Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe artikulasi dengan peta konsep terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa, dan untuk mengetahui korelasi antara motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuasi eksperimen yang menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe artikulasi dengan peta konsep di kelas eksperimen dan menerapkan pembelajaran konvensional di kelas kontrol. Teknik analisis data terhadap motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa yaitu dengan ANAKOVA, Independent t-test terhadap hasil belajar afektif, serta analisis korelasi Product Moment terhadap korelasi motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar siswa. Dari hasil penelitian pada kelas eksperimen, perlakuan berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dengan nilai (p) < 0,05. Rerata selisih motivasi awal dan akhir siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi yakni sebesar 5,30 dibandingkan rerata selisih siswa kelas kontrol yakni 1,34. Penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe artikulasi dengan peta konsep terhadap hasil belajar kognitif dan afektif siswa berpengaruh secara signifikan dengan nilai probabilitas lebih kecil dari 0,05 (p=0,000<0,05). Selisih rerata pre-test dengan post-test hasil belajar kognitif siswa sebesar 16,18 pada kelas eksperimen dan sebesar 8,76 pada kelas kontrol, sedangkan rerata hasil belajar afektif pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 81,90 dan hasil belajar afektif pada kelas kontrol sebesar 59,60. Dari hasil analisis korelasi diperoleh nilai (p) < 0,05. Hasil penelitian kuasi eksperimen menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe artikulasi dengan peta konsep berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa serta terdapat korelasi antara motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar siswa. Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengetahui kevalidan atau kelayakan modul berbasis masalah pada pokok bahasan ekosistem kelas VII SMP/MTs untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Prosedur pengembangan mengadaptasi dari model pengembangan 4-D (Four-D model) yang dikembangkan oleh Thiagarajan yang meliputi tahap pendefinisian, tahap perencanaan, tahap pengembangan, dan tahap penyebaran. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan hasil validasi dan angket. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian pengembangan yakni proses pengembangan modul ekosistem berbasis masalah untuk siswa kelas VII SMP/MTs menggunakan modifikasi 4-D (Four-D model) yang dikemukakan oleh Thiagarajan. Modifikasi ini terbatas hanya sampai 3 tahap yaitu tahap pendefinisian, tahap perencanaan, dan tahap pengembangan. Besar persentase rata-rata nilai terhadap modul yaitu 89,06% dengan kriteria valid. Hasil angket uji keterbacaan dan tingkat kesulitan yaitu persentase rata-rata sebesar 100% siswa menyatakan mudah dan 0% siswa menyatakan sulit. Hasil analisis angket respon siswa diperoleh rata-rata 93,7% siswa memberikan respon positif dan 6,3% siswa yang tidak merespon positif. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa sudah bisa memahami modul dan produk baru siap dimanfaatkan dalam pembelajaran. Kata Kunci: modul, berbasis masalah, ekosistem

Abstract

Pembelajaran kooperatif merupakan pembelajaran mengutamakan interaksi dan diskusi untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir siswa. Salah satu pembelajaran kooperatif adalah  MURDER  yang memiliki 6 langkah spesifik yaitu Mood, Understand, Recall, Digest, Expand, Review. MURDER dikombinasikan dengan Flash agar membantu materi biologi yang diajarkan dapat bersifat konkrit. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi pembelajaran MURDER berbasis media interactif flash terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, metakognisi dan hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperiment. Sampel dari kelas XI SMA Negeri 2 Jember adalah kelas XI IPA 4 dan XI IPA 5. Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa diukur dengan Lembar Diskusi Siswa (LDS). Kemampuan metakognisi siswa diukur dengan instrumen MAI (Metacognitive Awareness Inventory) yang dikembangkan oleh Schrew dan Dennison (1994). Data hasil belajar siswa diperoleh dari nilai pretest dan posttest. Analisis data pada kemampuan berpikir siswa diukur dengan Independent T-test sedangkan kemampuan metakognisi dan hasil belajar siswa diukur dengan Anakova pada SPSS 17.0. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran MURDER berbasis media interaktif flash memberikan pengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis, metakognisi dan hasil belajar siswa di SMA Negeri 2 Jember. Kata Kunci: MURDER, Flash, Berpikir kritis, Metakognisi, Hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

