Good maternal knowledge and care are positively related to the quality of child care, including children's eating habits.Purpose: This study aims to explore mothers' experiences of feeding shredded monasprest to children under-fives years old (baduta). Methods: The research design in this study was qualitative with a phenomenological method. There were 9 participants in this study, participants were not directed at number, but based on coverage until data saturation was reached. The sampling technique used purposive sampling in accordance with the inclusion criteria. The data collection tools used in this research were the researchers themselves with in-depth interview guidelines, field notes and recording equipment. The data in this study were analyzed using the Colaizi method. Results: The results of this research gave rise to two themes and in each theme, there were two sub-themes, namely the baduta's response when given Monasprest floss food and the response of the baduta's mother when giving Monasprest shredded food. Conclusion: This research shows that the response of toddlers when given monasprest shredded food increases the baduta's appetite and increases the frequency of eating with monasprest shredded food. As well as the response of the baduta mothers when giving the monasprest floss food, namely their interest in flossed monasprest and the mother's knowledge.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has put extraordinary pressure on medical personnel, especially nurses who work in critical wards. They are faced with high health-related risks as well as constant psychological stress. This study aims to investigate the relationship between the level of spirituality of nurses and the level of burnout syndrome they experience during the pandemic. This research was conducted using a survey method and data collection through questionnaires (SWBS (Spiritual Well Being Scale) and MBI-HSS (Maslach Burnout Inventory Human Service Survey)) which were given to 55 nurses who work in critical rooms selected using total sampling techniques. Research data was analyzed using Chi-square with Fisher's Exact Test. The research results showed that almost all nurses had a high level of spirituality (85.5%) and the majority of nurses did not experience burnout syndrome (60.0%). The calculated statistical value obtained a sig (2-tiled) value of 0.007 (p<0.05) meaning that there is a significant relationship between the level of spirituality of nurses and the level of burnout syndrome they experience. Nurses with higher levels of spirituality tend to experience lower levels of burnout. This indicates that aspects of spirituality, such as strong beliefs and regular spiritual practices, act as protective factors in reducing the risk of burnout syndrome. Apart from that, it is also important to include a holistic approach that pays attention to spiritual aspects in care and support for nurses during pandemics and other critical situations.

Abstract

Stunting remains a major health concern in low- and middle-income countries, including Indonesia, where complementary feeding practices are strongly influenced by culture, maternal knowledge, and environmental support. Local wisdom offers a culturally relevant approach for improving child nutrition and preventing stunting. This study aims to explore mothers’ experiences in preparing complementary foods using local wisdom and to analyze these practices through the Health Promotion Model. The researchers applied a qualitative phenomenological approach with ten mothers of undernourished children aged 6–24 months in coastal Banyuwangi. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed using the Colaizzi method, guided by Health Promotion Model constructs. The analysis revealed five themes: cultural beliefs in food choices, maternal knowledge of nutrition, use of local ingredients, external support from health workers, and sustained maternal engagement in complementary feeding. The findings highlight that complementary feeding grounded in local wisdom can potentially support stunting prevention. Thus, strengthening maternal self-efficacy, addressing barriers, and enhancing social support are critical to improving feeding practices.
