Abstract

The development of technology from generation to generation continues to develop rapidly. Providing progress in every sector, one of which is in the education sector which has the impact of technological advances. With technological advances, it becomes a challenge for every parent in dealing with education for early childhood which is the alpha generation that grows and develops with the current technological advances. Advances in technology will cause a positive or negative impact on children's education, which basically children do not understand to look for good information or not because early childhood is a time when children are happy to explore everything, one of which is technology. The purpose of this study is to conduct a literature review on the role of millennial parents in educating the alpha generation in the digital era. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with a literature study method. The article comes from data based on google schoral published in the last 5 years period (2017-2021). The results of the study show that the role of millennial parents in educating the alpha generation in the digital era is very important. The alpha generation needs guidance and supervision in using technology and many millennial parents take part in activities such as kulwap, seminars and workshops on parenting in the digital era which aim to find out the needs of children to increase knowledge in appropriate parenting, and to create good child development.

Abstract

Child development is very dependent on parenting, character, personality and other aspects of development will develop along with parenting carried out by parents. Old people were born in their respective generations, starting from the Baby Boomers generation, Generation X, Generation Y or Millennials, Generation Z and subsequent generations. Each generation level has different characteristics and ways of educating children with different backgrounds. For this reason, this study aims to describe the effect of parenting of Generation X and Generation Y (Millennials) in educating early childhood. This study uses a literature study method by analyzing articles published from 2018-2021 fulltext. The data was obtained from the Journal of Early Childhood Education and ResearchGate, and Google Scholar. The keywords used are Parenting Parenting, Generation X and Generation Z (Millennials), and Early Childhood. The results of the literature study research on the effect of parenting styles x and y (millennials) on the character of early childhood is that parenting carried out by parents in Generations X and Y (Millennials) is proven to have a positive influence. A healthy and positive parenting pattern will grow the child's character to become a better person.

Abstract

This paper is purposed to find out the role of parents to overcome the problem of dropping out of school in children and how parents deal with the problems. this research using descriptive qualitative methods based on literature review. The family is the first place for children to get education. Parents are the first and main role for children's education to support growth and development that determines their future. parents also have an important role to prevent, control, and coaching. Based on the reading results obtained, it can be concluded that the way parents deal with the problem of dropping out of school in children is establish a good communication and also invite children to discuss in two directions, then provide a motivate so that children have a strong determination in carrying out their education to a higher level.

Abstract

The period of social emotional development of pre-school children needs to be monitored as early as possible with the emotional mental problem questionnaire (KMME) instrument tool useful for early detection in emotional deviations that can be carried out on children aged 36-72 months, namely the pre-school period. The purpose of this study to provide knowledge about the social-emotional development aged 36-72 months of pre-school children. This research activity was carried out at KB Ar-Raudho Serang using descriptive qualitative methods with interview techniques using the KMME instrument. Doing this KMME is useful for parents to know the social emotional development of children by knowing if the child has or does not have emotional problems. The results of the survey, was found from the number of informants 15 children in KB Ar-Raudho Serang there were 6 children who had good emotional abilities, 2 children had an answer of 1 "Yes" and for 8 other children according to the KMME instrument if more than 2 " YES”, it is possible that the child has mental problems, and the educator can only do KMME and direct parents to check their children to mental health facilities or child development, without diagnosing mental problems the child has.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the Maze educational game tool is effective in improving the cognitive development of children aged 5-6 years. Cognitive aspect is one aspect of development in children that is important to be developed, which this aspect refers to the stage of the child's ability. The cognitive ability of children aged 5-6 years is where children can know numbers, so that children can determine the picture of numbers, can deal with problems seen in everyday life, children have understood the conditions and consistent results, and children can show exploratory exercises. The method used in this research is systematic literature or literature study, the literature used in the past 6 years. This research consists of 6 stages including: determining the title, exploring information, determining the direction of the research, collecting data, presenting data, and compiling reports. Based on the results of the literature above, it can be concluded that the effectiveness of the Maze Educational Game Tool (APE) is quite effective in helping to improve the Cognitive Development of Adult Children 5-6 years. It can be concluded that APE maze is able to help children's cognitive development well, such as helping children to practice problem solving skills, recognizing and knowing numbers, recognizing and mentioning number symbols and children can know various alphabets.

