Abstract

Online loans have become a global phenomenon, including in Indonesia, with rapid growth due to easy access and fast processes. However, the practice of online loans is often associated with issues of usury, exploitation, and violations of sharia. This study aims to analyze online loans from an Islamic perspective through a literature approach by reviewing sources of the Qur'an, Hadith, fatwas of scholars, and sharia financial regulations. The results of the study indicate that online loans containing elements of usury and gharar (unclarity) are prohibited in Islam, while sharia online loans based on the principle of profit sharing (mudharabah/qardhul hasan) is permitted. This article also discusses the socio-economic impacts of online loans and Islamic solutions to avoid practices that conflict with sharia

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy, income, and expenditure control on household financial management among housewives in Tangar Hamlet, Setungkep Lingsar Village. This research employs a quantitative approach with an associative design. The sample consisted of 152 housewives selected through simple random sampling from a population of 244 individuals. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using classical assumption tests and multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. The findings reveal that income has a positive and significant effect on household financial management, indicated by a t-value of 4.274 > 1.976 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Meanwhile, financial literacy does not have a significant effect, as shown by a t-value of 1.360 < 1.976 and a significance value of 0.176 > 0.05. Similarly, expenditure control does not significantly influence financial management, with a t-value of 1.646 < 1.976 and a significance value of 0.102 > 0.05. However, simultaneously, financial literacy, income, and expenditure control significantly affect household financial management, as indicated by an F-value of 18.589 > 2.67 and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. These findings confirm that income is the dominant factor determining the effectiveness of household financial management, while financial literacy and expenditure control need to be strengthened to contribute more substantially to household financial management practices among housewives.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are: (1) to explain the concept and implementation of kitab turats learning in Sekarbela and Pesinggahan, Mataram City; and (2) to explain the contribution of kitab turats learning in Sekarbela and Pesinggahan, Mataram City, as a form of non-formal Islamic education in shaping the religious character of urban communities. This study employs a qualitative and multidisciplinary approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses Spradley’s ethnographic qualitative analysis model, in which data analysis is conducted directly in the field simultaneously with the data collection process. The analysis consists of domain analysis, taxonomic analysis, componential analysis, and thematic analysis. The results show that kitab turats learning in Sekarbela was initiated by TGH Muhammad Rais, while in Pesinggahan it was pioneered by TGH Mustofa Kamal. The implementation of kitab turats learning has been smooth and successful due to support from knowledgeable teachers, diligent students, comprehensive learning objectives, holistic learning materials, and varied methods, including thariqah ‘alaniyah, which focuses on the material–cognitive domain, and thariqah sirriyah, which encompasses spiritual–affective aspects. In addition, learning evaluation is integrative, combining cognitive, psychomotor, and affective domains. Kitab turats learning in Sekarbela and Pesinggahan, Mataram City, makes a significant contribution to shaping the religious character of urban communities.

Abstract

This study, titled Strategic Business Forecasting and Market Trends Analysis Using Machine Learning Techniques, explores how artificial intelligence (AI) particularly machine learning (ML) can enhance the accuracy and strategic impact of business forecasting in dynamic markets. Traditional statistical forecasting methods often fail to accommodate complex, nonlinear, and high-dimensional data. To address this gap, the research develops and validates a machine learning–based forecasting model designed to integrate predictive analytics into strategic decision-making. The study adopts a quantitative approach and employs Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS 3 to examine the interrelationships among four latent variables: Market Trends (MT), Forecasting Accuracy (FA), Strategic Planning Efficiency (SPE), and Business Performance (BP). Each construct is measured using three indicators, forming a structural model that tests six hypothesized relationships. The results indicate that understanding market trends significantly improves forecasting accuracy and strategic planning efficiency, which in turn positively influences business performance. Furthermore, forecasting accuracy directly enhances both planning efficiency and overall performance, emphasizing the strategic value of data-driven insights. The findings validate the reliability and predictive power of the proposed model, offering a robust framework for organizations aiming to leverage machine learning in strategic forecasting. By bridging the gap between algorithmic prediction and managerial application, this study contributes to the growing field of AI-driven business analytics and supports the development of more agile, informed, and resilient business strategies in a data-centric economy.

Abstract

This qualitative study examines how third-semester EFL students at UIN Siber Syekh Nurjati Cirebon engage with web-based sources in academic report writing. Drawing on theories of intertextuality, genre-based pedagogy, and digital literacy, the research investigates students’ strategies in selecting, interpreting, and integrating online information when composing a report on Cirebon wedding traditions. Data from student texts and semi-structured interviews were analysed thematically using Braun and Clarke’s framework. Findings show that students employed targeted keyword searches and demonstrated awareness of genre structure, but tended to rely on top-ranked institutional sources and simplified conflicting information. While they displayed emerging control over paraphrasing and citation, their critical evaluation of digital content, especially in relation to algorithmic bias and underrepresented perspectives, remained limited. The study underscores the need to expand writing instruction beyond functional skills to include ethical source use, algorithmic awareness, and critical authorship, especially in contexts where AI-assisted tools are increasingly accessible. It recommends further research into how intertextual practices evolve across genres, disciplines, and technological environments. This study positions EFL learners as developing digital authors who require pedagogical support to write with critical awareness in a digitally saturated world.
