Abstract

The 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are global goals set by the United Nations to achieve sustainable progress and improve people's quality of life.   In the era of digital transformation, information literacy is an important key in achieving the SDGs. In the context of education, literacy plays an important role in achieving the SDGs. This article aims to review various literature on improving information literacy skills through the Empowering Model in the success of the Sustainable Development Goals. The method used by the author is the literature study method. The literature study in this research was taken from various sources, including scientific journals, books, and other literature. The result of this literature study is an empowering 8 model that can be implemented in schools and outside schools to improve the quality of community literacy.  The empowering 8 information literacy  model includes the ability to identify, explore, select, organize, create, present, assess, and apply information that can benefit individuals and society.

Abstract

Enhancing Information Literacy Skills through the Think Talk Write Online Learning Model. Objectives: This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model which is carried out online on students' information literacy skills at the tertiary level. Method: This study used a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. The research was conducted on students of Indonesia University of Education social studies program with a total of 250 people consisting of 125 people in the experimental group and 125 people in the control group. Findings: The results showed that Think, talk, and write activities have an impact on providing students with opportunities to read, process, and utilize various information. Conclusion: The conclusion is that the application of the TTW learning model has a higher effectiveness than the application of conventional learning models in terms of achieving student information literacy. Keywords: information literacy, think talk write, online learning.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpp.v12.i3.202225

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan teknologi Augmented Reality (AR) dalam pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi, dengan fokus pada manfaat, tantangan, serta dampaknya terhadap mahasiswa. Studi literatur dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan dan menganalisis penelitian sebelumnya yang relevan dengan penggunaan AR dalam lingkungan pendidikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknologi AR mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan mahasiswa, mempermudah pemahaman konsep abstrak, dan menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih interaktif. Manfaat yang paling signifikan terlihat dalam mata pelajaran yang melibatkan visualisasi kompleks, seperti teknik dan kedokteran. Namun, tantangan utama dalam implementasi AR termasuk biaya pengembangan konten yang tinggi, kurangnya infrastruktur yang memadai, serta terbatasnya keterampilan dosen dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi ini ke dalam kurikulum. Meskipun begitu, dampak positif AR terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa, terutama dalam mata pelajaran yang berbasis praktik, memberikan bukti kuat bahwa teknologi ini memiliki potensi besar untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di perguruan tinggi. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi yang tepat untuk mengatasi tantangan yang ada agar AR dapat diimplementasikan secara efektif di lingkungan pendidikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dampak implementasi teknologi Augmented Reality (AR) dalam pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa di pendidikan tinggi. Teknologi AR telah diperkenalkan sebagai metode inovatif yang menggabungkan dunia nyata dan digital, memungkinkan mahasiswa untuk berinteraksi dengan materi pembelajaran secara lebih mendalam dan imersif. Studi ini menggunakan metode studi literatur yang mencakup analisis terhadap berbagai penelitian sebelumnya yang relevan, yang menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan AR dapat meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap materi yang abstrak atau kompleks, meningkatkan retensi informasi, serta memotivasi mereka untuk lebih aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa AR memiliki dampak signifikan dalam berbagai aspek hasil belajar, terutama pada aspek kognitif, di mana mahasiswa lebih cepat memahami konsep yang sulit melalui visualisasi tiga dimensi. Aspek afektif juga menunjukkan peningkatan positif, dengan adanya motivasi belajar yang lebih tinggi akibat pengalaman belajar yang interaktif dan menyenangkan. Selain itu, teknologi AR dalam pembelajaran memungkinkan mahasiswa untuk berlatih keterampilan psikomotorik secara virtual, memberikan peluang yang lebih aman dan efektif untuk pengembangan keterampilan praktis sebelum diimplementasikan di lapangan. Meskipun demikian, terdapat beberapa tantangan yang menghambat penerapan AR di perguruan tinggi, seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur teknologi dan kebutuhan akan kompetensi teknis bagi tenaga pengajar. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa teknologi AR memiliki potensi besar untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi, namun implementasinya memerlukan dukungan infrastruktur yang memadai dan keterampilan teknis yang mendukung. Studi ini juga merekomendasikan penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai dampak jangka panjang dari penggunaan AR dalam pendidikan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of Instagram social media management on improving the reputation of the West Bandung Regency Government. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman analysis model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the management of the Instagram account @prokompim_kbb is aimed at building and enhancing the positive image of the West Bandung Regency Government. The strategies employed are based on Chris Heuer's 4C theory, namely: Context, Communications, Collaborations, and Connections. First, context plays a crucial role in message formation, specifically how narratives and captions are crafted using appropriate and effective language to align with the information being conveyed. Second, communications emphasize the importance of internal communication before content is published to ensure the content and purpose of the message are consistent. Third, collaborations are carried out through cooperation between the @prokompim_kbb admin and all regional and village government agencies in producing relevant content. Fourth, connections are established by forming WhatsApp groups and conducting technical guidance sessions with social media administrators at the regional and village levels to strengthen communication networks and social media management capabilities. Overall, social media management based on the 4C concept has proven effective in supporting efforts to enhance the reputation of local governments through digital platforms.

Abstract

Representation of forms of political discourse is often carried out by politicians on various occasions. This is done as an implementation of a form of planned communication action to create the effect of favoring the public towards a figure or a political view. One of the opportunities used to represent a form of political communication is the case of the Rempang Island dispute. In this case, it can be seen that many of the responses given by various politicians took the form of siding with the community and were reported in online mass media. In this regard, in this study the researcher attempts to describe the forms of political communication actions, both carried out by individuals and community groups who responded to dispute cases on Rempang Island. In this research, the theory used is Norman Fairclough's theory of critical discourse analysis. This theory is used to see ongoing political communication practices through the dimensions of text, discourse practice, and sociocultural practice that form the background of the text or to see the original reality that makes the discourse emerge. Meanwhile, the data source for this research is news in online mass media regarding the Rempang case for the period July-October 2023
