Abstract

Teachers as figures who interact and deal directly with students are required to have good qualifications and competence. The teacher plays an important role in education in the form of being indispensable in shaping the character of students, being a role model for students, fostering enthusiasm for student learning and also increasing creativity in learning. Jobs as teachers are more prone to experiencing stress at work. This study aims to determine stressors and stress coping on MA Bilingual Sidoarjo teachers. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach using three sources, namely the head of the madrasah, deputy head of curriculum and deputy head of student affairs. The results of this study stated that the stressors experienced by Ma Bilingual Sidoarjo teachers were due to students' bad behavior, differences in character, and workload. 1) When the teacher feels pressured by the student's bad behavior, what the teacher does to minimize the pressure is to approach the student and the student's guardian. 2) When stressors are in the form of differences in character, what is done is a coordination meeting with the leadership so that mutual agreement can reach a consensus. 3) Teacher workload that causes work stress in teachers can be overcome by improving communication, and training according to their field and evaluation meetings. That way, coping stress is applied by the Sidoarjo Bilingual MA teacher using a strategy that focuses on the problem.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada pendidik dalam penggunaan aplikasi pembelajaran bagi para siswa. Kegiatan ini diselenggarakan dengan maksud agar para pendidik mahir menggunakan aplikasi pembelajaran yang mampu menyediakan media pembelajaran bagi para siswa sesuai dengan gaya belajar yang dimiliki siswa. Adanya keunikan karakteristik inilah yang menjadikan aplikasi ini sangat memungkinkan untuk digunakan sebagai media utama dalam pemberdayaan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa. Pelatihan diikuti oleh sekelompok guru sekolah dasar dari SDN Banyuanyar 1 Kota Surakarta, Provinsi Jawa Tengah. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian ini meliputi beberapa metode yaitu ceramah, demonstrasi, latihan, dan tanya jawab. Hasil yang dapat disampaikan dari pelaksanaan pengabdian ini ialah seluruh peserta pelatihan sangat antusias dalam mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan aplikasi pembelajaran ini dengan indikasi para peserta (para guru) terlihat sangat aktif dan tekun didalam mengikuti setiap metode pelatihan yang diadakan. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh ialah sekitar 89% guru telah mampu dan mahir menggunakan aplikasi pembelajaran yang dilatihkan untuk kelak digunakan didalam proses pembelajaran bagi siswa yang disesuaikan dengan gaya belajar siswa. Salah satu kendala yang muncul selama kegiatan pelatihan yakni masalah keterbatasan peralatan komputer sehingga mengakibatkan pelaksanaan pelatihan belum dapat berjalan secaramaksimal.

Abstract

Science process skills are one of the components of psychomotor competence, these skills can support student activities to acquire knowledge. In learning activities having science process skills is something that is very important for students. This study aims to measure and find out the concept of applying and understanding science process skills in the science learning process, especially in food testing practicum. This type of research on food test material is qualitative descriptive research. The research was conducted on class VIII students of SMP Muhammadiyah Al-Kautsar PK Kartasura Sukoharjo. In this study, there were two data that were examined, namely the first data from the results of student science process skills observations. The research was conducted through three stages, namely pre-survey, implementation, and drawing conclusions. The second data collection was based on the teacher's knowledge of science process skills and the approach to the science teaching process by using interview techniques with science subject teachers in schools. The data obtained from the research were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative methods. The data shows that the overall understanding and application of students' science process skills based on the results of observations shows a good category, namely 76.3%. The conclusion drawn is that the science process skills approach to SMP Muhammadiyah Al-Kautsar PK students is in a good category. Based on the results of interviews with science teachers, the results show that so far, the lecture method is the method most often encountered and implemented by teachers in learning science. In fact, the implementation of science practicum is very important. In the practicum method, it is hoped that students will be able to interact directly with objects as well as be able to empower various competencies, especially being able to develop science process skills

Abstract

Kepemimpinan visioner adalah kemampuan pemimpin untuk menciptakan, merumuskan, mengomunikasikan dan menerapkan semua tujuan organisasi untuk diwujudkan bersama-sama. Dalam melakukan kepemimpinan visioner, kepala sekolah harus memiliki karakteristik kompetensi dan peran yang melekat dalam rangka mewujudkan cita-cita sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan: (1) karakteristik kompetensi yang dimiliki kepala sekolah dalam pengelolaan program unggulan (2) upaya yang diperankan kepala sekolah dalam pengelolaan program unggulan (3) efektifitas kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah dalam pengelolaan program unggulan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan jenis studi kasus (case study). Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui observasi berperanserta, wawancara mendalam dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Pengecekan keabsahan data melalui uji credibility (validitas internal) dengan perpanjangan pengamatan, peningkatan ketekunan dan triangulasi; transferability (validitas eksternal); dependability (reliabilitas); dan confirmability (objektivitas). Melalui analisis dari studi ini, peneliti menemukan bahwa (1) kepala sekolah memiliki karakteristik kompetensi yang cukup dalam mengelola program unggulan (2) kepala sekolah menjalankan peran kepemimpinan visioner dalam pengelolaan program unggulan (3) kepala sekolah dengan efektif melakukan transformasi dan implementasi visi sekolah yang dijabarkan kedalam layanan pendidikan program unggulan.

