Abstract

The development of digital technology has fundamentally changed people's consumption patterns, especially among Generation Z, who live in a fast-paced and connected digital ecosystem. This phenomenon presents significant opportunities and challenges in efforts to encourage more sustainable consumption behavior amidst increasing dependence on technology. In Indonesia, the dynamics of Generation Z's digital consumption demonstrate a shift in values that reflect the need for efficiency, personalization, and social responsibility in daily digital activities. The purpose of this study is to analyze the patterns, challenges, and potential of Generation Z in realizing sustainable digital consumption in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative approach, relying on data obtained from previous research, academic publications, and relevant sources that describe the phenomenon of digital consumption among the younger generation. The collected data were analyzed in depth to identify the relationship between consumption behavior, sustainability awareness, and strategies that can be implemented to strengthen positive change. The results show that Generation Z has high digital awareness but still faces a gap between knowledge and practices of sustainability. The main challenges arise from the dominance of instant consumption culture, digital social pressures, and the lack of systemic support that encourages ethical consumption. Nevertheless, the level of digital literacy, collaborative spirit, and tendency to support socio-environmental values are strong assets for this generation to become agents of change. With educational strategies, sustainable business innovation, and cross-sector collaboration, Generation Z has great potential to become a key driver of transformation towards a more conscious, inclusive, and sustainable digital consumption ecosystem in Indonesia

Abstract

Induction motors are an important component in various industrial applications due to their reliability in long-term opeation. Failure of induction motors can cause production disruptions and significant repair costs. This research develops an Internet of Things (IoT)-based vibration monitoring system using ADXL345 accelerometer sensors and ESP32 microcontrollers. The vibration data obtained is sent to a computer via asynchronous serial communication, where the computer performs FFT calculations and frequency analysis to extract dominant information from the vibration signal. Damage detection is performed using a combination of heuristics and threshold rules to classify the motor status as healthy or ambiguous. The classification results are then sent back via the MQTT protocol and can be visualized in real-time through a dashboard. This system enables predictive maintenance, thereby minimizing the risk of sudden failure and increasing operational efficiency.

Abstract

Small-scale Microhydro power plants (100 Watt) require a real-time and accurate power monitoring system to improve efficiency and maintenance. This research aims to develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based electrical power analysis system by utilizing a Web Service based on the CodeIgniter Framework to process and display data online. The system consists of sensor modules (voltage and current) using ZMPT101B and ACS712, an ESP32 microcontroller for data transmission, and a CodeIgniter backend that provides a RESTful API for data storage and processing. Power (P), voltage (V), current (I), and energy (kWh) data are displayed on a web dashboard with graphic visualization using Chart.js. The research method uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The test results show that the system is able to monitor power with 95% accuracy compared to digital multimeter measurements, and has a data transmission latency of <2 seconds. This solution can be applied to small-scale Microhydro power plants for IoT-based monitoring with low cost and high scalability.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of metacognitive learning strategies on self-regulated learning, foreign language enjoyment, and listening performance among students at the Surabaya Aviation Polytechnic. Utilizing a descriptive and correlational study design, the research examines hoe metacognitive strategies influence these variables. The subjects of the study are aviation students, with data collected through classroom observations, questionnaires to assess motivation levels, and tests to evaluate listening outcomes. Statistical analysis using two-way ANOVA at a significance level of 0.05 reveals significant effects of metacognitive strategies on self-regulated learning, foreign language enjoyment, and listening performance. The findings suggest that integrating metacognitive approaches in teaching can enhance students’ intrinsic motivation and improve their language skills. This research recommends that educators in aviation English incorporate metacognitive strategies to foster better learning environments and outcomes

Abstract

This study examines the conflict between corporate profit and social responsibility within GOTO’s business model, specifically analyzing how commission and fare deduction policies create legal and ethical dilemmas. Using a qualitative research approach, the study employs a legal analysis framework grounded in corporate governance principles, alongside literature reviews, document analysis, and stakeholder interviews. Findings reveal that prioritizing profitability through these policies results in decreased income and growing dissatisfaction among driver partners, thereby intensifying conflicts of interest. Although GOTO has initiated measures such as the establishment of an Ethics Committee and driver support programs, these steps fall short of fully addressing the legal and ethical gaps. The study concludes that reinforcing specific legal regulations—particularly those ensuring accountability and equitable stakeholder treatment—is crucial for resolving these conflicts. These results underscore the urgent need for adaptive legal policies that better balance corporate profit motives with broader social responsibilities in the digital economy.
