Abstract

This research discusses the Indonesian derivation and inflections used in English words with a background based on the large number of social media users who combine English words with Indonesian affixations. The aim is to describe the process of Indonesian derivation and inflection in English words and to describe changes in parts of speech that occur from the original words. The data source used in this research is application application X period January-February 2024 with data collection techniques through free listening techniques, note-taking techniques, and documentation techniques (screen captures). This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method with a morphological approach. The theory used in this research is the theory of derivation and inflection using Baeur's theory and additional theory for explaining the function and meaning of affixation using the theories of Arifin and Junaiyah, Putrayasa, and Kridalaksana. The results of this study found changes in parts of speech in the derivation category of 44%, divided into nine, changes of parts of speech from noun to verb, changes of parts of speech from noun to adjective, a change of parts of speech from noun to adverb, a change of parts of speech from verb to noun, a change of parts of speech from verb to adjective, a change of parts of speech from verb to adverb, a change of parts of speech from adjective to a noun, a change of parts of speech from adjective to the verb, and changes of parts of speech from adjective to adverb. However, in each parts of speech derived from noun, verb, and adjective was not found to be a change to the adverb parts of speech because no Indonesian affixation was found which changed the parts of speech of the English word to the adverb parts of speech. Furthermore, 56% of parts of speech changes in the inflection category are divided into three types, changes of parts of speech from noun to noun, a change of parts of speech from verb to verb, and changes of parts of speech from adjective to adjective.Keywords: language, derivation, inflection, parts of speech, morphology.

Abstract

This article analyzes, classifies and explains the acquisition of speech in children with Down syndrome, both reduction and substitution. Qualitative descriptive research method, data collection techniques: listening, taking notes, interviews and documentation. The results of speech reduction research for people with Down syndrome experienced difficulties with vowels [e] and vowels [i]. Consonant difficulties include the bilabial consonant phoneme [b] [m] [p], the alveolar consonant phoneme [l] [r] [n] [s], the glottal consonant phoneme [h], and the dental consonant phoneme [t]. Meanwhile, in speech substitution, 15 phonemes are substituted, namely [l] ? [y], [l] ? [r], [j] ? [s], [d] ? [i], [k] ? [ t], [g] ? [h], [s] ? [w], [b] ? [w], [b] ? [y], [r] ? [y], [t] ? [w] , [t] ? [?], [?] ? [g], [n] ? [?], [?] ? [n].Keywords: down syndrome; psycholinguistics; speechAbstrak:Artikel ini menganalisis, mengklasifikasikan, menjelaskan pemerolehan ujaran pada anak down syndrome baik reduksi maupun substitusinya. Metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data simak, catat, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian reduksi ujaran penyandang down syndrome mengalami kesulitan vokal [e] dan vokal [i]. Kesulitan konsonan yaitu fonem konsonan bilabial [b] [m] [p], fonem konsonan alveolar [l] [r] [n] [s], fonem konsonan glotal [h], dan fonem konsonan dental [t]. Sedangkan pada substitusi ujaran  fonem yang mengalami substitusi sebanyak 15 fonem, yaitu [l] ? [y], [l] ? [r], [j] ? [s], [d] ? [i], [k] ? [t], [g] ? [h], [s] ? [w], [b] ? [w], [b] ? [y], [r] ? Abstract

The purpose of this study is to see the effect of change leadership on teacher’s performance through job satisfaction on the performance of Junior High School (SMP) teachers in Cilegon City. The method was ex post facto and uses a questionnaire and research data analysis using path analysis to understand the causal relationship between variables in a model. The results of the study indicate that change leadership has an indirect effect on teacher’s performance through job satisfaction. The results of this study present novelty by exploring the role of job satisfaction as a mediator in the relationship between change leadership and teacher’s performance. The findings of this study offer new insights into the importance of job satisfaction in strengthening the positive effects of change leadership on teacher’s performance.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is a very important skill in our learning and in our lives. With this reading comprehension ability, one can also obtain information more effectively, develop knowledge, and understand other people's perspectives and experiences that can enrich their thinking and worldview. And the PQ4R method is a solution to the problem of the lack of reading comprehension skills, the steps are Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, and Review. The purpose of this research is to conduct a literature review related to the PQ4R method and also its effect on reading comprehension skills in elementary school students. In this study, researchers used the SLR (Systematic Literature Review) method. All research articles that have conducted similar research are included in the research report to obtain data. The research journal articles utilized in this study were 21 national journal articles and 1 international article. The articles were obtained from the Google Scholar database with the help of the Publish or Perish application. The research results from several journal articles that have been reviewed, according to many studies analyzed about the use of the PQ4R method, the PQ4R method can improve reading comprehension, and can also improve student learning outcomes in elementary schools. On analyzing the results of several studies, the PQ4R method is not only used to improve reading comprehension skills but can also be used in other subject matter.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to explore how school brands can be used as a tool to instill character in students through learning the Koran. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, which involves in-depth interviews with teachers, school principals, students and parents, as well as direct observation of Al-Qur'an learning activities. Research findings show that a strong school brand, appropriate strategy and implementation, as well as an appropriate evaluation program to measure effectiveness play a significant role in establishing a learning environment that supports the cultivation of discipline and responsibility. The strategies implemented include collaboration with student parents, building commitment from teaching staff, setting clear and measurable targets, interactive learning activities, and implementing positive habituation programs in students' daily lives. Measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of cultivating the character of discipline and responsibility at SDIT IQRA Serang City is carried out through various activities involving all elements of the school, including teachers, students and parents. Measuring and evaluating the effectiveness of character cultivation includes tahfidz d exam activities, counseling for students and parents, coordination meetings as well as progress reports and program preparation. The conclusion of this research is that a school brand that is well designed and implemented can be an effective means of developing discipline and responsibility in students, which ultimately supports the achievement of learning targets as well as students' academic and non-academic achievements.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan dekriptif kualitatif. Objek penelitian ini yaitu variasi bahasa dialek Papua dan dialek Betawi yang mengandung tindak tutur direktif. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu web Series Imperfect The Series Season 2 karya Ernest Prakasa. Sumber data penelitian ini setiap kalimat yang diucapkan oleh tokoh yang menggunakan dialek papua dan dialek betawi dan mengandung tindak tutur direktif dalam web series "Imperfect The Series" Season 2. Instrumen penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah peneliti sendiri sebagai alat pengumpul data utama dalam penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini data berupa metode simak dan catat. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan data berupa kosa kata dialek Papua dan dialek Betawi yaitu 7 data kosa kata dialek Papua,dan kata dialek Betawi ditemukan 12 data. Dalam penelitian ini juga ditemukan tindak tutur direktif permintaan, perintah, kritikan, larangan, dan nasihat.

