Abstract

This study was carried out to deal with reducing feed cost and provide high quality poultry feed for the local breed of quail  through the provision of feed mixer machines equipped with fermentation equipment.  Mixing feed poultry using machines is much faster, accurate and less energy consuming compered with manual mixing. Poultry  feed  mixing  machine  was  designed,  fabricated  and  tested. The  machine  consists  of  two function as mixing and fermented liquid spray. The  design  computations  to  handle  a  400 Kg  mass  of  feed and 4 L of fermented liquid. The machine was tested using afeed components divided into 170 kg for Maize bran, 120 kg for bran, 2 kg for mineral, 136  kg  for  Bone  meal , 2  kg  for  Salt and 4L fermented liquid replicated twice at four mixing durations of 4, 8, 12 and 16 min. The perfect homogenious mixing was got in 16 min

Abstract

Caterpillar engines need to be completely reconditioned or general overhauled after operating and consuming a certain amount of fuel to restore engine performance to its specifications again. However, actual conditions can be faster or slower depending on the condition of the engine itself and operational needs. In the total reconditioning process, all seals, gaskets and bearings are normal spare parts that must be replaced, plus other spare parts that must be replaced based on the results of inspections and measurements in accordance with the guidelines from the caterpillar guidelines for reusability and salvage (GRPTS). The purpose of this research is to find out whether the reconditioned engine has reliable performance like a new engine from the manufacturer and of course refers to the engine performance specification number, as well as knowing the engine characteristics based on the application. The research stage is to carry out the total engine reconditioning process by disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, part listing, assemble, testing and adjusting engine performance specification. And for data retrieval, the engine is tested in the engine dynotest room with loadings of 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. From the results of the engine after being reconditioned, it has performance like a new engine and deserves to be handed back to the customer to be operated according to its application and specifications with a maximum power achievement of 800 HP at 100% loading with 1800 rpm for industrial engine applications.

Abstract

UPK Bukittinggi is a state electricity company in charge of 3 hydropower plants in West Sumatra with a vision to become the leading electricity company in Southeast Asia. To realize this vision, the company must continue to monitor a good level of productivity on the quality of engine performance which must be maintained. For this reason, it is necessary to propose a preventive maintenance plan for each hydropower plant with actions based on the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) method. The purpose of the study was to calculate the amount of time for repair (Mean Time To Repair) and the amount of time the damage occurred (Mean Time To Failure) as well as determine the maintenance time interval schedule for the equipment experiencing the highest downtime at UPK Bukittinggi. Where the RCM method is integrated with the Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) method which is used as an analysis of the failure mode that occurs by calculating the highest Risk Priority Number (RPN) value on the machine and then calculating the time interval for damage as the basis for determining the maintenance schedule. The result of the research is that with routine scheduling of machine maintenance will be obtained with time intervals obtained by time intervals and maintenance actions using the RCM method.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the market potential and business opportunities for wall decorations made of metal with CNC laser in the industry by determining the market size, evaluating competition, determining product trends, and identifying business opportunities. The quality management method of Deming's Wheel or PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) is used to analyze the market potential and competition of metal wall decoration products in various marketplaces. The research results show that Shopee is the e-commerce platform that sells the most metal wall decorations in Indonesia. The sales of metal wall decorations on Shopee reached 17,830 units, followed by Lazada with 2,794 units and Tokopedia with 789 units. The most popular motif or design among consumers is the leaf motif, with a total sales of 14,600 units on Shopee. The average monthly sales on Shopee are quite high, where store A is able to sell 160 units of wall decoration. The factors that influence high sales are quick chat replies, high ratings, positive testimonials from customers, and having their own online store website. Having their own online store provides advantages for store owners, such as advertising.

Abstract

Implementasi multimedia pembelajaran disekolah belum maksimal sehingga siswa kurang aktif dan kreatif dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian dilakukan di MAS TI Canduang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan multimedia pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality yang valid, praktis, dan efektif pada Mata Pelajaran Teknik Komputer. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan prosedur pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluations). Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif untuk mendeskripsikan nilai validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan multimedia pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality. Hasil dari penelitian pengembangan ini adalah: (1) Menghasilkan multimedia pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality, (2) Validitas multimedia pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality dinyatakan valid dengan kategori nilai 0,88>0,61, (3) Praktikalitas multimedia pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality berdasarkan dua respon guru dengan nilai rata-rata 89,4 dengan kategori sangat praktis dan 21 respon siswa dengan nilai rata-rata 85,83 dengan kategori sangat praktis, (4) Efektivitas multimedia pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality dinyatakan efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa multimedia pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk digunakan sebagai multimedia pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran Teknik Komputer.