The use of game mechanics, game aesthetics, and game thinking can engage a person to be motivated to improve learning and solve problems. Students' motivation to learn when using games increases because in the game students feel happy and the learning that is carried out becomes cooperative. Game-based learning allows students to develop problem-solving skills, cooperate with peers and better communicate knowledge and learning outcomes. Students' understanding using games is considered easier to remember because learning is more fun. The results of this study found that there is a positive relationship between student engagement and the use of games in classroom learning. This positive relationship is seen in the use of games that increase students' emotional state such as excitement and motivation. This in turn improves student learning outcomes, as students become actively engaged in learning.

Abstract

Students believed physics was one of the most challenging sciences in education, and their interest in learning physics was lacking. Therefore, this study aims to enhance students' understanding and creativity in the STEAM learning system on electricity by creating a project (Paper Circuit) using the students' creativity at the junior high school level—quantitative research with a pre-experimental design used for this study. The population is 8th grade and 9th grade (50 students adapted to the curriculum used in the school) in one of the Junior Secondary Schools located in Bandung and Cimahi, Indonesia. The data is obtained from the pretest-posttest results, which show that the average pre-test score was 57.04 and the post-test score was 76.64. The nonparametric test was tested using the Wilcoxon test to measure student understanding. The results from e Wilcoxon are .000, which shows sig. 0.05, which means there is a significant difference between pre-test and post-test. Students' creativity is obtained from the Creativity Product Analysis Matrix (CPAM), and the result for Project 1 is 73.71%, categorized as enough, and Project 2 is 83.13%, categorized as good. Based on the result, Paper Circuit STEAM project-based learning can enhance student understanding and creativity. STEAM project-based learning can be used as an alternative teaching strategy in junior secondary school.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Project-Based Learning (PjBL) berbasis STEM pada topik pencemaran lingkungan terhadap creative and critical thinking siswa SMA. Permasalahan sampah masker di Indonesia sepanjang pandemi COVID-19 jumlahnya meningkat 30% hingga 50%. Sampah masker seringkali ditemukan di TPS dengan volume yang terus bertambah. Masalah sampah masker memerlukan adanya sinergitas berbagai elemen masyarakat dengan peran yang berbeda-beda. Adanya institusi Pendidikan (sekolah) memiliki peran penting dalam memberikan kontribusi besar untuk memulai gerakan penanganan sampah masker. Memadukan model PjBL berbasis STEM efektif untuk menangani masalah sampah masker yang dapat memunculkan creative and critical thinking yang baik. Jenis penelitian ini quasi eksperiment menggunakan dua kelas uji dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Tahapan penelitian dimulai merumuskan masalah hingga menarik kesimpulan dengan hasil penelitian kelas eksperimen memiliki tingkat creative and critical thinking kategori tinggi, sedangkan kelas kontrol kategori sedang. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini diharapkan model PjBL-STEM dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran Biologi agar siswa terlatih keterampilan creative and critical thinking. Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of the STEM-based Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model on the topic of environmental pollution on the creative and critical thinking of high school students. The problem of mask waste in Indonesia during the COVID-19 pandemic has increased by 30% to 50%. Mask waste is often found in TPS with an increasing volume. The mask waste problem requires the synergy of various elements of society with different roles. Educational institutions (schools) have an important role in making a major contribution to starting a movement to handle mask waste. Combining the STEM-based PjBL model is effective for handling the mask waste problem, which can bring out good creative and critical thinking. This type of research is a quasi-experiment using two test classes with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research stages begin to formulate the problem until drawing conclusions with the results of the experimental class research having a high level of creative and critical thinking, while the control class is in the medium category. Recommendations from this study are expected that the PjBL-STEM model can be applied in learning biology so that students are trained in creative and critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The study aims to investigate the importance of infusing SSI (Socioscientific Issue) into STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)-based Biotechnology learning by capturing the perceptions of students in Natural Science and Social Science. This is intended to make learning more effective because it helps students to achieve the comprehension of the material being taught. The research apply mix methods by capturing quantitative and qualitative data. The quantitative data are collected from the percentage of answers from 291 students who have filled out quizzes through online surveys. While qualitative data is collected from garnering students’ answers through unstructured interviews. The results showed that students of Natural Science discussed biotechnology more technically and normatively resulting in product effects, while students of Social Science focused more on the policy and risk aspects of biotech products. It is the difference in perception between the two majors that requires the SSI approach to be infused into the STEM approach. The benefits of such infusionare improved students' HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills), which is in line with the current learning trend of the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Abstract