Abstract

In this research, researchers took stories from the Baduy community of Ciboleger village. There are various types of speech that undergo the affixation process. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, namely research in which the analysis is presented in the form of written descriptions accompanied by explanations and explanations. The data source in this research is the Baduy community. Data collection techniques in research use observation techniques, interview techniques, recording techniques, and skilled free-involved listening techniques. In this research, after the data analysis process was complete, the researcher carried out data validity. The way to check whether the data is valid or not is through a validator. The results of the research can be concluded that the speech of the Baduy people of Ciboleger Village was found to have undergone a lot of data that underwent an affixation process. The findings produced in the research regarding affixations in the speech of the Baduy community of Ciboleger Village totaled 26 data as follows: (1) prefix affixations totaling 11 data; (2) suffix affixation of 8 data; (3) Confix affixation of 7 data.

Abstract

The video content on the Bintang Emon Instagram account is content that is exclusively uploaded on Instagram social media. Bintang Emon's video content is different from other creators' content, he creates comedy content with the aim of criticizing the government or giving opinions about hot political phenomena. Bintang Emon's Instagram account is currently followed by 6 million users on Instagram. Bintang Emon's content tends to trigger comments from its users, and they often exchange opinions in their uploads. Therefore, the author is interested in researching the meaning relationships in video content on the Bintang Emon Instagram account and its use in learning Indonesian in high school. The method used is a qualitative method with integrated analysis techniques. The approach used is a semantic approach with the hope of being able to interpret the meaning relationships of the words, phrases, clauses and sentences displayed. The results of this research are 6 types of detailed meaning relations, namely: (a) synonymous meaning relations for 3 pieces of data; (b) antonymy meaning relations of 9 data; (c) polysemy meaning relationship of 2 data; (d) ambiguous meaning relationship between 3 pieces of data; (e) hyponymy meaning relationship for 1 piece of data, and; (f) redundancy meaning relationship of 5 pieces of data. The implication in learning Indonesian regarding poetry texts in class 10 (high school level) is that it is hoped that it will make it easier for students to understand and even write poetry texts, where both have the same characteristics, namely that they both use meaning relations in the form of synonymy and homonymy.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the implications contained in the Billboards for Prospective Legislative Candidates/DPRD in Serang Regency in 2024 and its implementation in Indonesia language learning in junior high school. This implication analysis research uses a qualitative research method. The data collection technique uses observation techniques, documentation techniques, and note-taking techniques. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique in this study uses data reduction techniques, presentation of data analysis results, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study found: (1) The types of implications contained in billboards for prospective Legislature/DPRD candidates in Serang Regency in 2024 are conventional implications and conversational implications. (2) The function of the implications contained in the billboards of prospective Legislative Candidates/DPRD in Serang Regency in 2024 is that in the conventional implication data, it is found that the types of speech acts of the commissioner promise, directive to invite, directive to ask or beg, assertively inform, and assertively suggest. Meanwhile, in the data on the implication of the conversation, it was found that the types of speech acts were assertive, directive to invite, commission to promise, and assertive to inform. (3) The results of the research are used as an implementation in Indonesian learning in grade VIII (eight) junior high school by creating a teaching module on the material of recognizing messages in commercial advertisements.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan ambiguitas pada judul berita surat kabar Haluan Banten tahun 2023 dan implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia yakni penyusunan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah judul-judul berita surat kabar Haluan Banten pada tahun 2023. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan teknik simak libat cakap dan teknik catat. Proses analisis data dilakukan dengan metode padan. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan adanya ambiguitas dalam judul berita surat kabar Haluan Banten, yang terdiri dari 5 ambiguitas gramatikal dan 3 ambiguitas leksikal, dengan total keseluruhan mencapai 8 data. Temuan ini juga dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai materi dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia serta sebagai panduan bagi pendidik dalam menyusun rencana pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia untuk siswa kelas XII SMA, khususnya mengenai teks editorial.
