Abstract

Small-scale Microhydro power plants (100 Watt) require a real-time and accurate power monitoring system to improve efficiency and maintenance. This research aims to develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based electrical power analysis system by utilizing a Web Service based on the CodeIgniter Framework to process and display data online. The system consists of sensor modules (voltage and current) using ZMPT101B and ACS712, an ESP32 microcontroller for data transmission, and a CodeIgniter backend that provides a RESTful API for data storage and processing. Power (P), voltage (V), current (I), and energy (kWh) data are displayed on a web dashboard with graphic visualization using Chart.js. The research method uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The test results show that the system is able to monitor power with 95% accuracy compared to digital multimeter measurements, and has a data transmission latency of <2 seconds. This solution can be applied to small-scale Microhydro power plants for IoT-based monitoring with low cost and high scalability.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of metacognitive learning strategies on self-regulated learning, foreign language enjoyment, and listening performance among students at the Surabaya Aviation Polytechnic. Utilizing a descriptive and correlational study design, the research examines hoe metacognitive strategies influence these variables. The subjects of the study are aviation students, with data collected through classroom observations, questionnaires to assess motivation levels, and tests to evaluate listening outcomes. Statistical analysis using two-way ANOVA at a significance level of 0.05 reveals significant effects of metacognitive strategies on self-regulated learning, foreign language enjoyment, and listening performance. The findings suggest that integrating metacognitive approaches in teaching can enhance students’ intrinsic motivation and improve their language skills. This research recommends that educators in aviation English incorporate metacognitive strategies to foster better learning environments and outcomes

Abstract

This study examines the conflict between corporate profit and social responsibility within GOTO’s business model, specifically analyzing how commission and fare deduction policies create legal and ethical dilemmas. Using a qualitative research approach, the study employs a legal analysis framework grounded in corporate governance principles, alongside literature reviews, document analysis, and stakeholder interviews. Findings reveal that prioritizing profitability through these policies results in decreased income and growing dissatisfaction among driver partners, thereby intensifying conflicts of interest. Although GOTO has initiated measures such as the establishment of an Ethics Committee and driver support programs, these steps fall short of fully addressing the legal and ethical gaps. The study concludes that reinforcing specific legal regulations—particularly those ensuring accountability and equitable stakeholder treatment—is crucial for resolving these conflicts. These results underscore the urgent need for adaptive legal policies that better balance corporate profit motives with broader social responsibilities in the digital economy.

Abstract

Meeting the needs of the general public can be met by public services. Therefore, there is a need for public services that are efficient, effective and fair. In achieving this goal, various challenges arise in optimizing good public services. This research then aims to look at how to optimize regulations in public services through a compliance and risk management approach. This research was carried out using a qualitative approach. The data in this research uses various results of previous research and studies. The results of this research then found that an approach that includes compliance, risk management, and regulatory performance evaluation is an important element in the government's efforts to provide better public services to the community. This integration creates a better environment for public services that are efficient, effective, fair and responsive to change. Accuracy in designing regulations, measuring effectiveness, and playing a role in improvement is the key to achieving optimal public service goals. With this holistic approach, the government can meet people's expectations and help create a more prosperous society.

Abstract

630 kVA, 20 kV/400 Volt transformer is a distribution transformer that supplies electrical loads at the Aviation Polytechnic of Surabaya. In a distribution transformer if the inter phase load is unbalanced there will be a neutral current flowing in the neutral wire.  This load imbalance is caused by single-phase loads on a 220 Volt low voltage network. The current flowing in the neutral of this transformer causes losses, namely due to the presence of neutral current in the neutral conductor of the transformer and losses due to neutral current flowing to the ground. After analyzing the peak load during the day of 79.92% and load imbalance during the day of 12.23%, then there is a neutral current of 181 Amperes and losses due to neutral currents flowing to the ground of 7, 26%, and transformer efficiency  at the day of 88.5 %.
