Abstract

Penelitian ini dirancang dalam bentuk kualitatif deskriptif yang mendeskripsikan Sistem Fonologi yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat Bali di Tajun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jumlah fonem yang ada di Dialek Tajun dan distribusinya. Penelitian ini difokuskan hanya pada fonem segmental pada Tajun Dialek. Tiga informan dari Tajun Dialek dipilih berdasarkan standar persyaratan dan kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tiga daftar kata yaitu: daftar kata Swadesh, Nothofer, dan Holle. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dan ditampilkan secara deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Tajun Dialek memiliki 56 fonem Dan tidaksemua fonem memiliki distribusi yang lengkap (posisi awal, tengah, dan akhir). Fonem yang ditemukan dapat diklasifikasikan menjadi: enam vokal; /ʌ/, /i/, /u/, /ɛ/, /ɔ/, dan /ə/, Sembilanbelas konsonan; /b/, /c/, /d/, /g/, /h/, /j/, /ʔ/, /k/, / l/, /m/, /n/, /p/, /r/, /s/, /t/, /w/, /y /, /ŋ/, dan /ñ/,tujuhbelas konsonan kluster; /kl/, /bl/, /ml/, /tl/, /cl/, /ñl/, /pl/, /gl/, /ŋl/, /kr/, /pr/, /ŋr/, /tr/, /jr/, /mr/, /gr/, dan /br/, Sembilan diftong; /ʌʊ/, /ʌɛ/, /ɪʌ/, /ʌɪ/, /ɪʊ/, /ʊʌ/, /ʌɒ/, /ɒʌ, dan /ɛʌ/, / dan, 5 geminates; /ʌʌ/, /ɪɪ/, /ʊʊ/, /ɒɒ/, and /əə/.Kata Kunci : fonem, kualitatif deskriptif, logat Tajun, system fonologi This study was designed in form of descriptive qualitative that describes Tajun Balinese phonological system. This study aimed at describing the number of phonemes in Tajun Dialect and theirs distribution. This study focused only on the segmental phonemes of the dialect. Three informants of Tajun Dialect were chosen based on the standard requirement and criteria. The obtained data were collected based on three word lists, namely: Swadesh’, Nothofer’s, and Holle’s and the obtained data were analyzed and displayed descriptively. As the result of this study, it shows that Tajun Dialect has 56 phonemes. Not all of those phonemes have complete distribution (initial, middle, final position). Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi tipe-tipe dan sumber interlanguage yang dinuat oleh siswa-siswa kelas X di SMKN 1 Singaraja dalam menulis teks deskriptif. Keseluruhan data dianalisis menggunakan teori dari Azar dalam mengklasifikasikan tipe-tipe eror yang dibuat oleh siswa. Berdasarkan data dari analisis penelitian ini, terdapat 14 tipe eror yang dibuat oleh siswa yang termasuk: verb tense (16.61%), capitalization (14.70%), omit a word (11.50%), add a word (10.86%), singular-plural (8.31%), run-on sentence (6.39%), word choice, word order dan spelling (5.75%), punctuation (4.79%), word form (3.51%), article (2.56%), meaning not clear (1.92%), dan yang terakhir yaitu incomplete sentence (1.60%). Berkaitan dengan sumber-sumber eror, hasil dari penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa sumber terbesar dari eror adalah communication strategy (46.33%)Kata Kunci : teks deskriptif, interlanguage, tulisan This research aimed at investigating the types and sources of interlanguage committed by the students of class X in SMKN 1 Singaraja in writing descriptive text. All data were analyzed by using Azar’s theory in classifying the types of error committed by the students. Based on the analysis of this study’s data, there were 14 types of errors committed by the students, which includes: verb tense (16.61%), capitalization (14.70%), omit a word (11.50%), add a word (10.86%), singular-plural (8.31%), run-on sentence (6.39%), word choice, word order and spelling (5.75%), punctuation (4.79%), word form (3.51%), article (2.56%), meaning not clear (1.92%), and the last was incomplete sentence (1.60%). Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menemukan imbuhan yang terdapat pada dialek Menyali, 2) mendeskripsikan imbuhan dalam Menyali dialek yang memiliki proses derivation (imbuhan yang mengubah kelas kata), dan 3) mendeskripsikan imbuhan dalam Menyali dialek yang memiliki proses inflection (imbuhan yang tidak mengubah kelas kata). