Abstract

The implementation of the Qur’an memorization program does not always run smoothly. Various challenges and obstacles often arise, both from the students, teachers, and the environment. For example, varying levels of student motivation, busyness with other academic activities, and lack of support from parents can affect the success of this program. The main objective of this study is to  analyze the implementation of the Al-Qur’an memorization program at the Haji Health Private Vocational High School in Medan. This type of research uses a qualitative approach in examining the research problem. This study empha sizes more descriptive data/information, in the formof data in the formof subject descriptions, descriptions of words or sentences, rather than limited data in numbers. The findings of this study are the planning of the Al-Qur’an memorization program and in order to achieve this program, all school residents carry out what has been planned at the beginning of the semester or the beginning of the year. Both the memorization teachers and students carry out according to the predetermined program. In the implementation of the Al-Qur’an memorization program, there are several programs that will be implemented including memorization activities, depositing, muraja’ah and Al-Qur’an memorization exams. The schedule for implementing the Al-Qur’an memorization program at the Medan Haji Health Private Vocational High School is as follows: Al-Qur’an memorization activities, Al-Qur’an memorization deposit activities, muraja’ah activities. Supporting and in hibiting factors in the Al-Qur’an memorization program atthe Medan Haji Health Private Vocational High School. Supporting factors include: good physical and psychological condition, full support from the foundation, teacher attention, certificates or rewards, motivation, and age. In hibiting factors include: not mastering the makharijul huruf and the science of tajwid, not repeating memorization, limited time allocation for teaching and learning activities  tomemorize the Al-Qur’an.

Abstract

This study aims to develop the PANIPAT (Papan Nilai Tempat) learning media to improve students’ critical thinking skills that is valid, practical, and effective. This study is based on the importance of students’ critical thinking skills, as with critical thinking skills, students can think rationally and make the best choices for themselves.This study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model. The instruments used included expert validation sheets, questionnaires, and critical thinking skills test sheets. The results of this study showed that the PANIPAT media was considered highly feasible for use, with an average validation score of 87.15%, categorized as feasible. The average score from teacher and student questionnaires was 96.4%, which is classified as very practical. In addition, the N-Gain result was 66%, which is classified as effective. The conclusion of this study indicates that the PANIPAT media is capable of making a significant contribution to improving students’ critical thinking skills, particularly in mathematics learning

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangan lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) berbasis guided inquiry pada materi sistem saraf. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juli 2024 di SMA Negeri 1 Batang Kuis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) model Thiagarajan (4D). Instrumen penelitian yaitu lembar angket, untuk validator ahli materi, validato ahli media, pendidik, peserta didik, kepraktisan dan uji kelayakan. Subjek uji coba pada penelitian yaitu 29 peserta didik dari kelas XI IPA 4 SMA Negeri 1 Batang Kuis untuk mengetahui penilaian LKPD melalui angket respon peserta didik dan uji kepraktisan untuk mengetahui kepraktisan LKPD kepada 10 peserta didik melalui angket uji kepraktisan. Hasil validasi oleh ahli materi diperoleh presentase 91,1%. Hasil validasi oleh ahli media diperoleh presentase 95,5% atas kriteria sangat layak. Hasil respon pendidik diperoleh presentase 92,1% atas kriteria sangat layak. Hasil respon peserta didik terhadap LKPD diperoleh presentase 88,5%. atas kriteria sangat layak. Hasil uji kepraktisan diperoleh presentase 93,7% atas kriteria sangat praktis. Hasil dari keefektifan diperoleh dari ketuntasan belajar mencapai nilai KKM yaitu 80 diperoleh presentase 93,1% berada pada kriteria sangat efektif. Dengan demikian, lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD) berbasis guided inquiry pada materi sistem saraf sudah layak dipergunakan pada saat proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study addresses the problem of low critical thinking skills among elementary school students, particularly in science learning about the circulatory system. The research aimed to examine the effectiveness of the role-playing learning model in improving fifth-grade students’ critical thinking abilities. A quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group was applied, involving 50 students divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected using pre-tests and post-tests, analyzed through normality, homogeneity, and independent t-tests with SPSS software. The results indicated that the experimental group, which engaged in role-playing activities, showed a significant increase in critical thinking scores from 48.80 to 82.80, compared to the control group, whose scores increased from 28.60 to 63.20. The t-test analysis confirmed a significant difference between the two groups. These findings suggest that role-playing is an effective instructional model to enhance students’ critical thinking skills, especially in understanding complex biological concepts such as the circulatory system.

