Abstract

This study aims to identify the value of local wisdom of the people of Sembagik Hamlet, Sukadana Village, North Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was carried out by interviewing one informant to another. The research subjects include cultural experts, academics, and community leaders in Sembagik Hamlet. Data analysis was performed by data reduction, data classification, data display, and concluding. The results showed that Sembagik Hamlet still maintained its ancestral heritage, this can be seen from the buildings in the form of wooden poles, bamboo walls, and thatched grass roofs. They also still adhere to awig-awig and the Wetu Telu Islamic tradition. This hamlet must be preserved because it has the potential to be used as a research laboratory for various fields of science.

Abstract

Learning based on student ability is one of the new approaches in the learning model. In general, learning is based on the class or age of students. This study aims to analyze whether the ability-based learning model is effective in improving students' abilities, especially in learning basic literacy. The study used a qualitative descriptive approach. The research location is at SDN Persil. Collecting data using observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were 99 students. The results of the study indicate that ability level-based learning can improve students' basic literacy skills. The indicator of the increase in students' abilities can be seen from the increasing percentage of the number of students who advance to the story level.

Abstract

Numeracy is an important skill that must be mastered by students. Almost all human activities are related to numbers. The existence of numbers cannot be separated from everyday life. Numbers are so important since elementary school students are always taught numbers. The problem is during the pandemic with the threat of learning loss, does it affect students' numeracy skills? This study aims to determine the profile of school students' abilities in the field of basic numeracy during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research used a survey method. Collecting data using a numerical test. The research location is at SDN Lingkok Lima. The research subjects are 110 students. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The data is presented in the form of tables and diagrams. The findings from the results of the study are that students' numeracy skills are low. Many students are found who are not able to read four-digit numbers, determine place values ​​and perform basic arithmetic operations

Abstract

Numeracy is one of the basic skills for students is still a serious problem that has not been resolved in elementary schools. Not a few elementary school students have difficulty understanding basic numeracy material. Teachers are required to always innovate so that numeracy learning is easier for students to understand. This study aims to analyze stu dents' numeracy ability in terms of students' gender differences. Through this research, it is hoped that teachers will have a reference as an evaluation material in determining treatment to improve students' numeracy ability. This research was designed in the form of qualitative descriptive research. Data collection using tests. The tests used are in the form of an ability to recognize place value and a basic arithmetic operation ability test. Data collection was carried out at one of the public elementary schools in the Central Lombok district. The subjects in this study were 78 elementary school students consisting of 30 male students and 48 female students. The results showed that there were differences in numeracy ability between male and female students. The numeracy ability of female students is higher than that of male students. Boys tend to lag behind female students in terms of basic numeracy ability. Female students dominate at high-level numeracy ability while male students only dominate at low-level numeracy abilities.

Abstract

Preliminary studies show that elementary school students who come from migrant worker families tend to have learning difficulties. Based on this phenomenon, researchers feel challenged to dig deeper into the phenomenon. This study aims to find out what forms of learning difficulties are experienced by students and the factors that cause them. The type of research used is a case study. The study was conducted in six public and private elementary schools in North Batukliang sub-district, Central Lombok regency. Data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews. Informants in this study were principals, teachers, and student caregivers. The results of the study found that on average the children of migrant workers experienced cognitive difficulties and behavioral disturbances. The forms of learning difficulties experienced include difficulty in reading and writing (basic literacy skills), and difficulties in arithmetic operations and number recognition (basic numeracy skills). Several factors are suspected to be the cause of student learning difficulties, including lack of tutoring from parents, low student motivation, constrained behavior disorders, low learning culture of students' social environment, and limited learning facilities owned by students.

Abstract

Membaca bagi mahasiswa tidak hanya sekedar kewajiban tetapi juga kebutuhan. Melalui membaca samudera pengetahuan yang luas dapat dijelajahi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis indeks minat baca mahasiswa baru program studi PGSD Universitas Mataram. Penelitian ini menggunakan mixed method. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa baru dengan jumlah 342 mahasiswa. Data dikumpulkan dengan kuesioner, wawancara terbuka, observasi dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa minat baca mahasiswa termasuk dalam kategori rendah dengan indikator intensitas membaca rendah, tingkat kunjungan ke perpustakaan rendah dan minat meminjam buku juga rendah.

Abstract

Learning readiness influences learning success. Changing the learning model requires preparation. Well-planned online learning is different from learning in an emergency. This study aims to determine the readiness of student learning in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The type of research used non-experimental quantitative. The data collection method is done by survey. Data analysis uses descriptive statistics. The subjects in this study were PGSD students at Mataram University. The number of respondents involved 260. Problems in this study include: how are students' learning readiness? what are the problems faced by students? Can students take part in online learning well? The results showed that students' learning readiness was still lacking. Students experiencing technical obstacles include lack of online media mastery, no training, limited costs, and difficulties in internet connection. Most students expect online learning to stop and come back face to face.

