Abstract

The success of exclusive breastfeeding is an important goal that is influenced by various factors, one of which is the psychological condition of the mother. A crucial factor in this case is the level of self-confidence of the mother in her ability to provide exclusive breastfeeding, which is scientifically known as Breastfeeding Self-Efficacy (BSE). A high level of BSE reflects the mother's confidence to overcome the challenges of breastfeeding and successfully provide only breast milk for the first six months of the baby's life. To examine the relationship between this self-confidence and breastfeeding practices, an observational analytical study with a cross-sectional approach was conducted. This study involved 30 breastfeeding mothers who were selected through a purposive sampling technique. Data collection used the Breastfeeding Self Efficacy Scale Short Form (BSES-SF) instrument and supporting questionnaires. The results of statistical analysis using the Spearman rank test showed a statistically significant relationship (p = 0.048). These findings confirm that the higher the level of breastfeeding self-efficacy of a mother, the greater the probability of her success in providing exclusive breastfeeding. Thus, BSE has been shown to play a fundamental role and is an important predictor of the actions and success of mothers in breastfeeding exclusively.

Abstract

Premature Rupture of Membranes (PROM) is rupture of membranes more than one hour before onset of labor. One of the complications caused by PROM is asphyxia. The longer the rupture of the membranes the greater the risk of fetal distress. By the rupture of the membranes the amniotic fluid volume decreases and there is an emphasis on the umbilical cord so that there is less supply of oxygen and nutrients to the fetus which causes the newborn to have asphyxia. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between the length of premature rupture of membranes during labor with asphyxia of the new born infant in Aura Syifa Kediri Hospital. This study used an observational research design with a Cross Sectional approach.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the relationship between a healthy diet and the level of work productivity among office workers. With increasing awareness of the importance of a nutritionally balanced diet, this study examines how a diet that includes proper intake of nutrients, such as iron, relates to worker performance. Data obtained from 210 respondents showed that workers who eat a healthy diet tend to have higher work productivity compared to those who do not maintain a good diet. The study also highlighted the importance of workplace health support in improving productivity, with workers who felt supported by company policies reporting lower levels of fatigue and stress. Based on these findings, companies are advised to introduce policies that support healthy eating and overall well-being in order to improve workers ' productivity and quality of life.

Abstract

Postpartum depression is a common mental health disorder that often goes untreated, particularly due to limited access to conventional psychological services. Along with the development of technology, digital-based psychological support offers an alternative intervention that is more affordable and flexible. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of digital-based psychological support in reducing depression levels and improving the psychological well-being of postpartum mothers. The study used a quasi-experimental design with two groups (experimental and control), involving 60 purposively selected participants. The intervention was delivered for eight weeks through a digital platform that integrated Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness modules. Depression levels were measured using the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS), as well as additional indicators such as anxiety, stress, and the quality of the mother-child relationship. The results of paired t-test and independent t-test analyses showed a significant reduction in EPDS scores and improvement in psychological well-being indicators in the experimental group (p < 0.001), with a large effect size (Cohen's d = 2.37). ANCOVA analysis confirmed the effectiveness of the intervention after controlling for covariate variables. The qualitative component through semi-structured interviews revealed that ease of access, time flexibility, and emotional support were contributing factors to participants' engagement. These findings indicate that digital interventions can be an effective and applicable approach to managing postpartum depression, and should be integrated into the broader maternal health care system
