Abstract

This research discusses the implementation of school principal leadership in character education. The method used is a library research approach. Literature study involves collecting data, reading, taking notes, and processing research materials. Based on data and research results conducted by researchers, the Implementation of Principal Leadership in Character Education at SMP Negeri 2 Pammana is implemented as follows: firmness and discipline, the leadership role of the principal as a motivator, creating a conducive school climate and culture; and the example of the school principal. The conclusion is that character formation is the development of knowledge and action. Keywords: Implementation, Leadership, and Character Education

Abstract

Tujuan dari pelatihan pengolahan ikan patin menjadi cemilan beku untuk mendorong masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan ikan patin sebagai lapangan usaha sumber pendapatan tambahan. Kegiatan penyuluhan dilakukan dengan metode presentasi dan diskusi dengan peserta. Kegiatan pelatihan dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan demonstrasi oleh peserta yang dipandu narasumber. Kegaiatn pemberdayaa di ikuti oleh ibu-ibu PPK dan Wanita nelayan yang ada di Desa Lagosi sebanyak 37 orang. Hasil pelatihan berjalan dengan baik. Peseta pelatihan pengolahan ikan patin menjadi cemilan beku bakso dan nugget mengikuti kegiatan dengan saksama. Tahapan awal peserta diberikan penjelasan alat dan bahan yng diperlukan serta prosedur pembuatan dalam pelatihan dilanjut dengan demonstrasi proses pengolahan ikan menjadi bakso dan nugget. Bakso dan nugget yang dihasilkan dari pelatihan memiliki rasa yang enak dan bau amis hilang.

Abstract

Kemampuan menulis sangat diperlukan dalam pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan, khususnya bagi mahasiswa. Mahasiswa prodi kimia menghadapi beberapa kendala pada proses penulisan artikel ilmiah, seperti kurangnya motivasi dari dalam diri mereka dan kurang memiliki keterampilan dalam menulis artikel ilmiah seperti ketidakpastian tata bahasa serta kurangnya pengetahuan teknis. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan dan pengetahuan mengenai tata cara penulisan artikel ilmiah yang sesuai dengan kriteria jurnal nasional maupun internasional yang terindeks. Mitra kegiatan ini adalah mahasiswa Prodi Kimia Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Negeri Makassar. Adapun materi yang dipaparkan mengenai format penulisan artikel ilmiah, bagaimana membuat daftar pustaka menggunakan aplikasi Mendeley, tata cara menurunkan tingkat kemiripan atau plagiarism menggunakan aplikasi AI Quillbolt, dan cara mengecek tingkat kesamaan menggunakan Turnitin. Dengan demikian, pelatihan ini diharapkan para peserta dapat menerapkan ilmu yang didapatkannya dalam penulisan artikel ilmiah dengan benar dan dipublikasikan pada jurnal nasional bereputasi

Abstract

Transition metal complexes with dithiocarbamate ligands have attracted significant attention in recent decades due to their unique electronic and optical properties. This article presents a comprehensive review of transition metal-dithiocarbamate complexes as fluorescent materials and their potential in biosensor development. Focus is given on their chemical structure, fluorescence mechanism, as well as their application in detecting important biomolecules. With the increasing need for sensitive, selective, and low-cost biosensors, these materials offer promising prospects in various biomedical and environmental applications.

Abstract

Effective creative-writing instruction demands methods that simultaneously stimulate collaboration and sharpen narrative skills. This classroom action research examined whether the Cooperative Script strategy could raise achievement in drama-script writing and increase learner engagement among 32 Grade VIII.3 students at SMP Negeri 1 Sengkang, Indonesia. Conducted during the 2021/2022 academic year, the intervention unfolded over two iterative cycles each comprising planning, action, observation, and reflection and allotted 4 × 40-minute lessons per cycle. Quantitative data were collected through individual script-writing tests scored on plot, characterization, setting, structure, and language conventions; qualitative data came from structured observation sheets that captured on-task talk and peer questioning. The class mean improved from 56.15 (pre-cycle) to 72.78 after Cycle I and reached 89.84 in Cycle II, yielding a high normalized gain (g = 0.77). Mastery levels rose from 3 % to 94 %, with only two students remaining below the minimum competency criterion of 77. Observation scores mirrored these gains, showing marked growth in reciprocal questioning and dialogic rehearsal. The findings indicate that the Cooperative Script method not only accelerates mastery of drama-writing conventions but also fosters an equitable, highly interactive learning atmosphere. Teachers seeking low-cost, student-centered approaches to creative writing may therefore adopt Cooperative Script as an evidence-based routine capable of transforming conventional lessons into collaborative workshops that amplify both cognitive and social outcomes.

