Abstract

Informasi statistik yang akurat dan terpercaya memainkan peran penting dalam pengambilan keputusan, pembuatan kebijakan, dan pengembangan masyarakat. Pekon Bambang, Pesisir Barat, Provinsi Lampung memiliki database tentang kependudukan, namun belum mampu mengolahnya menjadi informasi statistik yang mudah dipahami bagi aparat maupun masyarakat desa. Kegiatan Penyediaan informasi Statistik ini bertujuan untuk menyediakan informasi statistik yang berguna. Kegiatan ini juga bertujuan untuk memberikan aparat desa keterampilan dan pengetahuan yang diperlukan untuk mengelola data secara mandiri di masa mendatang. Kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui pendekatan partisipatif, melibatkan aparat desa sebagai pemangku kepentingan utama. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, dan survey yang dilakukan dari rumah ke rumah. Selanjutnya, data yang terkumpul dianalisis dan disajikan dalam bentuk informasi statistik yang mudah dipahami menggunakan metode visualisasi dan penyajian data yang sesuai. Informasi satatistik tersebut diharapkan dapat digunakan aparat pekon untuk membuat keputusan, pembuatan kebijakan yang lebih efektif, serta memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pembangunan Pekon secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Coffee is one of the leading commodities in Indonesia. Indonesia is one of the largest coffee producers in the world. Jam is a type of semi-wet food through a cooking process made by adding a combination of fruits, sugar, without food additives or food additives that have been permitted. Coffee jam is one form of product diversification made from original ground coffee. In this jam making activity add granulated sugar as another main component. Tapak Gedung Village, which is one of the villages in Tebat Karai District, Kepahiang Regency, Bengkulu Province, has natural resources and coffee potential that supports. Coffee is the crop of the majority of the local population. Arabica and Robusta coffee types are the most widely cultivated. The level of coffee liking among the people is very high, and it has become a daily routine to consume it. Therefore, it is necessary to make coffee product innovations that aim to create a different sensation when consuming coffee, extend shelf life, and are expected to increase selling value that is beneficial to the local community. Furthermore, to support the success of making coffee jam, organoleptic test questionnaire sheets related to taste, aroma, color and texture were distributed to village and community officials.

Abstract

To prevent the transmission of COVID-19, the World Health Organization recommends the implementation of health protocols including using disposable masks. The use of disposable face masks has an impact on the emergence of mask waste in aquatic environments which results in pollution of water sources by microfibers. Degradation by indigenous microorganisms can be one of the solutions for handling waste that is environmentally friendly and cost effective. In this study, bacteria were isolated from the coast of Lampung Bay which was polluted with plastic waste and masks. Bacterial isolates were characterized by morphological and biochemical tests before the selected one being used for degradation. After seven days of incubation, gravimetric analysis showed that the mask pieces increased in weight when compared to the control. However, the degradation process can be shown by the results of Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) analysis which shows damage in the form of holes on the surface of the mask when compared to the new mask and the control. SEM images also showed the presence of bacterial biomass remnants attached to the surface of the mask. Based on the results of this study, Lampung Bay indigenous microorganism isolate showed potential as a degrader of disposable face masks.

Abstract

The use of disposable face masks during the Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in the emergence of mask waste polluting aquatic environments due to poor management. This waste will decompose into microfibers which accumulate in aquatic organisms. The combination of vermiremediation with the addition of degrading microorganisms can be one of the solutions for treating disposable mask waste. In this study, Eudrilus eugeniae, an earthworm species, was used in vermiremediation with variations in the treatment by adding indigenous bacterial isolate from the waters of Lampung Bay which has been proven able to degrade disposable masks. The results showed that the vermiremediation technique can be used to degrade disposable masks, indicated by a decrease in mask weight after incubation for two months in the amount of 0.03 grams and 0.05 grams for the treatment with the Eudrilus eugeniae and a combination of bacterial isolate respectively against the initial weight. Lampung Bay indigenous bacterial isolate helped accelerate the mask degradation process in the combined vermiremediation technique. The carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium contents of the compost produced by the vermiremediation process have met the SNI for compost from domestic organic waste.

