Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of work discipline and motivation on employee performance at the Regional Financial and Asset Agency of Takalar Regency. The research employs a quantitative approach with a descriptive explanatory method. The population in this study consists of all employees at the agency, totaling 51 individuals, which also serves as the research sample using a saturated sampling technique. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires and direct observation to obtain both primary and secondary data sources. The analytical tools used include validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity), multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing with the assistance of SPSS version 26 software. The findings indicate that work discipline has a positive but not statistically significant effect on employee performance. This is evidenced by a t-count value of 1.920 which is greater than the t-table value of 1.677, but with a significance level of 0.061, which exceeds the standard threshold of 0.05. On the other hand, work motivation shows a positive and significant influence on employee performance. This is supported by a t-count value of 2.799 greater than 1.677, and a significance value of 0.007, which is below 0.05. These results suggest that while both work discipline and motivation are positively correlated with performance, only motivation has a significant impact in this context. The study concludes that increasing employee motivation should be a strategic focus for improving performance outcomes within the agency. Meanwhile, efforts to enhance work discipline may require a more long-term or structural approach, given its currently insignificant statistical effect. The implications of this research highlight the importance of understanding internal behavioral factors in public sector performance management.

Abstract

Economic development basically aims to increase economic growth, reduce poverty and unemployment. Therefore the research aims to find out the causal relationship between economic growth, unemployment and poverty in the Southern Province. This research used panel data of 24 districts / cities in South Sulawesi Province during 2007 to 2018, which was obtained from the Central Statistics Agency. Data were then analyzed using Vector Autoregression analysis. The results showed that shocks to economic growth have an impact on reducing unemployment and poverty rates both short and long term. Meanwhile shocks to unemployment, have an impact on increasing poverty rates in the short and long term, and have an impact on declining economic growth in the short term, but slowly economic growth returns to the balance point. Furthermore, the shock to poverty also has an impact on increasing unemployment in the short term, but slowly leads to a point of convergence in the long run. It is better to make economic growth decrease in the short term, but slowly towards the point of balance in the long run.

Abstract

This study aims to determine Economic Growth, and the Minimum Wage affects the Unemployment Rate in Gowa Regency. data collection technique uses secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency of Gowa Regency. The data analysis techniques used are classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, coefficient of determination (R), simultaneous test (f test) and partial test (t test). The results showed that based on the results of regression analysis and partial tests (t test) the variables economic growth and population had a significant negative effect on the Unemployment Rate in Gowa Regency and the magnitude of the correlation value obtained by the coefficient of determination (R Square) output of 0.684 which implies that the effect of the free variables of Economist Growth and Population Numbers on the variables bound by the Unemployment Rate in Gowa District is 68.4%.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the condition of livestock corn farming in the Ar-Ridha farmer group in Morome village, Konda District, South Konawe Regency during one planting season. Determining the sample in this research was using the census method. Data collection techniques through interviews using questionnaires with all members of the Farmer Group (22 Respondents). To determine the influence of production factors on farming, quantitative analysis of multiple linear regression is used. The most dominant group of Ar-Ridha Farmers is aged 21-30 years (31.8%), 100% are men, the education level of members of the Ar-Ridha Farmers Group is in the high category and 59.1% of members of the Ar-Ridha Farmers Group are in in the category of quite experienced in farming. The multiple linear regression mathematical model in this research is Production = 0.299-0.056 Seeds + 0.001 P.Organic - 0.001 P.Urea + 0.021 Farming Experience. The variables of using seeds, organic fertilizer, urea fertilizer, and farming experience together/simultaneously provide a very strong contribution/correlation in influencing livestock corn production results. 73.4% of the variation in production levels is influenced by the variables use of seeds, organic fertilizer, urea fertilizer, and farming experience, the remaining 26.6% is influenced by other variables. The factors of using seeds, organic fertilizer, urea fertilizer, and farming experience simultaneously have a significant effect on livestock corn production results.

Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain how work discipline affects employee performance at the East Luwu Regency's Towuti District Office.  This study's foundation is founded on preliminary findings that point to issues with employee discipline, including tardiness, unexcused absences, and unacceptable behavior during working hours.  This study, which included 39 employees overall, took a quantitative approach using the census method.  Techniques for gathering data included recordkeeping, questionnaires, interviews, and observation.  According to descriptive results, the work discipline aspect's highest average value is found in the indication of adherence to agency regulations and time restrictions.  Regression analysis results, however, show that work discipline has a marginally favorable impact on employee performance.  Despite the importance of work discipline, this data suggests that its impact is not statistically significant enough, perhaps as a result of the presence of other elements like leadership, motivation, and the performance evaluation system.  Although this insignificance is consistent with a number of other studies, it runs counter to other results that indicate a considerable influence.  Other contributing factors include inadequate supervision, lax enforcement of rules, and a less-than-ideal workplace culture.  Therefore, in order to improve overall employee performance, work discipline must be improved through increased monitoring and ongoing coaching.