Abstract

Collaboration is one of the 21st-century skills that are important to be mastered by teachers or students in the school environment, especially in the scope of science learning (IPA). Science learning requires group and collaborative activities such as practicum in the laboratory for example. However, an outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic has affected nearly 363.1 million children and adolescents worldwide due to school closures that make group activities and collaboration challenging to do. Many teachers are turning to online classes and transforming their learning into a digital environment. The ability of every science teacher in conducting digital-based learning in terms of collaboration is are not the same, because not all have been prepared for this before. In Indonesia, there are no minimum competency standards that must be mastered by teachers to conduct online learning, including the competence to collaborate digitally. Especially for science teachers, practicum and collaboration in the laboratory cannot be carried out. In fact, laboratory practicum plays a role in increasing scientific competence apart from the transfer of knowledge. Based on these problems, the GutasiPetal (Digital-Competence Literacy for Teacher) team held online training on Digital CompetenceCompetency, particularly in digital collaboration, to strengthen and map the digital collaboration digital competencies of science teachers in Central Java. , as well as improve skills to collaborate online for science learning in a digital environment. The method for the training through Zoom Conference, synchronous simulation, and asynchronous group assignment. Therefore, for evaluating the collaboration skill of the teachers, we assessed the assignment work and analyzed questionnaire results using RASCH Analysis.

Abstract

The Critical thinking is important in education because it encourages students to gain an understanding of more complex information. High critical thinking skills will lead students to find and conclude their understanding. The prolonged COVID-19 pandemic has made global changes in the implementation of learning. Until now, the learning process is still directed at the online learning model with the help of various Learning Management System (LMS) platforms. Conditions like this have implications for the decline in students' critical thinking skills in various aspects, such as inference, interpretation, explanation, analysis, evaluation, and self-regulation. This study aims at proposing an alternative learning approach, namely the enhanced-open learning model which is used to empower and improve students' critical thinking skills. This learning model was developed using the Research and Development (R&D) method and implemented with an adaptive hypermedia learning application media designed with the Luther development model. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling on 98 students of informatics education in Surakarta City. The data were analyzed with the prerequisites for normality and homogeneity of the data before the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test and Mann Whitney U test was carried out to determine the effectiveness of the model. The results of the increase in the gain score obtained from the experiment are in the aspect of interpretation of 93.18%, inference 76.74%, explanation 96.33%, analysis 97, 87%, evaluation 63.01%, and self-regulation 98.13%. Based on the experiments conducted, it is proven that the adaptive open learning approach has a very significant impact on improving students' critical thinking aspects so that it can be concluded that the model is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract: Education at Islamic boarding schools not only functions as a transfer of religious knowledge, but also as a place for the formation of religious character. The transformational leadership of Islamic boarding school leaders plays a central role in the process of producing a generation that combines academic skills with strong moral and spiritual character. Transformational leadership does not only involve managerial aspects, but also focuses on building female students' character, morality and spirituality. This research aims to explore and understand the positive impact of transformational leadership of Islamic boarding school leaders in forming a religious generation at the Tahfizh Daarul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School, Surakarta. This research method uses descriptive qualitative. This research found that the transformational leadership of Islamic boarding school leaders in the idealized influence dimension in strengthening the religious character of female students was carried out with the strategy of nurturing with the heart and educating by example, holding muhadharah activities with the aim of forming the character of female students, memorizing the Qur'an which would then be carried out by reciting the Qur'an. an, providing formal education based on science and technology.Key Words : Transformational Leadership, Islamic Boarding School Leader, ReligiousAbstrak: Pendidikan di pesantren tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai transfer ilmu agama, tetapi juga sebagai tempat pembentukan karakter religius. Kepemimpinan transformasional pimpinan pesantren memainkan peran sentral dalam proses mencetak generasi yang memadukan kecakapan akademis dengan karakter moral dan spiritual yang kuat. Kepemimpinan transformasional tidak hanya melibatkan aspek manajerial, tetapi juga berfokus pada pembentukan karakter, moralitas, dan spiritualitas santriwati. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan memahami dampak positif kepemimpinan transformasional pimpinan pesantren dalam membentuk generasi religius di Pesantren Tahfizh Daarul Qur’an Surakarta. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini mendapatkan hasil bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional pimpinan pesantren dalam dimensi idealized influence dalam menguatkan karakter religius santriwati dilakukan dengan strategi mengasuh dengan hati dan mendidik dengan keteladanan, mengadakan kegiatan muhadharah dengan tujuan untuk membentuk karakter santriwati, hafal Qur’an yang selanjutnya akan dilakukan khatmil Qur’an, pemberian pendidikan formal berbasis sains dan teknologi.Kata Kunci : Kepemimpinan Transformasional, Pimpinan Pesantren, Religius

