Abstract

This research seeks to examine the relationship between Alertness Entrepreneurship and Parental Income as it pertains to the entrepreneurial aspirations of Economics and Business Faculty students, Universitas Negeri Padang. Based on initial observations, students tend to choose seeking employment after graduation rather than becoming entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurial intention is a strong desire to engage in entrepreneurial activities, backed by a variety of internal and external variables, including as Alertness Entrepreneurship and Parental Income. Using the Slovin formula and the purposive sampling approach, a sample size of 100 was calculated for the research, which covered a population of 3,001 pupils. Questionnaires served to collect information that was subsequently evaluated with descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression. Both Alertness Entrepreneurship and Parental Income significantly impact entrepreneurial inclinations, according to the data. With an adjusted R-squared value of 0.410, these two variables account for 41% of the variation in entrepreneurial ambitions, however the remaining 59% are affected by other factors that are not covered in this research.

Abstract

Marketplace system is a means of meeting sellers and buyers online, in this case service providers and car renters. With this information system, renters no longer need to bother looking for the required car that matches the criteria, and service providers are also easier in marketing and expanding their marketing reach. This system was built using the RAD (Rapid Application Development) method of development which allows customers to place orders, select vehicles, eliminating complexity in the traditional process involving visits to rentals. In car rental services there are several problems that need to be resolved. First, there is no web-based information system service that makes it easy for customers to access car rental service company information. Second, conventional services are still fairly slow. Currently, reservations are made in two ways, namely coming to the place or contacting the telephone number on Whatsapp so that prospective tenants have to wait for a response from the rental provider to get information about prices and available cars. Therefore, a car rental information system is needed that specifically serves fleet rental with online booking to display transaction information in the form of car rental and return on the system dashboard to support strategic purposes. This research focuses on building a car rental information system using the PHP programming language with the CodeIgniter framework.

Abstract

This study examines the application of the Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique (SMOTE) to addressclass imbalance within a dataset used for predicting high school major selection. The dataset comprises 468 traininginstances, including 306 labeled as 'IPA' and 162 labeled as 'IPS'. Despite the implementation of SMOTE, the results revealno significant enhancement in the predictive performance of the models, as both the SMOTE and non-SMOTE modelsachieved an accuracy of 100%, an F1-score of 100%, and a recall of 100%. This finding suggests that other factors, suchas the selection of relevant features, hyperparameter tuning, and model complexity, may have a more substantial impact onprediction performance. Additionally, the study proposes several recommendations for future research, includingconducting a more in-depth feature analysis, exploring alternative classification algorithms with advanced class imbalancehandling mechanisms, and performing meticulous hyperparameter optimization to improve overall model performance.

Abstract

Sexual violence is a serious issue affecting women and children across various regions of Indonesia, including Bengkalis Island. Victims of sexual violence require optimal support in handling and prosecuting perpetrators. Currently, reporting requires direct visits to the Women and Children Protection Unit in Bengkalis District, which is inefficient. This study aims to create an online reporting and consultation application to enhance reporting efficiency. Extreme Programming is employed as the research method. Results indicate positive community feedback, demonstrating satisfaction with the application's ability to facilitate online reporting and consultations with the Women and Children Protection Unit in Bengkalis District, aligning with anticipated outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze was to determine the extent to which the dimensions of the hexagon fraud affect colleger academic fraud. Research surveys using quantitative methodologies are the types of research that are used.  The population in this research are college from Universitas Negeri Padang's Faculty of Economics and Business. Non-probability sampling is the technique used to collect samples. Methods for collecting data with a g-form questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is a quantitative technique.  The results showed that research indicate that academic fraud  colleger at Universitas Negeri Padang's Faculty of Economics and Business are influenced by stimulus and capacity. Conversely, opportunity, rationalization, and collusion have no impact on academic fraud colleger  there, whereas  arrogance has a negative impact on academic fraud colleger

Abstract

Kesehatan mental merupakan kondisi kesejahteraan yang memungkinkan setiap individu mengatasi tekanan hidup yang normal, bekerja secara produktif, dan menyadari potensi tersebut untuk berkontribusi pada komunitasnya. Konsep kesehatan mental mencakup aspek emosional, psikologis, dan sosial yang saling berhubungan dan mempengaruhi cara seseorang berpikir, merasakan, dan berperilaku. Faktor-faktor seperti genetika, lingkungan, dan pengalaman hidup berperan penting dalam membentuk kesehatan mental seseorang. Dalam perspektif Islam, kesehatan mental tidak hanya mencakup kesejahteraan emosional dan psikologis, tetapi juga kesejahteraan spiritual. Nilai-nilai Islam seperti tawakkal (tunduk kepada Allah), sabr (sabar), syukur (syukur), dan ikhlas (kejujuran) memberikan pedoman bagi individu dalam menghadapi stres, kecemasan, dan depresi. Sedangkan praktik keagamaan bisa dilakukan seperti shalat, dzikir, do’a, dan membaca Al-Qur’an berperan penting dalam menjaga kesehatan jiwa, menciptakan ketenangan pikiran, dan mendekatkan diri kepada Allah. Penderita dengan penyakit kronis sering kali menghadapi tantangan psikologis yang lebih besar karena dampak fisik dan emosional dari penyakit tersebut. Dalam konteks ini, pendekatan Islam holistik dapat membantu untuk menemukan kekuatan, ketenangan, dan keteguhan hati saat menghadapi penyakit. Sementara itu, dukungan sosial dari keluarga dan masyarakat juga berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kesehatan mental. Oleh sebab itu, secara keseluruhan, kesehatan mental merupakan aspek penting dalam kehidupan yang memerlukan perhatian dan dukungan dalam berbagai aspek, termasuk spiritualitas dan keagamaan. Perspektif Islam memberikan wawasan yang komprehensif dan mendalam tentang bagaimana menjaga keseimbangan spiritual melalui nilai-nilai dan amalan keagamaan yang menghadirkan ketenangan dan kekuatan dalam menghadapi tantangan hidup.