Abstract

Pada realitanya perkembangan teknologi di zaman sekarang membuat permainan tradisional jadi kurang dikenalkan kepada anak, anak lebih tertarik menggunakan permainan modern dibandingkan permainan tradisional. Padahal permainan tradisional memberikan manfaat dalam mengembangkan kemampuan sosial anak. Tujuan penelitian ini berusaha menjelaskan tentang permainan tradisional bakiak bagi anak usia dini, menganalisis dampak permainan tradisional bakiak bagi perkembangan kemampuan sosial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode SLR (Systematic Literature Review). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mereview artikel pada tahun 2016 – 2023. Analisis data dilakukan dengan cara melihat semua data dari berbagai sumber, mereduksi kemudian mengabstraksikan, mensintesiskan data, mengkaji data, menginterpretasikan data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Artikel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 31 artikel yang diakui secara nasional dari Google Scholar.  Lalu mendapatkan kesimpulan bahwa permainan tradisional bakiak memberikan manfaat dalam mengembangkan kemampuan sosial anak, seperti melatih kekompakan, memunculkan rasa solidaritas, kerja sama, dan bertanggung jawab. Selain itu juga kemampuan sosial perlu dikembangkan sebab nantinya anak akan hidup bersosialisasi dengan masyarakat. Sehingga diharapkan pendidik maupun orang tua dapat melestarikan permainan tradisional bakiak dalam membantu perkembangan kemampuan sosial anak.

Abstract

Marasmus is a form of malnutrition in which the amount of protein and calories consumed does not meet the body's needs, resulting in an energy deficit in the body. The purpose of this analysis is to analyze the causes of marasmus disease that occurs in early childhood so that readers can find out what symptoms if the child is affected by marasmus disease. The research method used is a literature review using bibliometric analysis of literature studies and the Publish or Perish application with Google Scholar as a data base. After narrowing the results by selecting a special topic on 'Causes of Marasmus Disease That Occurs in Early Childhood', 186 related articles were obtained for review from 1000 articles from the initial search results. Then the VOSViewer meta data application was used to visualize the research trend. The results showed that the classification of analysis on the Causes of Marasmus Disease That Occurs in Early Childhood was divided into 4 clusters. (green and red). Thus, our findings indicate that the main causes of marasmus in early childhood are malnutrition, infection, and environmental factors.

Abstract

Metacognition for early childhood is crucial for optimization. The aim of this research is to optimize metacognition in young children aged 0-8 years. The subjects in this study are young children within the age range mentioned. The research employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method and bibliometric analysis. Data sources include Google Scholar spanning from 2018 to 2023, Harzing’s Publish or Perish (Pop), and VOSviewer, resulting in 20 articles. The findings reveal that metacognition in early childhood comprises 11 clusters: Cluster 1 in red, Cluster 2 in dark green, Cluster 3 in dark blue, Cluster 4 in yellow, Cluster 5 in purple, Cluster 6 in light blue, Cluster 7 in orange, Cluster 8 in brown, Cluster 9 in pink, Cluster 10 in cream, and Cluster 11 in light green. The optimization of metacognition in young children can be achieved through storytelling, planning, evaluation, discussing the results of their work, and parental motivation.

Abstract

Media pembelajaran dalam pendidikan anak usia dini sangat penting untuk menstimulasi perkembangan anak, salah satunya pembelajaran dengan metode pembelajaran APE dengan menggunakan media permainan Magic Bag. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan kemampuan Fisik anak usia 4-5 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian tindakan kelas, dengan siklus terdiri dari beberapa langkah, yaitu: (1) Perencanaan (planning), (2) Tindakan (action), (3) Observasi (observation). Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah anak usia dini kelompok A di TK Labschool UPI Serang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa anak-anak yang berada pada TK masih memiliki kekurangan terkait aspek perkembangan fisik, terutama dalam kemampuan menggerakkan jari tangan dan fokus mata. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media permainan Magic Bag dapat meningkatkan kemampuan fisik anak melalui kegiatan bermain yang menyenangkan. Media Magic Bag diharapkan dapat merangsang anak untuk lebih aktif dalam proses belajar dan meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di kelas.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dampak aktivitas outbound untuk perkembangan fisik motorik anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi literatur menggunakan analisis bibliometrik dengan cara mengumpulkan dan menganalisis data dari sumber-sumber tertulis seperti jurnal, buku, dan dokumen lainnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif analitis dengan mengumpulkan, mengidentifikasi, menyusun, dan menganalisis berbagai data dari google scholar dengan rentang tahun 2009-2023 menggunakan Publish or Perish dan VOSviewers yang menghasilkan 996 data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas outbound memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap perkembangan fisik motorik anak usia dini. Aktivitas outbound sangat direkomendasikan karena tidak hanya dapat mengembangkan aspek fisik motorik saja, tetapi juga dapat mengoptimalkan perkembangan anak usia dini pada aspek kognitif, serta aspek sosial emosional.
