Abstract

This study investigates the influence of digital literacy on critical thinking skills and social studies learning outcomes among seventh-grade students at SMPN 1 Lenek. Employing a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design, the research involved both experimental and control groups, with the experimental group receiving digital literacy-based interventions. Data were collected using descriptive and inferential analyses, including normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing with SPSS software. The results revealed that students in the experimental group achieved higher post-test scores in both critical thinking skills (M = 74.44) and social studies learning outcomes (M = 84.44) compared to the control group (M = 55.56 and M = 59.44, respectively). The findings confirmed that digital literacy significantly improves students’ critical thinking abilities and academic achievement in social studies. This study highlights the importance of integrating digital literacy into classroom instruction to foster higher-order thinking skills and enhance learning outcomes.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital ecosystems has highlighted the limitations of centralized data storage systems, which often struggle with data loss, censorship, and single points of failure. To address these challenges, this study explores the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) as a decentralized data management solution that enhances security, availability, and sustainability in distributed information environments. Using the IPFS-KI framework, a descriptive qualitative methodology, this research examines the architectural design, operational mechanisms, and real-world implementations of IPFS. Through literature analysis, node simulations, and case based evaluation, the study investigates IPFS performance in maintaining data integrity, fault tolerance, and resilience against network disruptions and censorship. The findings reveal that IPFS provides improved data reliability, transparency, and scalability compared to conventional centralized architectures, although certain limitations remain in terms of node stability and hidden centralization. This study contributes to a broader understanding of how decentralized storage technologies like IPFS can support the development of more secure, equitable, and sustainable digital infrastructures.

Abstract

: This study examines the impact of gamification learning model assisted by Wordwall media on students' learning interest, motivation, and achievement in Economics subject. Using quasi-experimental design with Non-Equivalent Control Group, 41 tenth-grade students at SMA Yadinu Masbagik were divided into experimental (21 students) and control groups (20 students). Data were collected using validated questionnaires for interest and motivation (10 items each) and achievement test (10 questions), with reliability α > 0.88. Analysis employed paired and independent sample t-tests, Cohen's d, and N-Gain scores using SPSS. Results showed significant improvements in the experimental group: learning interest increased 68.2% vs 33.3% (control), motivation 67.2% vs 30.1%, and achievement 56.4% vs 29.5%. All differences were statistically significant (p < 0.001) with large effect sizes (Cohen's d > 1.8) and high N-Gain scores (71.60%-76.19%). The gamification learning model assisted by Wordwall media proved highly effective in enhancing students' learning interest, motivation, and achievement in Economics education.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of leveled reading books based on the ADDIE model to improve reading skills and text comprehension among elementary school students. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The participants included 45 fifth-grade students, consisting of 10 students in the small-group trial and 35 students in the large-group trial. Data were collected through pretest-posttest assessments, expert validation sheets, and questionnaires. Quantitative data were analyzed using the normalized gain (N-Gain) formula, while qualitative data were analyzed descriptively. The results indicate that the developed product is valid and effective. The small-group trial showed an N-Gain score of 0.69 (moderate category), while the large-group trials demonstrated high effectiveness with N-Gain scores ranging from 0.79 to 0.80. In addition, student and teacher responses were categorized as excellent, indicating high acceptance and practicality of the product. In conclusion, leveled reading books developed through the ADDIE model are effective instructional materials for enhancing students’ reading comprehension and literacy engagement. This study contributes to the development of differentiated literacy instruction in elementary education.

Abstract

Materials to enhance learning outcomes in primary civic education. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The study was conducted with second-grade students at SDN 01 Terara, involving a small group (n=6) and a large group (n=20). Data were collected through expert validation, questionnaires, and pretest–posttest assessments. The validation results showed that the instructional materials achieved an average score of 71%, categorized as valid. The practicality test indicated positive responses from teachers (70%) and students (70.1%), categorized as highly practical. The effectiveness analysis using the N-gain score revealed a moderate improvement in the small group (0.48) and a high improvement in the large group (0.58). These findings indicate that the developed animated video-based instructional materials are valid, practical, and effective in improving students’ learning outcomes. This study contributes to the field of educational technology by integrating multimedia learning with a systematic instructional design framework and providing empirical evidence of its effectiveness in primary civic education.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning in elementary schools faces several major challenges, one of which is low student interest in this learning, mainly due to teaching methods that tend to be monotonous and less interactive. The limited variety of learning resources and interesting are several important factors in the lack of interest in PAI, many students find it difficult to understand PAI material because the delivery is not relevant to the current digital learning style. The availability of interactive learning media relevant to current digital learning is certainly very necessary. Interactive Learning Media Using Voice Guidance for Wudhu and Tajwid Readings for Elementary School Children is a solution that can be used as a learning tool to increase children's interest in learning independently anytime and anywhere. This learning media is an Android-based application that can be run on smartphones. Interactive elements such as visuals, videos, and audio in the application are expected to increase student engagement in the learning process better. Theoretically, this research can add to the development of Android-based learning media in the field of PAI, especially for practical materials. Practically, this application can be a useful resource for teachers, students, and the community in understanding and practicing Wudhu and tajwid procedures. This research is expected to significantly improve the quality of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning. The results of the trial implementation of the learning media at SDN 2 Rarang, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, showed a 100% positive. Based on the feedback and reactions given by teachers and students, it shows that the application created runs well and helps teachers and students in achieving learning targets. Keywords: Interactive Learning Media, Wudhu, Tajwid

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the student development model implemented by UKM LPM Dinamika in enhancing writing skills at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta. The background of this research is grounded in the importance of academic literacy as a twenty-first-century competency and the low participation of students in writing activities and scientific publications. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with thematic analysis, following Krippendorff’s guidelines on content analysis and the qualitative data processing procedures outlined by Hardani et al. (2020). Primary data were obtained through an in-depth interview with the Chairperson of UKM LPM Dinamika, supported by a literature review related to literacy development and the enhancement of students’ writing capacity. The findings show that the development model consists of four core programs: the BRAIN Dinamika Basic Training as the foundation for research and writing skills; Routine Literacy Activities such as book and film discussions to cultivate reading habits and critical thinking; Writing Week as an intensive mentoring program for producing scientific papers; and the JAGOAN Achievement Program for coaching students in writing competitions. This development model significantly contributes to improving students’ writing abilities in terms of technical skills, argumentative structure, and academic confidence. These findings reinforce the strategic role of student-based literacy communities in strengthening the academic culture within the university environment.