Abstract

Lombok Barat memiliki keragaman budaya yang sangat tinggi. Berbagai macam suku, agama dan budaya hidup berdampingan di Lombok Barat. Salah satu bentuk budaya yang terus dilestarikan oleh masyarakat Lombok Barat adalah ritual Perang Topat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai-nilai budaya ritual Perang Topat sebagai sumber pembelajaran IPS di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini didesain dalam bentuk penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnometodologi. Pendekatan etnometodologi digunakan untuk menggali, menjelaskan memahami, dan menguraikan nilai-nilai budaya yang terdapat pada ritual Perang Topat. Tahapan dalam penelitian ini antara lain: pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan studi kepustakaan. Analisis data menggunakan model analisis tema Spradley. Analisis dilakukan bersama-sama dengan pengumpulan data. Tahapan analisisnya adalah analisis domein, analisis taksonomi, analisis komponensial, dan analisis tema kultural. Permasalahan utama yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini antara lain: nilai-nilai apa saja yang terdapat pada ritual Perang Topat? Apakah nilai budaya ritual Perang Topat relevan dengan KI/KD atau tema pembelajaran IPS di sekolah dasar? apa saja topik pembelajaran yang relevan dengan nilai budaya ritual Perang Topat? Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai-nilai budaya yang terkandung dalam ritual Perang Topat antara lain: nilai kompromi, nilai religius, nilai historis, nilai kebersamaan dan persamaan derajat, nilai gotong royong, nilai musyawarah dan kekeluargaan, serta nilai toleransi. Nilai-nilai budaya dalam ritual tersebut relevan dengan topik pembelajaran IPS di kelas IV dan VI. Topik pembelajaran yang relevan dengan nilai budaya ritual Perang Topat antara lain tema 1 “indahnya kebersamaan”, tema 7 “indahnya keragaman di Negeriku” dan tema 8 “daerah tempat tinggalku” yang terdapat di kelas IV serta tema 2 “persatuan dalam perbedaan” di kelas VI.

Abstract

Local script is one of the local wisdoms that must be preserved. Primary school education plays an important role in the preservation of local writing. This study aims to determine the perception of prospective elementary school teachers towards the preservation of local writing. the intended local writing is the Sasambo script in NTB. This research uses a combined method. Data collection using questionnaires and interviews. The results of the questionnaire were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Interview results were analyzed qualitatively. This study involved the University of Mataram PGSD students as respondents. The problems studied include: how is the motivation of prospective teachers in preserving local writing? What do prospective teachers do in preserving local writing? What are the difficulties experienced by prospective teachers in preserving local writing? The results showed that the motivation of prospective elementary school teachers in preserving local writing was still quite high. However, prospective teachers have difficulty in preserving local writing. Difficulties faced by prospective teachers include: local writing is rarely used, low community interest in learning, lack of teachers, lack of facilities and infrastructure, lack of literature, low awareness and low literacy. Efforts to preserve local writing by prospective elementary school teachers include: studying local writing, conducting training, and holding competitions. Local writing preservation programs in NTB need attention. The attention of prospective teachers, the government and the community can save local writing from extinction

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the academic self-concept on the independence of learning class VI students during the pandemic. Research in the background is a problem that many students lack self-reliance in learning at an elementary school education level, especially when online-based learning is enforced during the pandemic. In addition, when exams are many students who are unable to work on their own and ask a friend next to him when the exam is in progress. This research uses a quantitative-descriptive approach. This type of research is correlation research. The subject in this study amounted to 40 students. The variables studied are self-concept academic and self-learning independent students. Data is collected through the self-learning concept of academic and student self-reliance. From the analysis results using the correlation analysis of product-moment with the help of SPSS version 23.0, obtained R table results with N = 70 and α = 5%, is 0.235. While the Rcount obtained the magnitude of 0.769, then Rcountdown > Rtabel (0,769 > 0,235), meaning there is a positive and significant influence, consequently Ho rejected and Ha accepted. So, in conclusion "there is a positive and significant influence of the self-academic concept of learning Independence-class VI students". That means the higher the academic self-concept of students, the higher the independence of learning and vice versa when the self-academic concept is low then the student independence is low. Based on the results of the study students are expected to learn with self-awareness without the compulsion of parents or teachers and in learning not dependent on others. Teachers are expected to observe the students ' academic self-concept and strive to improve it so that students can have high self-reliance learning and can complete their study tasks perfectly.