Abstract

The era of globalization demands changes in various aspects of life, including in the world of education. One of the efforts to improve the quality of education in the midst of global challenges is to implement School-Based Management. The purpose of this research is to find out how the implementation of school-based management can improve the quality of education in schools. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation studies. The results showed that 1) school-based management in improving service quality provides educational services that are responsive, efficient, and relevant to students' needs, 2) school-based management in improving curriculum quality produces learning that is relevant, innovative, and oriented to the development of students' competencies as a whole, while 3) school-based management in managing and developing facilities and infrastructure can create a physical environment that supports the learning process, the implementation of school-based management has a positive impact on improving the quality of education, especially in the field of education. Thus, school-based management is an effective strategy to improve the quality of education in the era of globalization, where the active role of all stakeholders is very important to achieve the goals of quality education and global competitiveness.

Abstract

This study generally aims to determine the leadership style of school principals in increasing the professionalism of teacher performance at SMK PGRI 1, Semarang City. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The research subjects were school principals, teachers, school committees, and students at SMK PGRI 1 in Semarang City. The results of the study can be explained as follows: (1) the principal's leadership style is inferred from eight aspects that the researcher has determined, namely: (a) the daily behaviour of the principal shows an attitude of concern, openness, cheerfulness, firmness, wisdom, discipline and commitment and has emotions stable; (b) the delegation of tasks is carried out in a fair manner and the provision of direction; (c) decision making is carried out jointly/consensus; (d) supervision carried out by directly monitoring progress; (e) school development includes the development of school facilities and infrastructure, extracurriculars, learning and teachers and education staff; (f) open and two-way communication using clear and easy-to-understand language; (g) motivation by giving encouragement/enthusiasm and meeting the needs of all school personnel and (h) rewards in the form of praise and thanks. in leading the principal using a group leadership style. So that it can be understood that in an effort to improve the performance of teachers and education staff, the principal empowers them, develops their competence, and provides motivation and awards; (2) the factors that influence group leadership style are: (a) the leader himself has personality, past experience, and high expectations for all school personnel to develop the school; (b) the characteristics of superiors who prioritize the task implementation process; (c) the characteristics of subordinates who show enthusiasm and willingness to change; (d) task requirements by providing guidance regarding task clarity; (e) organizational climate and policies can help improve the quality of human resources in the school environment

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media sosial terhadap tindak tutur mahasiswa STKIP Muhammadiyah Manokwari dalam konteks diskusi akademik. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan survei, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 30 mahasiswa yang aktif menggunakan media sosial dan pernah terlibat dalam diskusi akademik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa intensitas penggunaan media sosial berkontribusi pada pergeseran gaya komunikasi mahasiswa ke arah yang lebih informal, singkat, langsung, dan emosional. Gaya ini kurang sesuai dengan tuntutan diskusi akademik yang membutuhkan formalitas, struktur, kesantunan, dan argumentasi logis. Mahasiswa lebih dominan menggunakan tindak tutur direktif dan ekspresif, namun seringkali tanpa dukungan penalaran logis dan referensi ilmiah yang memadai. Hal ini menurunkan kualitas diskusi dan mengaburkan nuansa ilmiah forum akademik. Meski demikian, media sosial juga memberikan dampak positif, seperti meningkatkan keluwesan berpikir dan kemampuan menyampaikan ide secara ringkas. Potensi ini dapat dioptimalkan apabila mahasiswa memiliki kesadaran kontekstual dan keterampilan pragmatik yang baik. Oleh karena itu, pembinaan terhadap keterampilan berbahasa akademik perlu dilakukan guna membentuk kompetensi komunikasi ilmiah yang bertanggung jawab dan adaptif di era digital.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berbicara mahasiswa dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran kolaboratif. Metode yang digunakan dalam Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif, instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum kemampuan berbicara mahasiswa tergolong baik. Aspek intonasi menempati posisi tertinggi dalam kategori sangat baik, mencerminkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mengekspresikan gagasan secara ekspresif dan menarik. Selanjutnya, aspek konten dan kejelasan juga menunjukkan hasil positif, mengindikasikan bahwa mahasiswa mampu menyampaikan ide secara relevan dan mudah dipahami. Namun demikian, pada aspek kefasihan dan ketepatan, sebagian mahasiswa masih berada dalam kategori cukup, menandakan perlunya peningkatan dalam hal kelancaran berbicara serta penggunaan struktur bahasa yang tepat. Temuan ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya pengembangan program pelatihan berbicara yang menekankan praktik intensif serta pemberian umpan balik yang konstruktif. Dengan pendekatan tersebut, diharapkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menyampaikan pesan secara jelas, runtut, dan sesuai kaidah bahasa akan semakin meningkat. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan strategi pembelajaran keterampilan berbicara di lingkungan pendidikan tinggi.
