Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital membuka banyak kesempatan dalam membantu proses belajar, salah satunya adalah dengan menggunakan media YouTube sebagai alat dalam kegiatan menyimak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagimana penggunaan media YouTube dapat memperbaiki keterampilan menyimak cerita pada siswa di kelas. XI di SMKN 7 Kota Bengkulu. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan data melalui pengamatan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 1 orang guru Bahasa Indonesia dan 20 siswa kelas XI di SMKN 7 Kota Bengkulu. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media YouTube mampu meningkatkan motivasi dan kemampuan menyimak siswa secara cukup signifikan. Sekitar 80—90% siswa dapat menceritakan kembali isi cerita dengan baik setelah mengikuti pembelajaran menggunakan media tersebut. Selain itu, guru dapat lebih leluasa dalam menyampaikan isi pembelajaran dengan metode yang menarik dan melibatkan siswa. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa YouTube sangat efektif sebagai media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak siswa dan menjadi solusi inovatif untuk mengatasi tantangan pembelajaran tradisional. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar guru memanfaatkan teknologi digital dengan maksimal untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran yang lebih menarik dan efektif..

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana mengetahui metode bermain peran dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks negosiasi dengan menggunakan metode bermain peran pada siswa kelas X Desain Produksi Busana. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan 2 siklus. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh pelaksanaan siklus I berlangsung baik tetapi kurang kondusif. Hasil rata-rata nilai 67,41 dengan ketuntasan belajar mencapai 58,6%. Dengan demikian, kegiatan pada siklus I perlu diulang agar hasil belajar siswa melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran kontekstual dapat meningkat. Pelaksanaan siklus II berlangsung baik dan kondusif. Hasil rata-rata nilai 83,4 dengan ketuntasan belajar mencapai 99%. Dengan demikian, kegiatan pada siklus II ini tidak perlu diulang karena sudah melebih indikator keberhasilan yang ditetapkan yaitu sebanyak 99% siswa mendapat nilai ≥ 80. Dengan menggunakan metode bermain peran pada kemampuan menulis teks negosiasi, hasil belajar pada siswa kelas X Desain Produksi Busana.

Abstract

One of the literature lessons that is compulsory material for grade IX Indonesian lessons is short stories. The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement of students' ability to understand short stories with the make a match model. The research method is quantitative description. The subjects of this research were 27 students of class IX D SMPN 13 Bengkulu City. Data collection in this study used test techniques in the form of pre tests and post tests. Data analysis of this research 1) Students are given pre-test questions, 2) Using the make a match model in short story learning 3) Giving students a posttest question. 4) Entering student score data into the data table. 5) Interpreting data 6) Concluding the improvement of short story understanding skills of students in class IX D SMPN 13 Bengkulu City with make a match. The results showed that there was an increase in the ability to understand short stories pre test with an average of 71.5 the average result of the post test increased by 78.3. The average value of pre test to post test increased by 10%. The increase in the ability to understand the intrinsic elements of short stories pre test with an average of 72.6 the average post test results increased by 78.1. The pre test to post test results experienced an increase of 8%. The increase in the ability to understand the structure of short stories pre test with an average of 70.5 the average result of the post test increased by 78.6. The average pre test to post test increased by 11%.

Abstract

Purpose–Cultivating strong communication abilities is essential for navigating the challenges of today's workplace. These skills enhance academic performance and serve as a fundamental asset in meeting the demands of an ever-evolving and competitive job market. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Project-Based Learning in enhancing the communication skills of communication science students.Methodology–The method used in this study was pre-experimental with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The research subjects comprised 73 students from the Communication Studies Program, Muhammadiyah University of Bengkulu. Data was collected using pre-tests and post-tests to determine students' communication skills before and after being given learning treatment with the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approach. The data analysis technique was carried out using a variable normality test and a hypothesis test to see the difference in the pre-test and post-test scores of communication skills, with a significance of 0.05.Findings–The research conclusion is that there is a significant difference between the results of the student pre-test and the post-test of student communication skills with a paired samples test (t) value of 12.848 with a p-value of 0.000. There is a difference between communication skills (pre-test) and communication skills (post-test). Statistical analysis shows that the variables in this study are typically distributed. The hypothesis test results show a t-value of 12.848, which is greater than the t-table of 1.666.Significance –The application of PjBL significantly contributes positively and effectively to improving students' communication skills. Therefore, educators should emphasize the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approach in learning, which has been proven effective in improving students' communication skills.

Abstract

Improving school promotion with persuasion texts on social networks is a strategy that can have a positive impact on student interest. The purpose of this study is to explain the increase in choosing schools in SMP Negeri 14 Kota Bengkulu. This research uses qualitative descriptive method, this research was conducted at SMP Negeri 14 Kota Bengkulu. This data collection was carried out through observation techniques by coming directly to SMP Negeri 14 Kota Bengkulu schools, conducting in-depth interviews with survey subjects, namely appointed teachers and documentary surveys in the form of photo or video documentation. The use of social media such as Instagram has proven effective in increasing students' interest in school. The use of social media as a sales promotion tool has also proven effective in increasing sales as well as proven effective in increasing sales of online store products. In education, the use of social media as a recruitment tool has been shown to have a significant impact on student engagement.