Abstract

The problem of this research is the low natural science learning outcomes of elementary school students caused by student-centered learning and the inadequate use of teaching materials. This study aims to determine the effect of the problem-based learning model assisted by electronic student worksheets based on liveworksheet on natural science learning outcomes. This study uses a quantitative approach with a nonequivalent control group design. The research sample consists of fifth-grade students from SD Muhammadiyah 29 Sunggal. Data was collected through pretest and posttest, and analyzed using normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test through Independent Samples t-test. The results show that the average posttest score of the experimental class was 86.08, higher than the control class at 76.33. The t-test resulted in a significant value of p < 0.001 with a mean difference of -9.747 and a 95% confidence interval (-14.095 to -5.398), indicating a significant difference. Based on the data analysis results, it is stated that the problem-based learning model assisted by electronic student worksheets has an impact on improving the learning outcomes of 5th-grade elementary school students in science learning. These findings support the development of student-centered science education aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum

Abstract

Urgensi penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman anak usia sekolah dasar di Desa Perteguhan, Kecamatan Simpang 4, Kabupaten Karo, terhadap tata cara shalat yang sesuai tuntunan. Minimnya media pembelajaran yang menarik dan kontekstual menjadi salah satu faktor penyebab. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan media Pop-Up Book sebagai sarana edukatif diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi inovatif untuk mempermudah proses pembelajaran tata cara shalat bagi anak-anak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat, khususnya guru TPQ dan orang tua, dalam membuat media Pop-Up Book sebagai alat bantu pembelajaran tata cara shalat bagi anak usia sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan pelatihan partisipatif. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui tahap sosialisasi, pelatihan pembuatan Pop-Up Book, pendampingan, dan evaluasi hasil karya peserta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan ini mendapat respon positif dari peserta, dengan 85% peserta mampu membuat Pop-Up Book yang sesuai dengan standar yang ditentukan. Media yang dihasilkan dinilai menarik secara visual, mudah dipahami anak, dan efektif digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran praktik shalat. Peserta juga menyatakan adanya peningkatan motivasi dan pemahaman mereka terkait pentingnya media kreatif dalam pendidikan agama. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pelatihan pembuatan Pop-Up Book terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat dalam menghasilkan media pembelajaran tata cara shalat yang edukatif dan menarik bagi anak usia sekolah dasar. Diharapkan program ini dapat dilanjutkan dan dikembangkan sebagai strategi pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam pendidikan keagamaan anak di Desa Perteguhan.

Abstract

The research that has been carried out is entitled "Development of LKPD Based on Project Based Learning to Improve Students' Critical Thinking Skills in Biotechnology Material for Class problems, understanding assumptions, formulating and selecting relevant hypotheses. There are five indicators in developing critical thinking, namely; formulate the main problem, reveal existing facts, choose logical arguments, detect different points of view and draw conclusions. This research aims to improve students' critical thinking skills at DHARMAWANGSA MEDAN PRIVATE HIGH SCHOOL in Biology learning. Research Methodology uses Research and Development. The research population was class XII students at DHARMAWANGSA PRIVATE SMA with a sample size of 32 students. Data collection techniques use LKPD, observation sheets and documentation. Data analysis techniques use the level of validity, level of practicality and level of effectiveness. The research results showed that the Validity Level was 85.5% in the very strong category, the Practicality Level was 71.0% in the practical category and the Effectiveness Level was 56.6% in the quite practical category at DHARMAWANGSA MEDAN PRIVATE HIGH SCHOOL. Based on the research above, it can be concluded that the overall level of validity, level of practicality and level of effectiveness of students at DHARMAWANGSA MEDAN PRIVATE HIGH SCHOOL in biology learning is in the good category, although there are still skill aspects below the average percentage value. So this indicates that students are able to face challenges in students' critical thinking skills in the Project Based Learning model