Abstract

Free radicals contribute to the onset of various degenerative diseases, highlighting the need for safe and effective antioxidants. Given the potential side effects associated with synthetic antioxidants, Sonneratia caseolaris is considered a promising natural alternative. This study aims to isolate secondary metabolites from the roots of S. caseolaris, evaluate their antioxidant activity, and analyze their molecular interactions. Extraction was conducted using a range of solvents, and antioxidant activity was assessed using the DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) method. The ethyl acetate fraction exhibited the highest antioxidant activity and was subsequently subjected to isolation procedures. From this fraction, a white crystalline compound with a melting point of 251253C was obtained. Spectroscopic analysis identified the compound as 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoate, a type of phenolic compound. This compound exhibited very strong antioxidant activity, with an IC value of 6.63 g/mL, which is significantly lower than that of ascorbic acid (17.64 g/mL), indicating higher potency. Molecular docking analysis showed that 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoate formed strong interactions with active residues of cytochrome c peroxidase, particularly Trp51 and Gly112, through hydrogen bonds and hydrophobic interactions. Additionally, molecular dynamics simulations revealed that the compound-enzyme complex exhibited greater structural stability than the control (ascorbic acid), as indicated by lower residue fluctuations in root mean square deviation (RMSD) and root mean square fluctuation (RMSF) analysis analyses. These findings support the potential of Sonneratia caseolaris as a natural source for the development of antioxidant compounds with strong biological activity and favorable molecular interaction profiles

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas dan kompetensi mahasiswa Program Studi Kimia FMIPA Universitas Negeri Makassar (UNM) dalam menggunakan perangkat lunak simulasi molecular docking, khususnya metode PLANTS (Protein-Ligand ANT System). Molecular docking merupakan salah satu pendekatan komputasi yang penting dalam bidang kimia medisinal dan desain obat, yang memungkinkan prediksi interaksi antara ligan dan reseptor protein. Dalam kegiatan ini, mahasiswa diberikan pelatihan intensif mengenai dasar-dasar teori docking, instalasi dan penggunaan software PLANTS, serta interpretasi hasil docking untuk mendukung penelitian atau tugas akhir mahasiswa program studi kimia. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa mampu mengoperasikan software PLANTS secara mandiri dan memahami penerapannya dalam konteks penelitian kimia. Pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi fondasi keterampilan riset berbasis komputasi yang berguna dalam menunjang tugas akhir maupun penelitian lanjutan.

Abstract

Environmental pollution from dye waste is one of the environmental problems that is of concern today. One method that is effective, reliable, and does not require a large cost is photodegradation. In this study, a TiO2/porous ceramic (TiO2/PC) photocatalyst was used which was synthesized by the sol-gel coating method. The resulting photocatalyst was then characterized using XRF, XRD, SEM, and SAA which were then applied to the photodegradation process of methyl orange (MO) dyestuffs. Optimization of photodegradation conditions of MO dyes using porous TiO2/PC catalysts was carried out using the Response Surface Methodology (RSM) method by Central Composite Design (CCD). The characterization results showed that the TiO2 phase was in the rutile phase with a level of 10.35%. The resulting photocatalyst has pores on the surface covered by TiO2 with a shrinking pore volume after impregnation from 0.076637 cm3/g to 0.064943 cm3/g with an average pore diameter from 4.51187 nm to 4.49999 nm. The optimal condition of degradation of MO dye occurred at pH 6, an initial concentration of 25 mg/L for 120 minutes, with a percentage of degradation of 89.54% and can be used up to four cycles. Thus, TiO2/PC photocatalysts have the potential to be used in the process of processing MO dye waste.

Abstract

Deteksi ion fosfat yang akurat sangat penting dalam bidang diagnostik kanker karena berkaitan dengan metabolisme dan sinyal seluler tumor. Studi literatur review ini mengulas potensi kompleks ditiokarbamat logam transisi sebagai sensor fluoresen inovatif untuk deteksi ion fosfat. Metode yang dibahas meliputi desain sintetik kompleks logam dengan ligan ditiokarbamat yang memiliki kemampuan fluoresensi yang responsif terhadap keberadaan ion fosfat. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa kompleks ini dapat disesuaikan untuk meningkatkan selektivitas, sensitivitas, dan kompatibilitas biologis. Kompleks tersebut juga menunjukkan potensi integrasi dalam sistem diagnostik portabel dan point-of-care. Kesimpulannya, pendekatan ini menawarkan strategi menjanjikan untuk pengembangan alat diagnostik kanker yang lebih awal, sensitif, dan efisien, meskipun tantangan seperti toksisitas logam dan interferensi ion lain masih perlu ditangani.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengkaji sifat farmakokinetik dari senyawa kompleks yang melibatkan peptide Sistein-Prolin sebagai ligan dan ion kobalt(II) sebagai atom pusat. Dengan pendekatan desain senyawa logam yang mengintegrasikan pendekatan organometalik dan farmakogenetik, senyawa ini dianalisis menggunakan prediksi in silico untuk mengukur sifat farmakokinetik secara komprehensif, yang meliputi absorpsi, distribusi, metabolisme, ekskresi, dan toksisitas. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa kompleks ini memiliki potensi sebagai obat dengan bioavailabilitas oral yang tinggi dan interaksi metabolik yang minimal, meskipun perlu diperhatikan aspek hepatotoksisitas.