Abstract

Background:  The Merdeka Curriculum provides freedom for teachers to choose flexible learning methods, including the use of project-based learning (PjBL). However, many teachers still face difficulties in designing project-based teaching materials that are in accordance with this curriculum.Aims:  This research aims to empower Indonesian teachers in Bengkulu through project-based teaching material development training, which can improve their skills in implementing the Independent Curriculum.Methods:  This service activity involved lectures, discussions, and demonstrations to 20 teachers who are members of MGMP Indonesian at SMP-MTs Bengkulu. The training is focused on the development of project-based teaching materials and their application in learning.Results:  The majority of participants gave a very positive response, reaching 94.4%. Only 5.6% of participants were in a position of Doubt, and none expressed Disagree or strongly disagree. showed that the participants considered the training approach to be very relevant to the need to be able to improve understanding and skills in compiling project-based teaching materials.Conclusion: This training succeeded in empowering Indonesian teachers in Bengkulu, strengthening the implementation of the Independent Curriculum, and improving the quality of project-based learning in schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan fungsi tindak tutur asertif dalam novel Septihan karya Poppi Pertiwi.Kajian ini berlandaskan pada teori tindak tutur ilokusi dari Searle yang mengklasifikasikan tindak tutur asertif sebagai tuturan yang menyampaikan informasi, keyakinan, atau opini penutur secara tegas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik baca, simak, dan catat terhadap data berupa kutipan percakapan dalam novel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 350 data tindak tutur asertif yang terbagi ke dalam lima bentuk, yaitu menyatakan (89 data), mengeluh (70 data), menuntut (78 data), membanggakan (45 data), dan melaporkan (68 data). Fungsi utama tindak tutur asertif dalam novel ini antara lain untuk mengungkapkan sikap tokoh, membentuk karakter, serta mendukung perkembangan alur cerita. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa tindak tutur asertif memiliki peran strategis dalam membangun dinamika komunikasi antartokoh dalam karya sastra. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memperkaya kajian pragmatik, khususnya dalam konteks analisis bahasa sastra. Kata Kunci: Bahasa Sastra, Novel Septihan, Tindak Tutur Asertif

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, kendala yang dihadapi dan solusi pembelajaran keterampilan menulis cerita dengan media audio visual di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (Smp) Negeri 10 Bengkulu Selatan Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Strategi penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan studi kasus terpancang tunggal. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini, yaitu siswa kelas VII Smp Negeri 10 Bengkulu selatan Wawancara, observasi, juga analisis dokumen sebagai teknik mengumpulkan data. Keabsahan data (validitas) menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber dan metode. Teknik analisis mengadopsi model analisis interaktif yang dilalui dengan jalur kegiatan: reduksi data, sajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru telah menyiapkan perencanaan pembelajaran dengan cukup lengkap. Guru kelas telah melakukan pelaksanaan dengan cukup baik, produktif, dan efisien. Tantangan yang dihadirkan pembelajaran ini antara lain kesulitan siswa menemukan kosakata dan diksi menulis cerita, minat siswa masih rendah, penggunaan audio visual kurang kreatif, kurangnya guru dalam penguasaan kelas dan materi. Kendala tersebut diatasi dengan guru memperbanyak buku sumber belajar baik dari majalah maupun internet, guru merancang pembelajaran yang dapat menarik minat siswa dan guru merancang rencana pembelajaran yang seefektif mungkin, pengadaan alat yang dapat menunjang keberhasilan tujuan pembelajaran. Temuan ini juga memperkuat pendapat bahwa melalui penggunaan media audio visual dalam menyampaikan materi belajar bahasa Indonesia dapat membantu peserta didik mengungkapkan dan mengembangkan hasil pemikirannya.

Abstract

This research aims to strengthen the renewal of the concept of polite behavior for students in class 7 Indonesian language learning at SMPN 17 Bengkulu City. Thus, the aim of this research is to describe the types of polite behavior of students in learning Indonesian, along with the continuity of these speech acts. The problems in this research are: 1) what are the teacher's assertive speech acts in the 7th grade Indonesian language learning process at SMP Negeri 17 Bengkulu City, 2) what are the uses of assertive speech acts carried out at school, and 3) is there any use of assertive speech acts in behavior? polite students at SMPN 17 Bengkulu City. This research was carried out from 28 August 2023 to 29 August 2023. The data sources in this research were informants, namely teachers and students and incidents of polite behavior in class 7 when learning Indonesian. This research uses data collection techniques. The data collection used in this research is a study of research information or data obtained from photos, sound recordings and videos. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that polite behavior in learning is very important to improve teachers' polite behavior in assertive speech acts among students at school

Abstract

Reference Manager Tool (Mendeley) training for students at the Faculty of Islamic Religion, Muhammadiyah University was carried out with the aim of assisting students in creating bibliographies automatically and searching for references from leading international and national journals that have accreditation, especially in writing quotations. Training is carried out through lecture methods, practice and question and answer sessions led by the team. This activity was held at campus IV, Muhammadiyah University on Wednesday, December 6 2023, with the participation of 95 students from the Faculty of Islamic Religion, Muhammadiyah University, Bengkulu. The implementation of this service uses several techniques, namely lectures, discussions and demonstrations. The implementation stages of this service consist of several opening and introduction sessions, introduction to Mendeley installation and initial preparation, Mendeley account creation, main feature training, reference organization, use of citation tools, making a bibliography, question and answer sessions and practice. This service concludes that 80% of students understand well how to insert citations and create a bibliography using Mendeley. This service provides significant benefits and makes a positive contribution in preparing students at the Faculty of Islamic Religion, Muhammadiyah University of Bengkulu to face academic challenges, as well as assisting in producing more structured written work. Some suggestions that should be considered for better implementation of service include conducting initial surveys to identify student knowledge and needs, providing complete and easily accessible training materials in various formats, conducting evaluations and collecting feedback from training participants to improve and adjust the program in the future.
