Abstract

This study aims to analyze the sentiment of customer reviews of the Grand Jatra Hotel Pekanbaru on the Google Review platform using the Naïve Bayes algorithm. Social media and online review platforms are increasingly becoming the primary source of information for potential customers in making purchasing decisions, particularly in the hospitality sector. Therefore, sentiment analysis of customer reviews is crucial for understanding consumer perceptions and providing strategic input for hotels in improving service quality. The research data was collected using web scraping techniques to obtain publicly available customer reviews. The obtained data was then processed through text preprocessing stages including case folding, tokenizing, normalization, stopword removal, and stemming. The Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) method was then used to weight each word, so that more relevant words have a greater influence in the classification process. The sentiment classification process was carried out into two main categories, namely positive and negative. The Naïve Bayes model was trained using training data and then tested with test data to measure the algorithm's performance in classifying sentiment. The evaluation results show that the model built is able to achieve an accuracy level of 98%, with a precision value of 97% and a recall of 100% in the positive class, and 92% in the negative class. These findings confirm that the Naïve Bayes algorithm can be effectively used in analyzing customer sentiment towards hotel services and facilities. Practically, the results of this study are expected to provide insight for the management of Grand Jatra Hotel Pekanbaru in understanding customer perceptions, identifying service strengths and weaknesses, and formulating more targeted marketing strategies. In addition, this study can also be a reference for the development of similar studies in the hotel industry and other service sectors.

Abstract

Pendidikan tinggi memainkan peran sentral dalam menyiapkan sumber daya manusia yang unggul di tengah tantangan globalisasi. IPK digunakan sebagai indikator utama untuk menilai pencapaian akademik mahasiswa yang mencerminkan keberhasilan dalam menempuh pendidikan tinggi. Capaian Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Padang masih perlu peningkatan agar melahirkan lulusan yang profesional dan kompeten dalam ranah ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan artificial intelligence (AI) dan efikasi diri terhadap performa akademik pada mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Padang. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode penelitian asosiatif kausal dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi yang diteliti adalah adalah mahasiswa aktif Universitas Negeri Padang yang terdaftar pada tahun 2021 hingga 2024 dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 396 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik proportional random sampling. Data dianalisis melalui teknik analisis deskriptif dan induktif dengan menggunakan software SPSS versi 30. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa 1) penggunaan artificial intelligence berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap performa akademik mahasiswa, 2) efikasi diri berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap performa akademik mahasiswa, 3) penggunaan artificial intelligence dan efikasi diri berpengaruh signifikan secara bersama-sama terhadap performa akademik mahasiswa. Implikasinya, integrasi teknologi AI dalam proses pembelajaran serta penguatan efikasi diri perlu diprioritaskan dalam strategi peningkatan mutu akademik mahasiswa

Abstract

This study subjective to analyze the influence of resilience and digital literacy on entrepreneurial readiness of students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Padang State University in the digital era. With a population of 3,565 students. The sample collection technique used purposive sampling with criteria that have completed entrepreneurship courses and entrepreneurial practices with a sample of 100 respondents and analyzed using SPSS 27. The results of the study indicate that resilience and digital literacy have a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial readiness. The implications of this study suggest the need for integrated training programs and curriculum development that support both aspects.

Abstract

Class management is a determinant of creating a comfortable, conducive, and efficient learning atmosphere and learning objectives can be achieved. The aim of this research is to look at forms of classroom management that are conducive to  history of Islam subjects at madrasah tsanawiyah muhammadiyah Padang Panjang. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods and the technique of purposive sampling. To obtain data, researchers used observation, interviews, and documentation. The data processing techniques are data reduction, data presentation, conclusions, or verification. Researchers use these data processing techniques to obtain accurate research results. The research results obtained are; i) class management requires a warm and enthusiastic teacher attitude, creating challenges in the learning process so that students become enthusiastic, having the ability to vary and be flexible in teaching so that students are active and try to focus during the learning process, emphasizing positive things and cultivating self-discipline so that the learning process is not disturbed and students have a sense of responsibility. ii) skills in preventive classroom management in the form of: a). being responsive and paying attention can prevent disturbances from students, b). providing clear instructions can help students stay focused in the learning process. Then classroom management skills are repressive in the form of a) modifying behavior, which can make students quickly and easily understand the material because they do not commit deviant actions during the learning process, b) finding and solving problematic behavior, which can make the learning process comfortable, effective, conducive and efficient. iii) supporting factors for classroom management such as curriculum, buildings, and teachers. Inhibiting factors such as facilities and infrastructure, as well as students and families in classroom management, can be a reference in improving or reducing the atmosphere of the learning process. The results of this research can be used as initial data for future researchers in studying this problem in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

The principal is one of the key components in improving the quality of education in Islamic educational institutions. They have a strategic role in managing and developing schools, and ensuring that the educational process runs effectively and efficiently. However, there are still many questions about how the role of the principal in improving the quality of education in Islamic educational institutions. This study aims to analyze the interpersonal, communication and cooperation competencies of the principal in improving the quality of education in the school environment. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, data sources are taken from eight informants through in-depth individual interviews. The author also conducted direct observations at the research location and analyzed several related documents to support these findings. The research findings found that related to the interpersonal competence of the principal, he carried out eight forms of performance such as collaborating with educators, conducting workshops, and holding discussions. Related to communication competence, the principal took a personal communication approach such as receiving complaints and suggestions from school residents. Furthermore, related to cooperation competence, the principal formed a solid work team, solved problems together and built partnerships with parents of students.