Metacognition refers to the capacity for supervising, arranging, and directing the process of learning, while argumentation skills encompass the aptitude to construct and validate logical points. Proficiency in problem-solving holds a crucial role within the realm of scientific education. This research aims to explore the interconnection between metacognitive skills, argumentation skills, and problem-solving abilities in the domain of biology education. Employing a correlational research design, the investigation encompassed 118 students engaged in biology studies within the University of Jember's Biology Education Study Program during the academic term of 2022/2023, specifically within the Introduction to Education Science course. The research instrument utilized was a survey featuring 10 queries for each category—metacognitive skills, argumentation skills, and problem-solving abilities. Statistical analysis involved inferential methods, particularly multiple linear regression correlation. The findings unveiled a positive correlation between students' metacognitive skills and argumentation skills and their adeptness in problem-solving within the context of biology learning, signified by a noteworthy p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). This finding shows the importance of developing metacognitive skills and argumentation skills in improving students' problem solving abilities in learning. The implication of this finding can be used to design more effective learning strategies in improving metacognitive skills, argumentation skills and students' problem solving in biology subjects

Abstract

Students' 4C skills need to be facilitated in 21st century learning. It can be trained with various learning resources. However, the books is still the majority of learning resources in the classroom. One solution is to compile student’s worksheets as a learning resource that is integrated an innovative PjBL learning model. The student’s worksheets developed must be valid, practical, and effective in use. The student’s worksheets needs to be tested to measure the value of its validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The student’s worksheets uses the 4D model and this development process is discussed sufficiently at the develop stage. The research instruments used are student’s worksheets validation sheets, student’s worksheets implementation sheets, learning outcome tests, and student response questionnaires. The trial was conducted at SD Negeri Kedungrejo 02, Lumajang Regency with 16 students. Before it used, the student’s worksheets was validated by 2 experts and 1 certified ASN teacher who obtained an average validation score of 81.3 with a very valid category. After the student’s worksheets was declared valid, it was tested in the classroom and the practicality score obtained an average of 97.2% with a very practical category Meanwhile, the effectiveness in terms of n-gain was obtained with an average of 0.73 with details of 0.75 for learning outcomes and 0.70 for EDP, both of which are included in the high value with the effective category. The results of this trial indicate that the student’s worksheets developed meets the validity, practicality, and effectiveness values for use in classroom learning.

Abstract

Logam berat seperti timbal (Pb) dan kadmium (Cd) merupakan polutan berbahaya yang dapat mengganggu fungsi fisiologis organisme akuatik, termasuk ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon fisiologis ikan nila terhadap paparan Pb(NO₃)₂ dan CdCl₂ pada konsentrasi 1 ppm selama 3 jam. Parameter yang diamati meliputi kecepatan respirasi, morfometrik saluran pencernaan, serta parameter hematologi seperti jumlah eritrosit, leukosit, dan kadar hemoglobin. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa paparan CdCl₂ memberikan efek toksik lebih kuat dibandingkan Pb(NO₃)₂, dengan penurunan signifikan pada jumlah eritrosit, kadar hemoglobin, dan kecepatan respirasi. Sementara itu, paparan Pb(NO₃)₂ juga menyebabkan penurunan hemoglobin dan eritrosit, serta perubahan warna organ pencernaan seperti empedu dan hati, namun efeknya tidak sebesar CdCl₂. Kedua logam berat meningkatkan jumlah leukosit sebagai respons imun terhadap stres oksidatif. Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa logam berat, terutama Cd, dapat mengganggu sistem pernapasan, peredaran darah, dan fungsi pencernaan ikan nila.