Abstract

The main objective of this research is to design a web-based machine learning model that can predict the mechanical properties of aluminum based on its chemical composition. By inputting nine variables of chemical elements such as Al, Mg, Zn, Ti, Cu, Mn, Cr, Fe, and Si, the model is able to provide predictions for two output data, Yield Strength (YS) and Tensile Strength (TS). The research aims to understand the relationship between chemical composition and mechanical properties of aluminum, and to develop a tool that can be used to predict these properties with a high level of accuracy. Overall, the goal of this study is to enhance the understanding of the properties of aluminum and how it can be utilized in various applications. This study designs a web-based machine learning modeling to predict the mechanical properties of aluminum in the percentage of chemical composition, where the input data in the modeling consists of 9 variables of chemical elements such as Al, Mg, Zn, Ti, Cu, Mn, Cr, Fe, Si, and has 2 output data consisting of Yield Strength (YS) and Tensile Strength (TS). The modeling machine learning is designed using the Python programming language and additional libraries such as Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn, and Streamlit. The modeling in this study uses three algorithms consisting of Decision Trees (DT), Random Forest (RF), and Artificial Neural Network (ANN). Each algorithm is optimized with the best search parameters, and where the RF algorithm has better performance than DT and JST. The best modeling uses the RF algorithm with optimal parameters of number of trees at 20 and maximum depth of 10, with MAE values of 11.44, RMSE of 14.282, and R of 0.93 for Yield Strength (YS) predictions, and for Tensile Strength (TS) predictions, MAE values are obtained. 21,669, RMSE 27,301, and R 0.871.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the performance of hydrokinetic turbines under yaw misalignment conditions using descriptive statistical methods on coefficient of power (Cp) data. Tests were conducted at water velocities of 0.7, 0.9, and 1.1 m/s for three types of turbine shrouds consisting of turbines without shrouds, turbines with two different types of shrouds, at yaw angles from 0° to 25° with 5° intervals. The study concludes that the performance of each turbine type is significantly influenced by the combination of water flow velocity and yaw angle. The diffuser type has the highest Cp value at every yaw angle, but its performance decreases with increasing yaw angle. The Blade type has poorer performance compared to the diffuser at every yaw angle and has the best performance at a combination of 1.1 m/s velocity and 5° yaw angle. Meanwhile, the shroud type has more stable performance and is not greatly affected by variations in velocity and yaw angle. Based on the analysis of changes in average Cp values with changes in yaw angle at V 0.7 m/s, all three turbine types experienced an increase in Cp value at a yaw angle of 5, with the shroud experiencing the most significant increase. At V 0.9 m/s, the diffuser and shroud types were able to maintain their average Cp values at every yaw angle, while the blade type decreased with increasing yaw angle and experienced a significant decrease at a yaw angle of 25. At V 1.1 m/s, the diffuser and blade types experienced a decrease in performance with every increase in yaw angle, but the shroud type was able to maintain the same Cp value and even experienced a significant increase at a yaw angle of 5.

Abstract

The availability of numerous air conditioners in the market with various brands and types often leads consumers to be unaware that the purchased air conditioner may be inefficient in terms of energy usage. This research aims to determine the most energy-efficient air conditioner based on the brand of air conditioners available in the market. The research method consists of four stages: data collection, data preprocessing, data analysis, and interpretation of results and conclusions. The data used in this study was obtained from the database of the Directorate General of New, Renewable, and Energy Conservation (EBETKE), which consists of 11 AC brands sold in the market. Data analysis was performed using data distribution analysis techniques, standard deviation calculations, and correlation analysis between variables, such as the Pearson's correlation coefficient. The results of this study show that the AC brand with the highest average efficiency value is Mitsubishi Electric, with a value of 16.36 Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER), while the AC brand with the lowest average efficiency value is GREE, with a value of 5.640 (EER). Each AC brand has a different average efficiency value, with significant variations. From the correlation heatmap results, the AC power does not appear to significantly affect the AC efficiency value, where AC with lower power tends to have higher efficiency values, but there are also AC with high power and high efficiency values. Additionally, the cooling capacity value also appears to have a small effect on the AC efficiency value, where AC with lower cooling capacity tends to have higher efficiency values. However, some AC brands have high cooling capacity values but also have high efficiency values. This study also shows a moderate correlation between the AC efficiency value and the AC's annual energy consumption value, where AC with higher efficiency values tends to have lower annual energy consumption values.

Abstract

Abstrak Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi sumber daya manusia dan sarana prasarana terhadap kinerja pegawai. Hipotesis pada penelitian ini adalah ada pengaruh kompetensi sumber daya manusia dan sarana prasarana baik secara parsial maupun secara simultan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 66 orang pegawai. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi kegiatan observasi, dokumentasi dan angket. Metode analisis data menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan bantuan alat statistik SPSS versi 21.0 meliputi perhitungan uji validitas, uji reliabilitas, uji regresi linier sederhana dan berganda, uji t, uji F dan uji koefisien determinasi. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi sumber daya manusia secara parsial berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja dengan kontribusi sebesar 65,60%. Sarana prasarana berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja dengan kontribusi sebesar 50,80%. Pengujian hipotesis secara simultan menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi sumber daya manusia dan sarana prasarana secara bersama-sama berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja dengan kontribusi sebesar 72,1%, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 27,9% merupakan variasi variabel lain di luar penelitian ini. Abstract

The performance of lecturers by students is the most important thing in measuring student satisfaction in learning carried out by lecturers. This assessment functions as a form of supervision of lecturers' performance in implementing the Tridharma of Higher Education. This assessment aims to evaluate lecturer performance towards student satisfaction in the Master of Management study program in the learning carried out. The research method uses Multiple Linear Regression with data processing techniques using SPSS Clementine version 12.0. From the research results, it is known that overall or together it does not affect student satisfaction in the learning process. However, if we look at the percentage of influence together, it is only 11.4%. Meanwhile, for partial influence, the influence that is the most important reference in influencing student satisfaction is the lecturer's ability to manage the class, as evidenced by the sig value of 0.000.Keywords: Evaluation, Lecturer Performance, Student Satisfaction
