Abstract

This study investigates the performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by synthesizing evidence from recent empirical studies through a systematic literature review approach. The research analyzes thirty-three peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2020 and 2025 that explicitly discuss MSME performance from multidimensional perspectives. The data collection process followed established systematic review protocols, including identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion of relevant literature. The methodology employed thematic content analysis to classify findings into four major categories: performance measurement, internal determinants, external support, and international comparisons. The results reveal that MSME performance is not only measured by financial indicators such as profit, revenue, and cash flow but also by non-financial aspects including innovation, customer satisfaction, and sustainability criteria. The analysis shows that innovation, entrepreneurial orientation, financial literacy, and human resource capacity are the most influential internal factors, while government policies, financial institutions, market access, and infrastructure represent crucial external enablers. The findings further indicate that digitalization and technology adoption play a pivotal role in strengthening MSME competitiveness and resilience, particularly during economic crises and the COVID-19 pandemic. Finally, the review highlights significant differences between developing and developed countries, where MSMEs in emerging economies face more structural challenges yet often experience greater marginal benefits from digital transformation.

Abstract

This study systematically reviews the phenomenon of the Audit Expectation Gap (AEG), which reflects the disparity between what the public expects from auditors and what auditors are professionally required to deliver. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on PRISMA 2020, thirty-five peer-reviewed articles published between 2010 and 2025 were analyzed across various countries and stakeholder perspectives. The findings reveal that AEG is a multidimensional issue shaped by technical, social, and communicative factors. Five dominant determinants were identified: auditor competence, professional independence, regulatory complexity, communication transparency, and public literacy. Although reforms such as Key Audit Matters (ISA 701), EU Directive 2014/56/EU, and the establishment of Public Oversight Boards have enhanced institutional credibility, they have not fully closed the trust gap between auditors and society. The study highlights the critical role of audit education and stakeholder literacy in reducing cognitive and social gaps, while recommending a shift toward a communication-based expectation model integrating digital audit ethics and trust-building mechanisms.

Abstract

The implementation of educational technology often remains at the level of substituting conventional media, rather than reflecting a deeper understanding of adaptive technology and its potential to transform learning processes. This qualitative descriptive study employed an exploratory approach to investigate English teachers’ experiences and perceptions regarding the integration of SAMR-based adaptive technology in integrated reading–writing instruction at the primary level. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis involving primary school English teachers and were analyzed using the interactive model proposed by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana. The findings reveal that technology integration predominantly occurs at the Substitution (S) and Augmentation (A) levels of the SAMR framework, with limited evidence of modification or redefinition in instructional practices. This indicates that the transformative potential of SAMR-based adaptive technology has not yet been optimally realized in integrated primary literacy instruction. Strengthening teachers’ digital pedagogical competencies and reconceptualizing technology integration as a means of restructuring learning processes are therefore essential to support more meaningful, contextually relevant literacy learning aligned with 21st-century educational demands.

Abstract

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a central role in Indonesia’s economy, yet access to finance remains a persistent constraint for their growth and resilience. This study aims to map the profile of MSMEs and identify gaps in access to financing in Indonesia using data from the Asian Development Bank Asia Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Monitor 2024. The study employs a descriptive approach based on a multidimensional framework of depth, breadth, and risk to examine MSME financing conditions. The analysis focuses on MSME landscape indicators and banking financing data, including credit ratios, distribution structure, and non-performing loans. The findings indicate that although MSME credit has increased nominally in recent years, the depth of financing remains relatively stable when measured against GDP and total bank credit. Financing is still concentrated in specific sectors and predominantly allocated for working capital, while credit risk in the MSME segment remains higher than the aggregate banking portfolio. These results suggest that improvements in MSME financing require not only credit expansion but also policies that strengthen financial depth, broaden access, and enhance risk mitigation. The study provides policy-relevant insights to support more inclusive and sustainable MSME financing in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of the accounting information system cycle in the Kecap Manis Kluwak Jawa. The method used is a qualitative method with data collection techniques, namely interviews, observations and documentation. Through the results of the interview, it was identified that the owner of Kecap Manis Kluwak Jawa MSMEs still uses traditional methods in recording and reporting financial reports. This can result in errors in data and information management, as well as hinder business growth. This study underlines the importance of applying good accounting theories in MSME financial management, such as the double-entry system, which is the basis for business actors to record transactions accurately and transparently. Therefore, it is recommended to implement the Financial Accounting Standards for Micro, Small, and Medium Entities (SAK EMKM) as a policy that must be followed by MSMEs. This policy aims to increase the transparency and accountability of financial statements, so that it can increase the trust of investors and creditors. Therefore, this study contributes to the understanding of how accounting information systems can be applied effectively in MSMEs in Kecap Manis Kluwak Jawa Keywords: Accounting Information System Cycle; SAK EMKM; MSMEs

Abstract

The light vehicle repair industry plays a crucial role in supporting public mobility, including in Padang City, where the number of repair shops continues to grow in line with the rise in private vehicles. However, most repair shops still operate conventionally, with limited human resources and technology. One common problem is low work efficiency in brake system maintenance, particularly in manual brake fluid bleeding, which is still performed manually and requires two technicians. This community service activity aims to improve the competence of workshop mechanics through training in the use of vacuum brake bleeders. The training was held at the Ken Autotech Workshop in Padang City, with 10 mechanics participating. The training included material delivery, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and ongoing mentoring. Results showed that before the training, most participants were unfamiliar with this tool, while after the training, 95% understood how it worked and 85% expressed interest in using it. Furthermore, 95% of participants stated that they felt direct benefits from the training. Thus, this training effectively improved mechanical understanding and skills and is relevant for wider application with the support of tool provision and further collaboration
