Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh model Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) dalam pembelajaran matematika terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika siswa. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Post-test Only Control Group Design. Adapun populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 2 Abiansemal tahun pelajaran 2013/2014, yaitu sebanyak 341 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik random sampling. Data hasil tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika diuji normalitas dan homogenitasnya kemudian dianalisis menggunakan Uji-t dua jalur. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara pembelajaran matematika menggunakan model Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) dengan pembelajaran matematika menggunakan model konvensional terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika siswa. Lebih lanjut, diperoleh bahwa siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) menghasilkan nilai rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika yang tidak sama dengan siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Konvensional. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika siswa.Kata Kunci : model pembelajaran Predict-Observe-Explain (POE), kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika This research is aimed to know the effect of Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) model in the learning of mathematics to mathematics student's critical thinking ability. The research design used in this research is the Post-test Only Control Group Design. The population in this research was all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Abiansemal in the academic year 2013/2014, as many as 341 people. The process of selecting the sample was done by a random sampling technique. The result of critical thinking ability test were tested by two kind of testing first, namely testing for normal distribution and testing for homogeneity of variance then analyzed by using two-tailed t-test. The result of hypothesis testing showed that there was significant difference in the student’s critical thinking ability who were taught by using Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) model technique and students who are taught by using conventional model teaching technique. Furthermore, it was found that the mean score of experimental group was different with mean score of the control group. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya perbedaan partisipasi dan prestasi belajar matematika antara siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Brainstorming dan siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Lebih lanjut, akan diselidiki siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran mana yang memiliki partisipasi dan prestasi belajar matematika yang paling baik. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Post-test Only Control Group Design. Adapun populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Kelas VIII non unggulan SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja tahun ajaran 2012/2013, yaitu sebanyak 235 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik random sampling. Data hasil lembar observasi partisipasi dan tes prestasi belajar matematika dianalisis menggunakan Uji-t dan MANOVA. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan partisipasi dan prestasi belajar matematika pada kedua kelas sampel. Lebih lanjut, diperoleh bahwa: (1) partisipasi belajar matematika siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Brainstorming lebih baik daripada siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional (2) prestasi belajar matematika siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Brainstorming lebih baik daripada siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional, dan (3) partisipasi dan prestasi belajar matematika siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Brainstorming mempunyai perbedaan dengan siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Brainstorming berpengaruh positif terhadap partisipasi dan prestasi belajar matematika siswa.Kata Kunci : MODEL PEMBELAJARAN BRAINSTORMING, PARTISIPASI, PRESTASI BELAJAR MATEMATIKA This research is aims at to know whether there is any difference of participation and learning achievement between students who learned with brainstorming learning model and students who learned with conventional learning model. Furthermore, which one have better the participation and achievement in mathematics between the two groups. The research design used in this study is the Post-test Only Control Group Design. The population in this research were all regular eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja in academic year 2012/2013, as many as 235 student. Sample was choosen using random sampling technique. Data resulting from participation observation sheet and math achievement tests were analyzed using t-tests and MANOVA. The results of hypothesis testing showed that there are differences in participation and achievement in math learning. Furthermore : (1) the participation of the students with Brainstorming learning model better than students who learned with the conventional model (2) learning achievement of students with Brainstorming learning model better than students who learned with the model conventional learning, and (3) participation and learning achievement of students who learned with the learning model has different Brainstorm with students who learned with conventional learning models. It can be concluded that the Brainstorming learning model gives positive effect on the participation and achievement of students learning mathematics.keyword : Brainstorming learning model, participation, learning achievement mathematics

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keaktifan belajar dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas VIII 12 SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif dengan metode team quiz. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang melibatkan subjek sebanyak 38 orang siswa kelas VIII 12 SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus yang masing-masing siklus terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan evaluasi, serta refleksi. Data keaktifan belajar siswa dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi dan data kemampuan siswa dalam pemecahan masalah matematika dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika berbentuk soal uraian. Data yang telah terkumpul selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan keaktifan belajar dan peningkatan rata-rata kemampuan siswa dalam pemecahan masalah matematika serta ketuntasan belajar dari refleksi awal sampai siklus III. Peningkatan keaktifan belajar dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 13,37 dan siklus II ke siklus III sebesar 11,63 dengan katagori baik (skor aktivitas: 70,14). Peningkatan rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dan ketuntasan belajar siswa dari tes awal ke siklus I sebesar 13,62 dan 26,32, siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 6,25 dan 23,68, dan siklus II ke siklus III sebesar 15,79 dan 3,36 dengan terpenuhi KKM dan ketentusan belajar yang diharapkan.Kata Kunci : model kooperatif, metode team quiz, keaktifan belajar, kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika This research aimed at improving the active learning and problem solving skills of students of grade VIII 12 SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja trough cooperative learning model with team quiz method. The subjects of this study were 38 students at class VIII 12 of SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja in academic year 2014/2015. This research was conducted in three cycle in which each of the cycle contain of preparation stage, implementation, observation, evaluation, and reflection. The data of students active learning was collected by using observation sheet and the data of students problem solving in mathematic lesson was collected by using subjective questions about problem solving in mathematic lesson. The data which already collected were analyzed descriptively. The result of this study showed that there are some improvement in students active learning and their ability in problem solving in mathematic lesson, as well as the completeness of the study from the reflection until third cycle. The improvement of students active learning from cycle I to cycle II was 13.37 and from cycle II to cycle III was 11.63 with good category (active score : 70.14). The improvement of problem solving in mathematic lesson and the completeness of the study from the beginning test to cycle I was 13.62 and 26.32, from cycle I to cycle II was 6.25 and 23.68, from cycle II to cycle III was 15.79 and 3.36 which passed the minimum criteria of completeness of the study.keyword : cooperative learning, team quiz method, students’ active learning, the ability of problem solving in mathematic lesson

