Abstract

This study explores the urgent need to reorient the Arabic language curriculum in Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah (MDT) toward a framework of meaningful, deep, and joyful learning. While classical Arabic education has emphasized memorization and grammar to preserve Islamic scholarly traditions, it often neglects communicative competence, critical thinking, and contextual relevance. Drawing on the theories of meaningful learning from Ausubel, deep learning from Biggs & Tang, and joyful learning form Rogers and Seligman, this article proposes a transformative curriculum model that harmonizes tradition with innovation. Utilizing a qualitative library research method, the paper analyzes theoretical foundations, national education policies, and best practices in MDTs. The findings offer practical recommendations for curriculum development, teacher training, authentic assessment, and the integration of digital and local learning resources. This reorientation aims to cultivate spiritually rooted, critically aware, and linguistically capable learners who can engage with Islamic texts and contemporary challenges alike.

Abstract

CV. Abc is a company that produces precast concrete. By using the Value Stream Mapping (VSM) method, which is a visualization method used in Lean Manufacturing to identify, analyze and improve the flow of material and information in a production process. This research aims to evaluate how wasteful precast concrete products are. CV. Abc works in the field of infrastructure development, especially irrigation and making products such as U-dith, Box Culvert, and Cover. The results of the research were carried out by dividing 7 waste into 7 types of waste based on the level of importance and performance. This research found that there is waste that needs to be corrected, especially related to visual defects on the product surface. Recommendations for improvement include better waste control, better finishing processes, and more efficient production processes. It is hoped that the implementation of these measures will increase customer satisfaction and increase the company's competitiveness in the construction market.

Abstract

The limited availability of interactive and student-centered digital media has become one of the challenges in developing Arabic reading skills, particularly in silent reading (qirā’ah ṣāmitah). This study aims to develop an interactive digital learning medium called Miftahul Aroby to enhance students’ Arabic reading skills (maharah al-qirā’ah) and to examine its feasibility and effectiveness. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which involved needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through expert validation, student questionnaires, and pretest–posttest assessments. The results demonstrate that Miftahul Aroby is feasible for use, as confirmed through expert validation covering linguistic accuracy, content relevance, interface design, and pedagogical suitability. The effectiveness of the media implementation was statistically verified through a pretest–posttest design. The Shapiro–Wilk test showed that the pretest scores were not normally distributed (Sig = 0.000 < 0.05), while the posttest scores followed a normal distribution (Sig = 0.130 > 0.05). The homogeneity test indicated non-homogeneous variances (Sig = 0.005 < 0.05); therefore, the Mann–Whitney test was applied. The results revealed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (U = 162.000, Z = –3.014, p = 0.003 < 0.05). These findings confirm a significant improvement in students’ reading comprehension, particularly in vocabulary mastery, identification of main ideas, and understanding of explicit and implicit meanings, along with increased learning motivation during the implementation phase. In conclusion, Miftahul Aroby contributes positively to Arabic reading instruction by providing an engaging and systematic digital learning experience. This study offers a practical contribution to the development of interactive digital media in Arabic language learning and suggests future research to explore its implementation on a wider scale and in different educational contexts.

Abstract

Learning is an activity carried out by educators and learners in an environment that aims to achieve a learning goal. The fact is that in schools, there are still many educators who still need to achieve learning goals, especially learning maharah kalam. Therefore, the problem in schools is the low value of students in learning maharah kalam. This is due to an educator's need for more initiative in using several components that support the achievement of learning goals. One of these components is the learning method. Thus, the researchers used the picture-and-picture Learning method to develop students' Maharah Kalam. This study aimed to determine how the picture and picture method has influenced the development of Arabic speaking skills among students in MAN 2 Situbondo. In this study, researchers used quantitative approaches and types of experiments. This study's experiments and data collection methods use tests, questionnaires, observation, and documentary. Analysis of the data using the formula of the product of moments: r = nΣxy – (Σx)(Σy) /√{nΣx² – (Σx)²} {nΣy2 – (Σy)2}. The results of this study showed that the effect of the picture-and-picture method on the development of students ' speaking skills at an error rate of 5% is powerful. The average test result in the experimental class was 86.7, and in the observation class, 69.9. The data analysis results for the t-test calculation are 8.71 and T-schedule 1.67 or 8.71>1.67.
