Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the experience of culinary SMEs in Bogor City plays a role in building organizational commitment that supports business sustainability. This study uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques with culinary SMEs in Bogor City. The results of the study indicate that the experience of business actors plays a very important role in decision making and business strategy planning. Experienced business actors tend to be better able to identify opportunities and challenges, and make the right decisions for the sustainability of their business. However, low managerial quality and high dependence on business owners are inhibiting factors in the formation of independent and sustainable organizations. This affects the ability of businesses to manage human resources and efficient operational processes. In addition, the study also revealed that business actors tend to under-utilize past experiences as a reflection for improvement, which can cause the same mistakes to be repeated. Therefore, the results of this study emphasize the importance of developing managerial skills, increasing reflection on past experiences, and effective human resource management to strengthen organizational commitment. All of these factors are very important to support the sustainability of culinary SMEs in Bogor City.

Abstract

Public service institutions, particularly immigration checkpoints, are facing increasing demands for efficiency and professionalism, making employee performance a critical concern. In this context, leadership style and job design are considered key drivers in enhancing workforce effectiveness. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of transformational leadership and the optimization of job characteristics in improving employee performance at the Soekarno-Hatta Immigration Checkpoint (TPI) under the Directorate General of Immigration. A quantitative research approach was employed using a survey method, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to TPI employees and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that transformational leadership significantly contributes to employee performance by offering inspiration, motivation, and individualized support. Additionally, job characteristics such as skill variety, autonomy, and feedback also have a strong positive effect on enhancing employee engagement and responsibility. Furthermore, both variables collectively exert a significant influence on performance improvement. The study concludes that the synergy between inspirational leadership and well-designed job structures is essential for achieving optimal employee outcomes. These insights offer practical implications for strategic human resource management within public sector organizations.

Abstract

Nurse performance is a crucial factor in determining the quality of health services at community health centers. This study aims to develop strategies to improve nurse performance by strengthening job characteristics, personality, and satisfaction. A mixed methods approach combined a quantitative survey of 141 Puskesmas nurses in South Tangerang City and qualitative analysis through the Delphi technique with Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Quantitative analysis was performed using path analysis to test the direct and indirect effects between variables and the Sobel test to assess the mediating role of job satisfaction. The results showed that job characteristics, personality, and satisfaction directly, positively, and significantly affected nurse performance. Job characteristics and personality were also found to influence job satisfaction, while the mediating role of job satisfaction, although significant, was not stronger than the direct effect. Qualitative findings through Delphi–FGD supported the quantitative results by showing consistency between nurses' perceptions in the survey and their field experiences, thereby strengthening the validity of the findings. This study concludes that strategies to improve nurse performance in Puskesmas can be directed through three main focuses: strengthening job design, fostering upbeat personality, and increasing job satisfaction. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of human resource management in the health sector, while providing a practical basis for policymakers in designing interventions to improve service quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze strategies for improving the performance of community health center nurses in South Tangerang City by strengthening job characteristics, personality, and job satisfaction. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 141 nurses from seven subdistricts, including Serpong, North Serpong, Pondok Aren, Ciputat, East Ciputat, Pamulang, and Setu. Data analysis was performed using path analysis to test the direct and indirect effects between variables. The results showed that job characteristics, personality, and job satisfaction had a direct, positive, and significant effect on nurse performance. Job characteristics and personality also had a direct, positive, and significant effect on job satisfaction. Furthermore, job satisfaction was found to mediate the relationship between job characteristics and personality on performance, although the mediating effect was not stronger than the direct effect. These findings confirm that job satisfaction plays an important role as a mechanism in bridging individual and job factors with performance, although its effectiveness as a mediator is partial. Theoretically, this study expands the understanding of the causal relationship between variables in the context of primary health care. Practically, the research results can be used as a basis for Puskesmas management to design policies to improve nurse performance through strengthening job design, personality development, and strategies to increase job satisfaction.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to form the minds of employees who have low self-efficacy so that they are more productive at work according to gender, age and workload. It also aims to identify and analyze the effect of self-efficacy and employee empowerment on civic organizational behaviour through job satisfaction. Research methodology with a qualitative type of library research. The results of the study are based on the results of the literature review analysis, including indicators of low self-efficacy, which are influenced by the failure to achieve employee welfare and no reward. A work system that is not conducive can influence employee loyalty and dedication to increase awareness at work, motivation, sense of responsibility, and quality in completing each work carried out within a predetermined time limit. Working professionally and loyally is a characteristic of employees who take their work seriously. High seriousness values for employees with maximum work performance can reduce the low self-efficacy of employees. Increasing self-efficacy and empowering employees can improve civic behaviour in organizations. Self-efficacy and employee empowerment help increase employees' self-confidence and abilities in carrying out their duties so that they can more effectively and efficiently contribute to the organization.