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Terdapat tiga sampel informan yang dipilih berdasarkan kriteria yang ditetapkan. pengumpulan data didasarkan pada teknik observasi, perekaman, dan wawancara. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah peneliti, perekam digital, kamera, dan daftar pertanyaan. Terdapat tiga tahap dalam menganalis data yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan/verifikasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan terdapat empat jenis awalan {N-, ma-, pa-, ka-}, tiga jenis akhiran {-in, -ang, -e}, dan dua jenis awalan-akhiran {N-ang; ma-an} dalam dialek Menyali. Awalan dan akhiran dalam dialek Menyali yang merupakan proses derivation yaitu awalan {N-, ma-, pa-, ka-}dan akhiran {-in, -ang, -e}. Awalan dan akhiran dalam dialek Menyali yang merupakan proses inflection yaitu awalan {N, ma-} dan akhiran {-in, -ang, -e}.Kata Kunci : awalan dan akhiran, bahasa Bali di Menyali, proses derivation, proses inflection This study aimed at: 1) finding the forms of affixes in Menyali dialect, 2) describing the affixes in Menyali dialect that belongs to derivational process, and 3) describing the affixes in Menyali dialect that belongs to the inflectional process. This research employed a descriptive study by using qualitative approach. There were three informant samples chosen based on a set of criteria. The obtained data were collected based on observation, recording, and interview techniques. The instruments used to collect the data were the researcher, digital recorder, camera, and question list. There were three steps of analyzing the data, those were: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verifying. The results of this study show that there were four kinds of prefixes {N-, ma-, pa-, ka-}, three kinds of suffixes {-in, -ang, -e}, and two circumfixes {N-ang; ma-an} found in Menyali dialect. Prefixes and suffixes in Menyali dialect that have derivational process were prefix {N-, ma-, pa-, ka-} and suffix {-in, -ang, -e}. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan awalan dan akhiran infleksi dan awalan dan akhiran derivasi dari Dialek Bugbug di desa Bugbug. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Dua contoh informan dari Dialek Bugbug dipilih berdasarkan kriteria yang ditentukan. Data dikumpulkan berdasarkan tiga teknik, yaitu: observasi, teknik perekaman, dan teknik wawancara (mendengarkan dan mencatat). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada tiga jenis awalan di Dialek Bugbug yang termasuk derivasi, awalan {mΛ-}, {m-}, dan {kɅ-}. Ada lima jenis awalan di Dialek Bugbug yang termasuk infleksi, awalan {n-}, {ŋ-}, {ñ-}, {m-} dan {Λ-}. Ada dua jenis akhiran di Dialek Bugbug yang termasuk derivasi, akhiran {-Λŋ} dan {-In}. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis fenomena culture shock yang dialami oleh turis Australia di Desa Ababi. Peneliti membatasi pada analisis fenomena culture shock ketika berinteraksi dengan masyarakat dalam komunikasi verbal dan komunikasi non-verbal. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah wisatawan Australia yang tinggal di Desa Ababi. Peneliti mengambil data berdasarkan wawancara semi-terstruktur dari 15 wisatawan Australia di Ababi Village. Peneliti adalah instrumen utama, pedoman wawancara, perekam suara dan catatan yang digunakan dalam rangka mengumpulkan data. Teori yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data itu dari Pederson (1995). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada dua puluh dua fenomena culture shock dari turis Australia di Ababi Village. Ada lima belas fenomena culture shock dalam komunikasi verbal, dan tujuh dalam komunikasi non-verbal. Dari semua fenomena culture shock, fenomena kejutan budaya terbesar datang dari komunikasi verbal. Dalam komunikasi verbal Australia memiliki culture dengan beberapa adat Bali dan kondisi transportasi. Dalam komunikasi non-verbal Australia memiliki culture shock dengan komunikasi sentuhan, ekspresi wajah, gerakan dan kontak mata. Dalam transportasi Australia punya masalah dengan layanan, dan infrastruktur. Ada beberapa cara orang Australia dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah