Abstract

This study aims to determine how the educative interaction of teachers and students and their relationship to chemistry learning achievement of grade XI and XII IPA students of SMAN 4 Mataram. This research is an ex-post facto quantitative study with a total population of 275 students in class XI and XII IPA. The sample used was 163 students who were determined using a stratified random sampling technique. The data collection method uses a teacher-student educational interaction questionnaire and documentation of the results of the Mid Semester Examination scores for the chemistry subject for Odd Semester 2022/2023 Academic Year. Descriptive analysis technique to find out how the pattern of teacher-student educational interaction and chemistry learning achievement as well as hypothesis testing with Pearson Product Moment correlation. Based on the descriptive analysis, the percentage of each indicator of the form of educational interaction states that students in class XI and XII IPA in chemistry learning use two-way communication. The percentage of educational interaction based on strata (class) and overall the students of SMAN 4 Mataram are in the moderate category. The results of the study stated that there was a positive and significant relationship between the educative interaction of teachers and students on the chemistry learning achievements of class XI and XII IPA SMAN 4 Mataram in the 2022/2023 Academic Year. The strength of the relationship between the educational interaction variable and the chemistry learning achievement is included in the high category with each addition of 1.289 the value of the chemistry learning achievement, the value of the educational interaction increases by 34,75%.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan masyarakat yang memiliki beragam budaya lokal yang dapat dikembangkan dalam kehidupan. Keragaman budaya ini dapat dioptimalkan sebagai salah satu sumber pembelajaran di sekolah. Pada pembelajaran IPA di sekolah kemampuan mengaitkan pengetahuan sains dengan fenomena di sekitar secara kontekstual dapat diperoleh melalui etnosains. Salah satu tradisi yang dapat diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran adalah tradisi mamaq/menyirih. Sehingga tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan budaya lokal masyarakat yaitu mamaq/menyirih untuk diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan studi pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengintegrasian tradisi mamaq/menyirih materi IPA pada kelas VII dan kelas VIII. Diantara materi yang dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam pembelajaran IPA di SMP adalah morfologi tumbuhan, taksonomi tumbuhan, jaringan tumbuhan, sistem pencernaan pada manusia, serta zat adiktif dan aditif.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the biological aspects within the tradition of nyale scent through the indigenous knowledge of the community. The research utilizes a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, focusing on collecting data regarding the nyale scent tradition. Data on indigenous knowledge were obtained through interviews with three sources: traditional leaders, village heads, and participants in the nyale scent tradition. The data were collected in narrative form and analyzed descriptively. The research findings indicate that the nyale scent tradition is relevant to biology, observed in various aspects such as the process of capturing nyale worms, the biology of nyale worms, and the utilization of nyale worms. Relevant biological topics associated with the nyale scent tradition include the classification of living organisms, ecosystems, reproduction, the human digestive system, and the structure and function of plants.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are very necessary in solving problems in chemistry in the form of theories, concepts, laws and facts. Chemistry lessons not only develop knowledge, understanding and analytical skills but also need to develop students' critical thinking abilities. The aim of this research is to describe the chemistry critical thinking skills of class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Gunungsari based on the implementation of the independent learning curriculum. This research is quantitative research using descriptive methods. The research results show that the students' critical thinking skills scores are in the high category with a percentage of 80.2%. Dominantly, the critical thinking skills obtained by class XI IPA A students are in the sufficient category with a percentage of 77.9% and the critical thinking skills obtained by class XI IPA B students are in the very high category with a percentage of 82.1%. Likewise, the percentage value of critical thinking skills indicators obtained by class XI IPA A students is lower than class XI IPA B students but is still in the high category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-modul berbasis model Culturally Responsive Transformative Teaching (CRTT) dengan pendekatan Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI) berbantuan Software 3D Pageflip Frofessional. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah R & D dengan desain pengembangan 4D yang terbatas pada tahap define, design, dan develop. Pada tahap develop terbatas pada uji validasi ahli oleh enam validator, untuk menilai validitas konten dan konstruk e-modul yang dikembangkan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar angket validasi e-modul untuk aspek kelayakan isi, penyajian dan bahasa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan indeks validitas Aiken’s V. Berdasarkan hasil validasi e-modul pada ketiga aspek yang dinilai, yaitu kelayakan isi, penyajian, dan bahasa, menunjukkan rata-rata hasil yang sangat valid. Pada aspek kelayakan isi, rata-rata 0,894, aspek kelayakan penyajian 0,891, dan aspek kelayakan bahasa rata-rata 0,896. Hasil uji validasi menunjukkan e-modul ekosistem berbasis model CRTT dengan pendekatan SSI berbantuan Software 3D Pageflip Professional dinyatakan sangat valid dari segi kelayakan isi, penyajian, dan bahasa.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the feasibility of product development for colloid-based chemistry teaching materials and problem-based learning integrated with Sasambo ethnochemistry to increase students' chemical literacy. This research is part of a development research procedure that adopts the 4-D model, with stages to define, design, develop, and disseminate. Test the suitability of teaching materials using a questionnaire to test content validity and construct validity. And reliability. The content and construct validity analysis technique uses the V index, while the reliability of teaching materials uses the kappa moment coefficient (K). The content and construct validity analysis results showed that the criteria were very valid, with a V index of 91.36% and 90.7%. The reliability analysis results of teaching materials obtained a kappa moment coefficient (K) of 0.88 with a very high reliability category. Based on the validity and reliability values, it is concluded that colloid-based chemistry teaching materials and problem-based learning Sasambo's integrated ethnochemistry are very suitable for learning.