Abstract

Discipline is one of the main pillars in character development for students, particularly in the context of Islamic educational institutions that emphasize moral and spiritual values. Instilling disciplined behavior is not only aimed at establishing order in the daily lives of students in Islamic educational institutions, but also through habituation, role modeling, Islamic value-based guidance, and strengthening cooperation between teachers, parents, and the social environment. Type of research this is field research through a descriptive qualitative approach, data collection techniques were collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The results and discussion of the research are: 1) Forms of Student Discipline, student discipline at the Cahaya Di Atas Cahaya Tahfidz School in Bukittinggi City is good and increasing, such as discipline in coming to school on time, wearing complete uniforms, bringing textbooks according to the subject, and being orderly during learning. 2) School culture in improving student discipline, the culture has been implemented well and consistently, namely, implementing the school's vision and mission, the professionalism of work owned by teachers and school employees, and implementing a culture of smiling, greeting, polite, courteous, while 3) Supporting factors in improving student discipline include teacher motivation, parental cooperation, facilities and infrastructure. While the inhibiting factors are parents, education at home, and technological advances.

Abstract

The quality of Islamic educational institutions is greatly influenced by the effectiveness of the principal's leadership in managing and developing all components of education. This study aims to analyze in depth the strategies implemented by the principal in an effort to improve the quality of Islamic educational institutions, both from the managerial, academic, and spiritual aspects. The main focus of this study is how the principal prepares strategic planning, starting from the recruitment system for educators and education personnel, development and evaluation of the performance of educators and education personnel. at Insan Kamil, Bukittinggi City. This study uses a qualitative method with the typefield research. Data sources using observation, interviews and documentation, data sources in this study are the head of the foundation, principal, vice principal, ustadz and ustadzah Insan Kamil. The results of the study indicate that: 1) The recruitment system for educators and education personnel at Insan Kamil has been implemented because it has compiled a recruitment system starting from applicant administration, applicant criteria and applicant recruitment system. 2) The development of educators and education personnel has been implemented both through classical and non-classical channels because activities such as seminars, workshops, webinars, comparative studies and outbound have been carried out. 3) Evaluation of the performance of educators and education personnel has been implemented because at the beginning of the semester educators have prepared learning administration and held an evaluation meeting at the end of the semester, to review the learning process that has been carried out during the semester. The results of this study can be used as initial data for subsequent researchers in studying this problem in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the forms of religious attitudes of students at SDIT Masyithah in Bukittinggi City, both in the madrasah environment, the family environment, and even in the community environment. This research is a fieldresearch using a qualitative descriptive approach because the form of religious attitudes in general is opinion data that is in accordance with qualitative data that is described accountably and balanced about the data. The data collection technique was implemented by conducting observations, interviews and documentation at SDIT Masyithah Kota Bukittinggi. The results of this study can be concluded as follows: First The forms of religious attitudes of students at SDIT Masyithah, Bukittinggi City are as follows: honesty, tolerance, discipline, responsibility, care for the environment and social care.Second The method of forming religious attitudes of students at SDIT Masyithah Bukittinggi City consists of several strategies, namely: role models, instilling discipline, habituation, creating a conducive atmosphere, and integration and internalization of character education requires a process of internalization of values. The results of this study can be used as initial data for subsequent researchers in examining this problem in different contexts and issues.

Abstract

Bahasa merupakan sarana komunikasi penting dalam kehidupan manusia. Bahasa Indonesia sendiri berasal dari bahasa Melayu yang telah lama berperan di Asia Tenggara sejak abad ke-7 M. Salah satu bentuk warisan budaya Melayu adalah aksara Arab Melayu yang dahulu banyak digunakan, khususnya oleh masyarakat di Bengkalis. Namun, seiring perkembangan zaman dan masuknya pengaruh bahasa lain, penggunaan aksara ini semakin tergerus. Untuk menjaga kelestariannya, penelitian ini mengembangkan aplikasi kamus Aksara Arab Melayu berbasis Android. Tujuannya adalah mempermudah masyarakat dalam memahami serta menggunakan aksara tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengembangan aplikasi ini adalah Waterfall, karena menawarkan pendekatan yang sistematis dan berurutan melalui tahap analisis kebutuhan, desain, implementasi, pengujian, hingga pemeliharaan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebuah aplikasi yang dapat diakses secara luas dan diharapkan mampu mendukung pelestarian budaya lokal, khususnya aksara Arab Melayu, agar tetap dikenal dan dimanfaatkan oleh generasi masa kini maupun yang akan datang. Aplikasi ini juga menjadi media pembelajaran interaktif yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan teknologi digital.Kata kunci : Aksara Arab Melayu, Bahasa Melayu, Kamus, Metode Waterfall, Aplikasi Android.

Abstract

The Digital Era 4.0 and 5.0 have caused various new challenges and opportunities in the world of education, especially in Islamic education which has an important role in shaping students' character. This study aims to investigate the contribution of Islamic education to the formation of students' character in the digital era and identify the various challenges that arise. The method used is a literature study with an analysis of relevant literature. The results of the study show that Islamic education not only instills moral and ethical values, but also acts as a tool for unverified information. Although there are challenges such as inequality in access to technology and the possibility of spreading misinformation, Islamic education is able to utilize digital technology to improve the quality of the learning process.
