Abstract

Transformers have a lengthy service life of 30 to 40 years and are used to transfer electrical power to distribution and transmission systems. The great efficiency and low losses of this static electricity machine are two of its advantages. can aid in lowering greenhouse gas emissions and protecting the environment. While transformers can experience several losses, two main types of losses typically arise: 1. Ohmic or copper losses; and 2. Core or iron losses. This study compares the benefits of low-loss transformers (143 kW) to high-loss transformers (258 kW). It focuses solely on the design and environmental aspects of copper losses (also known as load losses) and core losses (sometimes known as no-load losses). This study's methodology combines qualitative and quantitative methods with a case study of a 30/60 MVA transformer with a voltage rating of 150/20 kV and a mineral oil cooling system. The study concludes is that low-loss transformer design is important, this results in an efficiency increase from 99.57% to 99.80%, losses of 55.4% lower, and an approximate 25% increase in total weight. Environmentally speaking, it can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 31,347.87 tCO2e, making it more cost-effective, competitive, and environmentally friendly than transformers with 258 kW of total losses

Abstract

Every company, including PT, has goals they'd like to accomplish. One of the businesses in the two-piece can sector is CPC. Up until now, PT's goal has been to switch products. The CPC is still not fulfilled; specifically, from January 2022 to May 2023, the product replacement time is still 42 minutes, resulting in the waste of 1043 cans, although the objective was set at 30 minutes for the replacement of the product and 800 cans for spoiling (wasted cans). The current issue is that 800 cans are wasted, and the goal product replacement time is 30 minutes. A quality control group was employed in this study's methodology (Pareto and fishbone diagrams). The primary goal of this study is to identify the underlying cause of the 42-minute product replacement time and the wasted 1043 cans. The analysis's findings demonstrated that the issue of resetting the plate is the one that frequently arises while switching out products. Several underlying causes of the reset plate issue were discovered after additional investigation, one of which was the unclear marking on the plate, which led to imprecise results when the plate was installed on the cylinder. Damages the can printing and necessitates a second plate installation, which wastes time and leads to spoilage. Consequently, a repair plan was created and put into action by changing the plate's markings to make installation easier to understand. This led to a quicker process of replacing the product (41 minutes before repair, 32 minutes after repair), as well as a decrease in the number of wasted cans (850 cans before repair, 828 cans after repair).

Abstract

Reconceptualizing Aural-Based Instruction of the Gender Ricikan: An Interpretive Approach to Inner Musical Sense in Formal EducationAbstractThis study aims to identify the effectiveness of applying an aural model in teaching the Ricikan gender within the formal educational environment of ISI Yogyakarta. Gender is one of the essential ricikan (instrumental components) in Javanese gamelan, holding a critical musical role. It is performed using both hands simultaneously or alternately to produce melodic patterns known as cengkok genderan. These cengkok represent interpretations, imaginative constructs, or creative expressions of a pengrawit (gamelan musician) in determining the patterns, techniques, and stylistic approaches when playing the gender. The chosen learning method profoundly influences interpretative, imaginative, and creative abilities. This research employed a qualitative methodology with a case study approach. The research subjects consisted of second-semester students of the Karawitan Department at ISI Yogyakarta, totaling ten participants: nine local students and one darmasiswa (foreign scholarship student) from Canada, all of whom had no prior experience with Javanese gamelan. Data were collected through participant observation and interviews. Data validation was conducted via member checking, followed by measurements using self-report questionnaires and focused group discussions. Thematic analysis used a six-phase coding framework to identify recurring themes and patterns. The study results indicate that seven out of ten participants, including both regular students and the darmasiswa, affirmed that the aural model proved more effective as a learning method in enhancing interpretative, imaginative, and creative capacities in mastering cengkok genderan. Keywords: Javanese gamelan; gender ricikan; aural learning model; interpretive musical feeling; formal music education
