The aimed of this research to determine the relationship between the sanitation risk index and the incidence of environmental-based diseases in the Pesawahan Village, Bandar Lampung City. Methods: This research was a quantitative study with a cross sectional design and a sample of 135 respondents. The sampling technique used was Pusposive Sampling with univariate and bivariate analysis tests to determine the relationship between the independent variables (Sanitation Risk Index (IRS) for water sources, wastewater, solid waste, inundation and Clean Living Behavior) and the dependent variable (environment-based disease studies) using Chi Square test..Results: The results showed that most of the respondents had IRS water sources (66.7%) and standing water (93.3%) in the non-risk category. This study also shows that almost all (94.1%) have IRS for domestic wastewater, solid waste (93.3%), PHBS (94.8%) with risk categories. In the last 3 months, most of the respondents have experienced the incidence of environmental-based diseases (75.6%). The results of the bivariate test showed that there was a relationship between domestic wastewater IRS (p value = 0.021; OR = 5,632), sewage IRS (p value = 0.039 OR = 4.181), and IRS PHBS (p value = 0.003; OR = 8.534) with the incidence of environmental disease. Conclusion: The results of the study show that there is a relationship between the risk index of domestic wastewater sanitation, solid waste and clean and healthy living behavior with the incidence of environmental-based diseases. These finding suggested that the government, health centers and the community should pay more attention to and contribute to the improvement of the IRS.

Abstract

This type of research is quantitative research with an analytic research design and a cross sectional approach. The sample is 67 community leaders with 7 hamlet heads and 60 RTs taken using total sampling technique. With analysis using the Chi – square test. This research was conducted in October–March 2023. The results of the univariate analysis showed good knowledge of 61.19%, positive attitude of 58.21%, high motivation of 53.73%. Verbal information sources at 56.72% and non-verbal information sources at 43.28%. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and motivation with DHF prevention behavior with p-values (0.00), (0.00), and (0.00). There is no relationship between information sources and DHF prevention behavior (0.90). The need for the role of health workers to form a community or group of community leaders who are named or term "Tomato DHF" (community leaders prevent DHF) and activate counseling activities regarding DHF prevention with 3M Plus

Abstract

Hypertension is systolic blood pressure ≥ 140, and diastolic ≥ 90 mmHg (Unger et al., 2020). Indonesia showed an increase from the 2013 Riskesdas data (25.8%) and 2018 Riskesdas (34.11%). Lampung ranks 16th with the highest number of hypertension in Indonesia with a presentation reaching 29.94% (Kemenkes RI, 2019) and (Kementrian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia, 2018). This research aims to determine the risk factors for hypertension in the Lampung province community using 2018 Riskesdas data. Using secondary data with a quantitative research type and cross-sectional design. The research population was the total sample of the 2018 Riskesdas in Lampung Province, namely 22,345 individuals, and the sample excluding pregnant data and incomplete data resulted in a sample of 11,095 individuals. Data analysis used univariate, chi-square, and multiple logistic regression. Bivariate test results of gender, age, education, diabetes mellitus, salty consumption, smoking, physical activity, obesity p-value α<0.05 means there is a significant relationship between gender, age, education, diabetes mellitus, salty consumption, smoking, physical activity, obesity on the incidence of hypertension in Lampung Province. Obesity has a modifying effect on the relationship between age and the incidence of hypertension, in obese people aged ≥45 the risk of experiencing hypertension is 3,804 times higher than those aged <45 years after controlling for gender, education, history of diabetes mellitus, salt consumption, smoking, and physical activity.
