Abstract

The problems in this research are: 1) what are the results of the ability to write poetry by class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Padang Bolak Julu for the 2024-2025 academic year using imagination techniques?; 2) What is the process of applying imagination techniques to improve the ability to write poetry by class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Padang Bolak Julu?. The subjects in this research were class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Padang Bolak Julu for the 2024-2025 academic year, totaling 40 people. Meanwhile, the object of this research is the results of students' poetry writing abilities. The instrument used in data collection was a multiple choice test. The results of the research showed that by using imagination techniques the results of students' poetry writing abilities increased from cycle I to cycle III, through the average of students' poetry writing abilities, namely learning outcomes tests I, II and III. From cycle I to cycle II students' ability to write poetry increased from 64 to 72.5, an increase of 8.5, likewise from cycle II to cycle III it increased from 72.5 to 83.16, an increase again of 10.66. Logically from cycle I to cycle III it increases by 19.6. Likewise, the students' learning completeness in the first cycle of students who completed their learning was 47.5%, when compared with the criteria for the level of learning completeness, it was below the criteria. Then it rose to 72.5% in cycle II. In cycle III, learning completeness had reached 87.5%, when compared with the criteria, the level of learning completeness was at good criteria. Thus the hypothesis proposed previously can be accepted as true

Abstract

This study aimed to(1). To determine students' ability to write argumentative discourse before being taught using the cooperative learning model; (2). To determine students' ability to write argumentative discourse after being taught using the cooperative learning model (3). to determine whether the application of the cooperative learning model has a significant influence on students’ ability to write argumentative discourse in class. The population in this study was a class. The sample consisted of 30 Xi students. This study used an experimental method with a test instrument for the ability to write argumentative discourse. This test was tested 2 (two) times, namely, pretest and posttest. After each sample took the pretest, they were given treatment using the cooperative learning model, then given another test (posttest), and the scores were compared with each other. Comparative analysis uses the "t" test. Based on the data analysis techniques, it can be concluded that the pretest results, namely before the cooperative learning treatment, had an average score of 63.3, which is still low. Furthermore, the post-test results of students who were taught using the cooperative learning model received a high average score of 79.2. This shows that the use of the cooperative learning model has a significant influence on improving the ability to write argumentative discourse by class XI students at SMK Negeri 1 Lolofitu, West Nias Regency, Academic Year 2024-2025

Abstract

The problem solved through this research is the speaking difficulties of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 028 Lumban Dolok in the 2024-2025 academic year in expressing ideas in a formal or official atmosphere. The method used in this research was a qualitative approach with a classroom action research design. The reason for using this method and design is that the research data are in qualitative form and are conducted in a classroom context. The aim of this action research is to improve the conditions of professional learning practices in the classroom. The subjects in this research were 17 class V students of SD Negeri 028 Lumban Dolok for the 2024-2025 academic year, consisting of nine men and eight women. The results of actions in learning to speak using image media are very effective for mastering the areas of vocabulary, language structure, the relationship between topics and content, content structure, courage, and students' speaking fluency. Based on the results of the actions from cycles I to III, the increase was between 20% and 40%. Finally, the use of image media in learning can be performed in two ways: selecting images as materials and methods as tools. There are techniques for using media that are attached to and given to students. The selection of images was adjusted according to the student's character, and four images were sufficient. Even though the use of images has been quite successful, there are still obstacles. The obstacle experienced by students is that if they are asked to use good and correct Indonesians in telling stories, they still lack mastery

Abstract

The prevalence of stunting in various regions of East Java, particularly in the Tuban Regency, necessitates targeted intervention. This study aimed to assess the incidence of stunting in Tuban Regency using diverse analytical methods. It utilizes geographic mapping to illustrate the spatial distribution of stunting rates, and histograms to represent the percentage of stunting across individual villages. Notably, Mander Village in Tambakboyo District exhibits the highest prevalence, with 43.59% of toddlers affected by stunting. In 2023, the average stunting rate across the Tuban Regency was 11.53% per village, with a median of 9.69%. Alarmingly, over half of the villages failed to meet the 2024 RPJMN target, and 112 of 328 communities (34.15%) reported stunting rates exceeding 14%. Furthermore, the analysis revealed a Moran's I value of 0.216 and a p-value of 0.001, indicating significant geographical clustering of stunting cases within the region. This suggests that the prevalence of stunted toddlers in each village is influenced by similar rates in neighboring communities, highlighting the importance of a collaborative approach in addressing this public health challenge.