Abstract

The certainty of village boundaries is important in the management of rural areas. The lack of clarity in the boundaries between Pekon Malaya and Pekon Bambang in Lemong District, Pesisir Barat Regency, Lampung, has led to the need to establish clear boundaries between the two villages. This study aims to construct physical boundary markers between the two pekons to avoid territorial conflicts. The methods used include inter-village consultation, design, and physical construction of the boundary markers. The main result of this study is the creation of clear physical boundary markers between Pekon Malaya and Pekon Bambang, which can be used as a reference in resolving village boundary issues in the future. The conclusion of this study is that the construction of physical boundary markers can be an effective solution to address the problem of unclear village boundaries.

Abstract

Averrhoa bilimbi is a plant rich in benefits, one of which as natural coagulant. The aim of this research is to increase the potential of Averrhoa bilimbi as an environmentally friendly natural coagulant for the coagulation of rubber clone PB 260. The concentrations of Averrhoa bilimbi used were 45%, 55%, 65%, 75% and 85%. The characteristics of the rubber tested were dry rubber content (DRC), initial plasticity (Po) and Plasticity Retention Index (PRI). Based on the results of this study, the optimum concentration of Averrhoa bilimbi is 85% for latex coagulation time of 11 minutes with 33% DRC, 41% Po and 97% PRI. The highest the concentration of Averrhoa bilimbi used, the faster the coagulation process occurred. 2% formic acid was used as a chemical coagulant for comparison. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that Averrhoa bilimbi can be used as a natural coagulant producing rubber characteristics equal in quality as the ones using formic acid as a chemical coagulant and meets Indonesian Rubber Standard SNI 06-1903-2000.

Abstract

Rubber cassava peel waste (Manihot glaziovii) has a high carbohydrate content, so it is feasible to convert it into bioethanol. In general, bioethanol production consists of four steps, pretreatment, hydrolysis, fermentation, and purification. The purpose of this study was to determine the suitable treatment for obtaining bioethanol with the finest characteristics from rubber cassava peel using three treatment variations, the pretreatment process with variations in the dissolving ratio of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) 0.5 M of 1:10; 1:12.5; and 1:15 (w/v), the hydrolysis process with various concentrations of sulfuric acid (H2SO4) of 0.15 N; 0.30 N; and 0.45 N, and the fermentation process with variations in the fermentation time for 3 days, 7 days, and 9 days. Based on the research results, the highest glucose content was 0.91%, with variations in dissolving NaOH 0.5 M 1:15 (w/v) in the pretreatment process and variations in the concentration of 0.30 N H2SO4 in the hydrolysis process, while the highest ethanol content was 68.05% at a fermentation time of 7 days.