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe school tips for building harmonious relationships with the community to improve the quality of education at SD IT Muhammadiyah Pangkalan Kerinci. The research method used is qualitative using data sources in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions by checking the validity of the data through triangulation of sources and methods. The research results show that school tips for building harmonious relationships with the community include effective communication, community involvement in school programs, teacher development, increasing student participation, a safe and comfortable learning environment, as well as fairness and transparency. The school creates a conducive climate for parents to actively participate in school activities. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the school's efforts to improve the quality of education through harmonious relations with the community have been successful by implementing the tips that have been explained. Thus, good cooperation between schools and the community can have a positive impact on improving the quality of education at SD IT Muhammadiyah Pangkalan Kerinci.

Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kepemimpinan berbasis trilogy penidikan Kihajar Dewantara dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum merdeka saat ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1). Implementasi trilogi kepemimpinan Ki Hajar Dewantara di SD Negeri Gabugan I sudah berjalan sesuai dengan asas kepemimpinan Ki Hadjar Dewantara, yakni Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodo, Ing Madyo Mangun Karso dan Tut Wuri Handayani. Implementasi trilogi kepemimpinan tersebut tercermin dari kepala sekolah membuat visi misi sekolah dan guru dilakukan pembimbingan secara rutin yang diselenggarakan sebulan sekolah, serta kepala sekolah dan guru yang sudah melaksanakan serta memberikan contoh langsung kepada peserta didik. Secara tidak langsung siswa dapat melatih kepemimpinannya di dalam kelompoknya sendiri, siswa terlihat aktif di dalam kelompoknya, walaupun tidak semua aktif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran secara kelompok tersebut. Dengan demikian kepala sekolah, guru dan siswa dapat menerapkan asas kepemimpinan ini. Penelitian ini menyediakan sebuah perspektif tentang Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodo, Ing Madyo Mangun Karso dan Tut Wuri Handayani. Berdasarkan hasil analisis statistik deskriptif yaitu Semboyan “ing ngarsa sung tulada” Dalam perannya sebagai pemimpin dan pendidik, kepala sekolah dan guru menjadi tokoh, panutan, dan identifikasi bagi para peserta didik, dan lingkungannya. Semboyan “ing madya mangun karsa” memiliki arti ditengah membangkitkan kehendak, memberikan motivasi. Guru sebagai orang tua kedua bagi peserta didik harus dapat memberi motivasi dan kesempatan kepada peserta didik. Semboyan “tut wuri handayani”,sebagai seorang pendidik, dari belakang seorang kepala sekolah dan guru harus bisa memberikan dorongan dan arahan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, peserta didik diberi kebebasan untuk mengembangkan segala potensi yang dimilikinya. Apabila dalam prosesnya peserta didik melakukan tindakan yang menyimpang, guru memiliki kewajiban untuk mengarahkan dan menasehati peserta didik tersebut agar tidak menyimpang dari norma-norma yang berlaku.

Abstract

Chromium (Cr) metal is a pollutant caused by industrial waste disposal and agricultural activities. An alternative solution to managing chromium pollution in an environmentally friendly manner is phytoremediation using Fimbristylis globulosa combined with Agrobacterium sp. This research aims to measure 1). the ability of Fimbristylis globulosa combined with Agrobacterium sp. to absorb Cr metal; and 2). the value of the Cr metal bioconcentration factor (BCF) absorbed by Fimbristylis globulosa combined with Agrobacterium sp. This research used factorial design 2x5 with randomized design. Chromium metal analysis using atomic absorption spectrophotometer. Data were analyzed using BCF test. The results showed: 1) the highest Cr metal absorption in the treatment of Fimbristylis globulosa-Agrobacterium sp.-Cr metal content of 30 ppm (T2V3) root: 7,987 ppm and shoot: 15,649 ppm; 2) the highest value of Cr metal BCF in the treatment of Fimbristylis globulosa-Agrobacterium sp.-Cr metal content of 30 ppm (T2V3) root is 0.266 and Fimbristylis globulosa-Agrobacterium sp.-Cr metal content 10 ppm (T2V1) shoot is 0.675. Conclusions of this research are: 1) Fimbristylis globulosa combined with Agrobacterium sp. has a higher Cr metal absorption ability than without a combination of both; and 2) Fimbristylis globulosa combined with Agrobacterium sp. has a higher value of the Cr metal BCF than without a combination of both.