culture shock mereka. Seperti memikirkan solusi mereka sendiri, meminta dari teman, dan meminta penjelasan kepada masyarakat setempatKata Kunci : Culture Shock, Komunikasi Verbal, Komunikasi Non-verbal, Transportasi. This study aimed in analyzing the culture shock phenomenon experienced by Australian tourists in Ababi Village. The researcher restricts on analyzing the culture shock phenomenon when coping with the society in verbal communication and non-verbal communication. This design of this research is descriptive study. The subjects of this research were Australian tourists who live in Ababi. The researcher took the data based on semi-unstructured interview from 15 Australian tourists in Ababi Village. The researcher was the main instrument, interview guide, Mp3 recorder and note were used to collect the data. The theory used to analyze the data was from Pederson (1995). The result of this study shows that there are twenty two culture shock phenomena of Australian tourist in Ababi Village. There were fifteen culture shock phenomena in verbal communication, and seven in non-verbal communication. From all the culture shock phenomena, the greatest culture shock phenomena were coming from verbal communication. In verbal communication Australian had culture shock with some of Balinese customs and transportation condition. In non-verbal communication Australian had culture shock with Balinese touch communication, facial expression, gesture and eye contact. In transportation Australian had problem with the services, and infrastructures. There were several ways Australian people done to overcome their culture shock problems. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis jenis dan sumber kesalahan yang dilakukan oleh siswa-siswi untuk Tour dan Travel-Sun Lingua College (SLC) Singaraja pada Tahun Akademik 2017/2018. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Ini menggunakan purposive sampling dan subjeknya terdiri dari 24 siswa dan 1 guru tour dan travel. Data dikumpulkan melalui rekaman, penyebaran kuesioner dan wawancara dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan Surface Strategy Taxonomy oleh Dulay, Burt dan Krashen (1982). Ini tentang mengidentifikasi kesalahan, mengklasifikasikan kesalahan, menghitung kesalahan, menganalisis kuesioner dan hasil wawancara, melaporkan hasil analisis dan menarik kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada empat jenis kesalahan: kelalaian, penambahan, misformasi dan salah urut, yang dilakukan oleh siswa-siswi. Jumlah kesalahan total adalah 520 yang terdiri dari 43,9% kesalahan kelalaian, 30,8% kesalahan misformasi, 18,9% sebagai penambahan kesalahan, dan 6,6% kesalahan salah urut. Penelitian tersebut menemukan bahwa sumber kesalahan adalah kesalahan antarbahasa serta kesalahan intrabahasa.Kata Kunci : tata bahasa, kesalahan-kesalahan, kesalahan antarbahasa, kesalahan intrabahasa This study aimed at analyzing the types and sources of errors committed by the students of Tour and Travel–Sun Lingua College (SLC) Singaraja in Academic Year of 2017/2018. This study is a descriptive qualitative research. It applied purposive sampling and the subjects of which consisted of 24 students and 1 tour and travel teacher. The data were collected through recording, distributing questionnaire and interview and analyzed by using Surface Strategy Taxonomy by Dulay, Burt and Krashen (1982). It was about identifying the errors, classifying the errors, calculating the errors, analyzing the questionnaire and the result of the interview, reporting the result of the analysis and drawing the conclusion. The results of the study show that there were four types of errors: omission, addition, misformation and misordering, committed by the students. The total numbers of errors were 520 which consisted of 43.9% in omission errors, 30.8% in misformation errors, 18.9% in addition errors, and 6.6% in misordering errors. The study found that the sources of errors were interlingual error as well as intralingual error.keyword : grammar, errors, interlingual error, intralingual error