Abstract

Tantangan revolusi industri 4.0 di bidang pendidikan harus menghasilkan sumber daya manusia yang memiliki keterampilan abad 21, yaitu 4C (Creative, Critical thinking & problem solving, Collaboration, and Communication) karena keterampilan tersebut dapat membentuk manusia yang memiliki kemampuan bersaing di dunia kerja. Selain itu juga kualitas pendidikan masih tergolong rendah, hal ini menjadi penghambat untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan yang berkelanjutan (ESDGs). Guru dituntut untuk melek terhadap teknologi. Pembelajaran harus memanfaatkan media. Pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media dapat meningkatkan minat dan motivasi belajar peserta didik. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam modul elektronik (E-modul) berbasis socio scientific issue (SSI) terintegrasi kearifan lokal. Peserta diberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan secara intensif mulai dari petunjuk penggunaan, hingga cara penggunaan e-modul berbasis SSI terintegrasi kearifan lokal. Kegiatan pengabdian ini akan dilaksanakan secara 3 tahap yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Penggunaan e-modul IPA berbasis SSI dianggap mampu untuk menjawab keresahan dari guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran sesuai dengan implementasi kurikulum merdeka belajar di sekolah. E-modul IPA berbasis SSI dapat mentransferkan peran dan fungsi konten dalam belajar mengajar menjadi luwes dan fleksibel. Manfaat secara nyata bahwa, siswa lebih mudah mengakses panduan belajar dan termotivasi untuk belajar lebih baik. Penggunaan e-modul IPA berbasis SSI dalam pembelajaran akan mempermudah guru untuk menyampaikan materi ajar ke siswa, siswa dapat membaca kapanpun dan dimanapun dengan menggunakan bantuan aplikasi atau web yang dapat diakses menggunakan handpone.

Abstract

Renggak leaves (Amomum dealbatum Roxb.) contain secondary metabolites such as flavonoids, terpenoids, and tannins, which act as antioxidants. Previous research has shown that ethanol extract of renggak leaves has moderate antioxidant activity using the DPPH method. However, research on the antioxidant activity of the extract is limited, thus further investigation at the fraction level is needed. This study aims to identify the secondary metabolite content and antioxidant activity using the ABTS method (2,2-azinobis-3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) of the ethanol extract and ethyl acetate fraction of renggak leaves. The renggak leaf samples were extracted using maceration with 96% ethanol (1:10), followed by fractionation with water, n-hexane, and ethyl acetate using a separatory funnel (1:1). Secondary metabolite screening was conducted on the ethanol extract and ethyl acetate fraction. Antioxidant activity was measured based on the reduction in absorbance at the ABTS maximum wavelength, expressed as IC50 (inhibitory concentration 50%) values, with ascorbic acid as a comparison. The secondary metabolite screening results indicated that both the ethanol extract and ethyl acetate fraction of renggak leaves contain alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, and steroids. The antioxidant activity of the ethanol extract was very weak with an IC50 value of 236.11 ppm, whereas the antioxidant activity of the ethyl acetate fraction was strong with an IC50 value of 86,95 ppm, compared to the antioxidant activity of ascorbic acid with an IC50 value of 10,00 ppm.

Abstract

Jaran Kamput is a tradition of the Lombok people that is still carried out today. The purpose of this research is to examine the science content that is relevant to the Jaran Kamput tradition. This descriptive qualitative research was conducted in Barejulat village, Jonggat sub-district, Central Lombok district. Data about the Jaran Kamput tradition were obtained through interviews and observations, then the data were analyzed descriptively to find science content relevant to the Jaran Kamput tradition. The results of this study indicate that the science content that is relevant to the Jaran Kamput tradition includes: the structure of plant tissue and its functions, natural and artificial additives, the balance of rigid bodies, and vibrations and sound waves. The results of this study are expected to be one of the alternatives for the enrichment of science materials for science teachers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar kimia siswa kelas XI Sains 8 di SMAN 1 Mataram melalui implementasi model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terintegrasi Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT). Penerapan model pembelajaran PBL terintegrasi CRT dirancang untuk mendorong partisipasi aktif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dan mempertimbangkan latar belakang budaya mereka. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan pada semester gasal tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus dengan langkah-langkah perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran PBL terintegrasi CRT secara signifikan meningkatkan hasil belajar kimia siswa. Persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa meningkat dari siklus I hingga siklus II. Pada siklus I, persentase ketuntasan meningkat dari 52,8% menjadi 58,3%. Sementara itu, pada siklus II, persentase ketuntasan meningkat dari 63,9% menjadi 75%, dengan total peningkatan sebesar 22,2%. Hasil ini menunjukkan efektivitas integrasi model PBL dengan CRT dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar kimia siswa.
