Abstract

Background: The relationship between Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) therapy and its implications for mortality and cardiovascular risk among older adults with sleep apnea has garnered increasing attention in recent years. This literature review synthesizes findings from various studies to illuminate the multifaceted impacts of PAP therapy on health outcomes in this demographic. Literature Review: The literature on Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) therapy reveals a complex relationship between its use, mortality, and cardiovascular risk in older adults with sleep apnea. The studies reviewed provide substantial evidence that while PAP therapy is a cornerstone treatment for obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS), its efficacy in improving cardiovascular outcomes and reducing mortality is influenced by factors such as patient adherence and the severity of the condition. Conclusion: In conclusion, the literature collectively underscores the significance of PAP therapy in managing obstructive sleep apnea and its associated cardiovascular risks in older adults. While there is evidence supporting its benefits, particularly in reducing mortality and improving cardiovascular health, the overall effectiveness is heavily contingent upon patient adherence to treatment. Future research is essential to clarify the long-term benefits of PAP therapy and to develop strategies that enhance compliance, ultimately aiming to mitigate mortality and cardiovascular risks in this vulnerable population.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Organizational Innovation and Perception of Organizational Support on Innovative Work Behavior through Self-Efficacy. The research sample consisted of 108 State Civil Apparatus in the Regional Secretariat of Grobogan Regency, using a quantitative approach with data analysis using SmartPLS v.3. The results of the study indicate that Organizational Innovation and Perception of Organizational Support have a positive effect on self-efficacy. In addition, Organizational Innovation and Perception of Organizational Support also have a positive effect on innovative work behavior, both directly and through self-efficacy. Self-efficacy was found to have a positive effect on innovative work behavior. Thus, self-efficacy acts as an intervening variable in the influence of Organizational Innovation and Perception of Organizational Support on Innovative Work Behavior.

Abstract

Sinar Intan Shoes merupakan toko yang bergerak dalam bidang penjualan berbagai jenis sepatu wanita, seperti high heels, flat shoes dan sandal. Setiap model sepatu memiliki trendnya masing-masing. Banyak sepatu yang tidak laku terjual menumpuk di gudang yang membuat pemilik toko menjadi kesulitan mengelola persediaan sepatu. Untuk membantu pengelolaan persediaan sepatu, dikembangkan sebuah sistem yang mampu memprediksi penjualan sepatu. Sistem ini dikembangkan dengan metodologi pengembangan sistem Waterfall dan dengan menggunakan algoritma Artificial Neural Network (ANN) menggunakan metode backpropagation. Neural Network yang dipakai dalam perhitungan prediksi menggunakan model 3-3-1. Iterasi (epoch) adalah 100.000, Learning rate            : 0,8, Error threshold   : 0,0001 dengan 100.000 iterasi. Dari hasil pengujian, didapatkan rata-rata tingkat akurasi di 55,77%. Hasil prediksi yang didapatkan menggunakan sistem ini dapat dijadikan sebagai informasi tambahan bagi pemilik toko dalam mengelola persediaan sepatu.

Abstract

Abstract: Lenvatinib, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI), has shown potential as a neoadjuvant therapy for inoperable thyroid cancer (TC). In this case series, we present three patients with unresectable thyroid tumors who responded favorably to lenvatinib treatment. A 60-year-old male with papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) experienced a 60% tumor volume reduction after five months of therapy. A 61-year-old male with medullary thyroid cancer (MTC) saw a 99% reduction after four months of lenvatinib and decrease of serum calcitonin and no residual disease six months after surgery. Lastly, a 67-year-old female with anaplastic thyroid cancer (ATC) showed a 70% tumor reduction and significant symptomatic relief. These cases highlight lenvatinib’s efficacy in reducing tumor size and stabilizing disease, improving surgical outcomes in patients initially deemed inoperable due to locally advanced tumors. Lenvatinib’s antitumor effects, driven by its antiangiogenic properties, suggest its potential as a valuable neoadjuvant treatment option in advanced thyroid cancer. Abstract

