusnya dapat memberikan informasi rental mobil khususnya metode Visual Basic. Metode Visual Basic yang digunakan sangat bermanfaat yaitu memudahkan dalam mengelola rental mobil, sehingga mudah dipelajari. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi ini dapat berfungsi dengan baik, memberikan kemudahan bagi pengguna dalam melakukan pemesanan rental mobil, serta membantu penyedia layanan dalam mengelola data transaksi. Dengan demikian, aplikasi ini dapat menjadi solusi praktis untuk kebutuhan rental mobil berbasis Android.

Abstract

The Pangulu Nagori Amborokan Panei Raya Office is one of the governmental institutions tasked with serving the local population. The Pangulu Nagori Amborokan Panei Raya office still records employee attendance using the manual approach. Employee attendance is noted in the attendance book. When done this way, there are still issues that come up. Particularly the time and effort put forth to complete the attendance procedure. In addition, because attendance data has very little protection and is accessible to anyone, it is challenging to summarize staff attendance reports. Building an Android-based application that can be used to process and track employee attendance is the aim of the author's research. The author employs UML to visually create the application design (Unified Modeling Language). The system development methodology, however, is a spiral that includes the phases of customer evaluation, planning, risk analysis, engineering, building, and disposal. The Kodular framework and the Airtable database are used in the development of an Android-based attendance application. The results of the study are an android-based attendance application that can be applied to make it easier for employees to take attendance and monitor employee attendance in real-time using an Android smartphone.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has encouraged many small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to shift to e-commerce platforms to expand their market reach. Abdul Rahman's business, which deals with the sale of anchovies, faces challenges in marketing and effective payment systems. Therefore, the development of an e-commerce application is needed to increase sales efficiency and provide convenience in transactions. This research aims to design and develop an e-commerce application for Abdul Rahman's business using the Waterfall software development method. This method was chosen because of its systematic and structured process, making it suitable for the needs of a small-scale business. The development stages include requirements analysis, system design, coding, testing, and maintenance. Additionally, this application is integrated with Midtrans, a payment gateway that allows customers to make payments through various methods such as bank transfers, credit cards, and digital wallets, simplifying the online transaction process. The final result of this research is an e-commerce application that can be used to market anchovy products more broadly and provide convenience in purchasing and secure, fast payment processes. System testing shows that the application functions as expected and can enhance the user experience in online shopping.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang pesat telah merambah hampir semua aspek kehidupan, termasuk di bidang kelautan dan perikanan. Dinas Kelautan dan Perikanan Provinsi Sumatera Utara menggunakan sistem informasi e-log book untuk mengumpulkan data secara akurat. Institusi ini bertanggung jawab memantau kegiatan perikanan, termasuk data penangkapan ikan dan lokasi operasi. Penggunaan log book fisik oleh nelayan untuk mencatat hasil tangkapan sering kali memakan waktu dan menghasilkan data yang kurang terstruktur. Aplikasi e-log book dikembangkan menggunakan metode Progressive Web App (PWA) dan GPS untuk melacak lokasi nelayan dan kapal, memungkinkan pelaporan dengan informasi lokasi yang akurat. Sistem ini mencatat dan mengunggah data penangkapan ikan, serta menyimpan data secara offline. Dengan demikian, nelayan dapat mengisi log book di lokasi penangkapan menggunakan perangkat seluler dan merekam lokasi penangkapan secara akurat, yang membantu dalam pemantauan dan pelaporan yang lebih akurat. Sistem e-log book penangkapan ikan ini mempermudah pengumpulan data yang akurat serta pencatatan hasil tangkapan ikan dan pengirimannya ke pihak berwenang oleh petugas. Keakuratan data penangkapan ikan merupakan faktor krusial dalam mendukung pengelolaan sumber daya ikan, dan penerapan teknologi e-log book adalah solusi efektif untuk meningkatkan kecepatan dan akurasi data tersebut. Analisis terhadap kesenjangan penerapan teknologi e-log book di Indonesia menunjukkan bahwa e-log book yang dikembangkan sudah memadai dari segi perangkat keras, perangkat lunak,komunikasi data (satelit dan GSM/GPRS), dan sistem integrator.