Abstract

Plate and Frame Heat Exchanger (PFHE) is a plate and frame type heat exchanger that is efficient and effective in improving energy efficiency. Research using PFHE aims to determine the effect of increasing the flow rate of hot fluid on heat exchanger performance. This research was conducted at a flow rate variation of 0.7 L/min, 0.9 L/min, 1.1 L/min, 1.3 L/min, 1.5 L/min, 1.7 L/min, and 1.8 L/min with 180 seconds of testing each variation and recording data every 2 seconds. The cold fluid used is tap water and the hot fluid used is distilled water. The results showed that with the increase in hot fluid flow rate, the performance of PFHE also increased because the effectiveness of NTU (Ɛ-NTU) increased. The Ɛ-NTU value of unidirectional flow is 25.37% - 44.87% and in the opposite direction 37% - 68.39%. The largest Ɛ-NTU value in the countercurrent flow indicates that the countercurrent flow is more effective than the unidirectional flow. In addition, increasing the flow rate increases the Reynold's number (Nre) and Nusselt's number (Nu) which indicates the greatest convection heat transfer occurs at the highest flow rate.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memahami pengaruh koagulan alami pada karakteristik karet SIR 20. Koagulan alami yang digunakan yaitu mangga kweni, asam gelugur, manggis, ciplukan, dan rambutan, karena bersifat asam dan banyak ketersediaannya. Koagulan alami diekstrak dan selanjutnya langsung digunakan sebagai koagulan, namun ekstrak ini juga dilakukan sentrifugasi untuk mendapatkan ekstrak yang lebih bersih. Koagulan kimia yang digunakan sebagai pembanding adalah asam formiat dengan konsentrasi 2%. Volume koagulan sentrifugasi dan tanpa sentrifugasi yang digunakan adalah 75 ml dicampur dengan 150 ml lateks, sehingga terjadinya proses koagulasi dan menghasilkan koagulum. Koagulum dikarakterisasi sesuai mutu SIR 20 dalam SNI 1993:2017 meliputi parameter Po, PRI, viskositas mooney, kadar abu, kadar pengotor, kadar zat menguap, dan kadar nitrogen. Pengaruh karakteristik karet dengan koagulan alami tanpa sentrifugasi menghasilkan nilai Po tertinggi dari ciplukan sebesar 44, PRI tertinggi dari manggis sebesar 75%, viskositas mooney tertinggi dari manggis, ciplukan, dan rambutan sebesar 81 MU, kadar zat menguap terendah dari mangga kweni sebesar 0,31% dan kadar nitrogen dari ciplukan sebesar 0,02%. Sedangkan kadar abu dan kadar kotoran terendah dihasilkan dari koagulan alami sentrifugasi dengan kadar abu terendah dari rambutan sebesar 0,192% dan kadar kotoran terendah pada mangga kweni sebesar 0,20%. Penggunaan koagulan alami sebagai koagulan lateks menghasilkan mutu karet yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan koagulan kimia asam formiat 2%, tetapi penggunaan koagulan alami menghasilkan kandungan nitrogen yang tinggi. Koagulan alami dengan sentrifugasi dan tanpa sentrifugasi pada asam gelugur, ciplukan, rambutan yang digunakan telah memenuhi persyaratan SNI 06-1903-2017 SIR 20.

Abstract

Panas atau kalor merupakan energi yang dapat berpindah dikarenakan perbedaan temperatur. Dalam melakukan perpindahan panas, dibutuhkan sebuah alat agar mendukung terjadinya perpindahan panas. Alat perpindahan panas yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger (STHE). Penelitian ini menggunakan program SCADA yang dapat melakukan proses akusisi data dan kontrol terhadap variabel dependen yaitu laju alir fluida panas sehingga diharapkan data yang ditampilkan pada program SCADA dapat merepresentasikan pengaruh laju alir dan arah aliran terhadap analisis performa alat penukar panas tipe STHE. Penelitian dilakukan dengan memvariasikan laju alir fluida panas pada rentang 0.8 L/min – 1.8 L/min, dimana pada alat ini memiliki maksimum laju alir 2,1 L/min. Dari penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa efektivitas tertinggi sebesar 0,44 pada laju alir fluida panas 1.8 L/min dengan aliran fluida berlawanan arah. Dari hal ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa laju alir fluida dan arah aliran fluida mempengaruhi efektivitas alat penukar panas, namun bukan hanya mempengaruhi efektivitas alat penukar panas, laju alir dan arah aliran fluida juga mempengaruhi analisis yang lainnya seperti bilangan Reynold, perubahan temperatur rata-rata logaritmik, Number of Transfer Unit (NTU), dan juga efektivitas NTU. Laju alir pada alat penukar panas berpengaruh terhadap besarnya panas yang akan diserap maupun dikeluarkan sehingga, ketika laju alir mengalami peningkatan maka efektivitas alat penukar panas juga akan mengalami peningkatan dikarenakan hal ini dipengaruhi oleh besarnya panas yang dikeluarkan maupun yang diterima.