Peneliti mengambil objek pada Starbucks Coffee yang terletak di Manhattan Time Square Medan di Jln. Gatot Subroto, Medan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pengaruh harga, kualitas pelayanan, dan citra merek terhadap keputusan pembelian konsumen di Starbucks. Keputusan pembelian konsumen dapat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor diantaranya yaitu harga, pelayanan, dan merek. Harga produk seringkali menjadi faktor utama yang mempengaruhi keputusan pembelian konsumen, konsumen akan mempertimbangkan nilai produk tersebut sesuai dengan harga yang mereka bayar. Kualitas produk atau layanan merupakan faktor penting lainnya yang memengaruhi keputusan pembelian konsumen, konsumen cenderung memilih produk atau layanan yang dianggap memiliki kualitas yang baik dan memenuhi kebutuhan atau harapan mereka. Citra merek juga memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan, konsumen seringkali memilih produk atau layanan dari merek yang sudah dikenal atau memiliki reputasi baik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah pendekatan kuantitatif, jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan penyebaran kuesioner. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah koefisien determinasi pengujian secara simultan (Uji-F), dan pengujian secara parsial (Uji-T). Populasi yang diambil adalah 96 orang responden yang mengunjungi Starbuck Coffee yang terletak di Manhattan Time Square Medan di Jln. Gatot Subroto, Medan.

Abstract

Abstract: Soft-tissue sarcomas (STS) are rare and heterogeneous tumors originating from mesenchymal tissues. While surgical resection remains the primary treatment, not all patients are eligible for surgery, particularly in advanced stages. Drug-eluting bead transarterial chemoemboli zation (DEB-TACE) is a promising therapeutic option for such cases. This retrospective study evaluated the efficacy and safety of DEB-TACE in 30 patients with advanced STS at Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Hospital, Manado, from 2020 to 2023. The overall response rate (ORR) was 76.7% (p<0.05), with five patients achieving complete response and 18 showing partial response. The main adverse reactions included post-embolization syndrome (fever, pain, nausea, vomiting) and grade II or higher bone marrow suppression. Despite a morbidity rate of 93.3%, no treatment-related mortality was observed. In conclusion, DEB-TACE is an effective and safe treatment for advanced STS, providing superior short-term efficacy compared to traditional systemic chemotherapy. Abstract

In recent years, environmental damage has become a global problem. The cause of environmental damage is air pollution caused by various vehicle fuels, which produce CO2. This encourages people to care more about the environment, including the automotive industry. The rise of the environmental movement is encouraging car companies to produce electric vehicle products to reduce pollution. This research was conducted to determine and test the effects of environmental concerns, gain motives, and normative motives towards intention to purchase electric vehicle in Jakarta, and to test hedonic motivation as a mediator of gain motives and normative motives towards purchase intention. The study included 325 people living in Jakarta who either own or plan to own an electric car. This research use non-probability sampling techniques with the judgmental sampling method for sampling. The results of testing in this research used the PLS-SEM model with Smart-PLS system software version 4.0. The research results show that gain motives and normative motives have significant impact towards hedonic motives. Normative motives and hedonic motives have significant effects towards purchase intention. Environmental concern and gain motives have no significant impact towards purchase intention. Gain motives and normative motives influence purchase intention through hedonic motives.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Company Size (SIZE), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) and Profitability (ROA) on Company Value at BUMN Commercial Banks on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The data used is secondary data and the method used is multiple linear regression analysis using the SPSS 20 program to obtain a comprehensive picture of the relationship between one variable and another. The sample of this study consisted of 4 banks from 2012 - 2019 using saturated sampling as a sampling method. The results of this study indicate that the ERM, Company Size and Profitability variables have a significant effect on the Value sometimes with a significance level of less than 5%, while DER partially has no significant effect. The results of simultaneous regression analysis show that ERM, SIZE, DER and ROA together affect Firm Value. The coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square) of the results of this study is 0.665, which means that the four variables are able to influence 66.50% and the rest is influenced by other proportions that are not variables in this study

Abstract

Earnings management is an important thing to that affects financial report as a base of decision making. This research aims to analyze the effect of audit quality, leverage, and managerial ownership on earnings management and how it affected the quality of financial report.This research use 267 data samples from manufacturing company listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange year 2015 – 2017. The methods of analysis use for the study are descriptive statistic method and multiple linear regression analysis method. The result of this research shows that audit quality has positive effect on earnings management, leverage has no effect on earning management, and managerial ownership has no effect onearnings management.