Abstract

Penelitian deskriptif qualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jumlah prefik di Dialek Pedawa dan jenisnya dari infleksi dan derivasi. Dua sampel informan dari Dialek Pedawa dipilih berdasarkan seperangkat kriteria. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan 3 tehnik, yakni: tehnik observasi, merekam, dan wawancara (mencatat dan mendengarkan). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa ada dua jenis prefik di Dialek Pedawa. Prefik tersebut yakni prefik {N-}, {m∂-}. Jenis prefik yang tergolong derivasi adalah prefik {m∂-}, {ŋə-} and {ŋ-}. Abstract

This study aimed at exploring the phonological and lexical variation viewed from age differences which occurred in Lemukih and Galungan village. This research was a descriptive qualitative research. There were 10 informant samples from both Lemukih and Galunganvillage were chosen based on predetermined criteria. The data were collected based on researcher as the main instrument and four other additional instruments namely: observation, interview, word list and recording. The results of the study show that, 1) there is an indication of phonological variation such asunpacking,haplology, syncope, aphaeresis and apocope, 2) there is an indication of lexical variation such as semasiological variation,onomasiological variation,formal variation and contextual variation, 3) the reason of a tendency of dialect variation viewed by age differences in both Lemukih and Galungan dialect is the development of the technology which leads to the broader access into villages and begin to imitate dialects outside of one’s villages Kata Kunci : dialect,phonological variation, lexical variation, age differences This study aimed at exploring the phonological and lexical variation viewed from age differences which occurred in Lemukih and Galungan village. Abstract

This qualitative research describes Phonological system of Balinese language. The aim of this study was 1) To find out the vowel phonemes of Balinese language in Pedawa Dialect and their distribution, 2) To find out the diphthong Balinese language used in Pedawa dialect, 3) To find out the consonant phonemes of Balinese language in Pedawa dialect and their distribution, 4) To find out the consonant clusters that are used in Pedawa dialect. The main instrument was the researcher, and the researcher also used the other instruments namely, recorder and a word list. The data were gathered by conducting observation, recording and interview techniques. The result of this research can be describe that (1) there were 28 phonemes of Balinese language in Pedawa dialect. Those phoneme were /ʌ/, /i/, /u/, /e/, /o/, /ǝ//p/, /b/, /t/, /d/, /k/, /g/, /ʔ/, /s/, /c/, /j/, /l/, /h/, /m/, /n/, /ñ/, /ŋ/, /r/, /w/, /y/ /ʌi/, /ʌe/, /ʌɛ/ that consist of 6 vowels, 3 diphthongs and 19 consonants. (2) The researcher also found 2 consonant clusters in of Balinese language in Pedawa dialect which were they are /r/ and /kl/keyword : Dialect, Pedawa, Phonological System

Abstract

This study aimed at describing the comparison of prefixes and suffixes in Nusa Penida Dialect and Sepang dialect which belong to derivation and inflection. This research was a descriptive qualitative research. Two informants sample of Nusa Penida were chosen based on a set of criteria. The data were collected based on three techniques, namely: observation, recording technique, and interview (listening and noting) technique. The results of the study showed that those ware difference: prefix {mə-}: NPD: tΛlʊh (V) become mΛtΛlʊh (V) and when prefix {mə-} + kΛndΛ (N) become mΛkΛndə (V). suffix {-In}: NPD klΛmbI (N) become klΛmbIn (V). suffix {-ē }: SP: tΛbIng (V) become tΛbIngΛ (V) and NPD: Jǝlǝmǝ (N) become JǝlǝmΛtē (N). The similarity prefix {mə-}: NPD and SP: {mə-} + jΛlΛn (N) become məjΛlΛn (V),. Prefix {m-} NP and SP: {m-} + bʊbʊh (N) become mʊbʊh (V). suffix {-Λŋ} NP and SP: sΛmpΛt (N) + {-Λŋ}→ become sΛmpΛtΛŋ (V). Suffix {-In} NP and SP: nɒt (V) + {-In} → become nɒtIn (V). keyword : Derivational Morpheme, Inflectional Morpheme, Nusa Penida Dialect and Sepang dialect.