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe FSLC lebih baik dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Sukasada tahun ajaran 2015/2016, yaitu sebanyak 102 orang yang terdistribusi ke dalam lima kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik simple random sampling untuk mendapatkan satu kelas kontrol dan satu kelas eksperimen. Sampel diperoleh dengan memilih dua kelas dari lima kelas, sebelum memilih dua kelas secara acak harus dilakukan uji kesetaraan untuk mengetahui bahwa setiap kelas dalam populasi setara. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Post-test Only Control Group Design. Data kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa diperoleh melalui tes uraian yang telah valid dan reliabel. Skor tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji-t satu pihak yaitu pihak kanan. Hasil pengujian dengan uji-t diperoleh nilai thitung adalah 2,480 dan nilai ttabel adalah 1,685 sehingga, t_hitung > t_tabel. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe FSLC lebih baik dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran dengan pembelajaran konvensional.Kata Kunci : Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe FSLC, Pembelajaran Konvensional, Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika This study aims to know whether the mathematical problem solving ability of students who take the FSLC cooperative learning model is better than the mathematical problem solving ability of students who take the conventional learning. The population in this study were all students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Sukasada in academic year 2015/2016, for about 102 people. They are distributed into 5 classes. The Sampling was conducted by simple random sampling technique to obtain a control class and an experiment class. The sample is obtained by choosing two classes of five classes, before choosing it randomly, an equivalence testing is a must to do to determine that each class in a similar population. The research design used in this study is the Post-test Only Control Group Design. The data of mathematics problem solving ability of students obtain trough a valid and reliable description test. Test scores of mathematics problem solving ability of students were analyzed using t-test of the party that is the right side. Results of testing by t-test is obtained tcount is 2.480 and ttable is 1.685, so t_count> t_table. Abstract

Many studies have been conducted related to the influence of COVID-19 pandemics on mathematics learning. Some studies showed a positive effect, but many also showed a negative effect. During the COVID-19 pandemic, mathematics learning management, especially in junior high schools, needs to be carried out properly so that the learning processes and outcomes are in accordance with the established standards. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct an evaluative study to find out how mathematics learning management has been carried out, especially in junior high schools in Singaraja City. This study was conducted using the CIPP evaluation model (Context, Input, Process, and product) involving 21 respondents consisting of principal, vice-principal of curriculum, and mathematics teachers. Respondents were determined using the purposive sampling technique in 4 public schools, namely SMP Negeri 1 Singaraja, SMP Negeri 2 Singaraja, SMP Negeri 3 Singaraja, and SMP Negeri 6 Singaraja. Data were collected using questionnaires and interviews. Based on the results, the context variable was positive (+), the the input variable was positive (+), the the process variable was negative (-), and the the product variable was negative (+). Thus, CIPP evaluation results based on the Glickman Quadrant (+ + - -) showed that mathematics learning management during COVID-19 pandemics in junior high schools in Singaraja City  was in a quite effective category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran Hands on minds on Activity terhadap pemahaman konsep geometri ditinjau dari kemampuan tilikan ruang siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian 2x2 yang didukung oleh hasil observasi dan karya siswa. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 229 siswa dari seluruh siswa kelas XII akomodasi perhotelan SMK PGRI 5 Denpasar. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Data pemahaman konsep geometri dan kemampuan tilikan ruang siswa dik-umpulkan melalui tes. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan analisis varians (ANAVA) dua jalur dengan bantuan SPSS 23.0 for Windows pada taraf signifikansi 5 % . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) metode pembelajaran hands on minds on activity lebih baik dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep geometri siswa, (2) ada interaksi antara metode pembelajaran hands on minds on activity dengan kemam-puan tilikan ruang terhadap pemahaman konsep geometri, (3) siswa yang mengikuti metode pembelajaran hands on minds on activity memiliki pemahaman konsep geometri yang lebih baik daripada siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional bagi siswa yang mempu-nyai kemampuan tilikan ruang tinggi, serta (4) siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional memiliki pemahaman konsep geometri lebih baik daripada siswa yang mengikuti metode pem-belajaran hands on minds on activity bagi siswa yang mempunyai kemampuan tilikan ruang ren-dah.

Abstract

One source of learning in universities is a digital library. In the era of industry 4.0, most universities have implemented digital libraries in supporting the learning process. However, the reality shows that digital library management is still ineffective. Therefore, the implementation of digital libraries needs to be evaluated for determining the digital library effectiveness used as learning resources in supporting the learning process in universities. Many evaluation tools are used to evaluate the effectiveness of digital libraries but have not provided accurate recommendation results to support decision-making. This research presents an innovation in the form of an evaluation tool that can be used to evaluate the digital library effectiveness in universities. That evaluation tool is called the Alkin-WP-based digital library evaluation software. This software is a desktop platform that contains aspects of measuring the digital library effectiveness by referring to the components of the Alkin evaluation model and the WP (Weighted Product) method. This research aimed to show the effectiveness level of the utilization of Alkin-WP-based digital library evaluation software. This research method was R & D (Research & Development) which refers to the ten development stages of the Borg and Gall model. In this research, development was focused only on a few stages, included: usage trials, final product revision, dissemination, and implementation. The subjects involved in assessing the implementation/utilization of the Alkin-WP-based digital library evaluation software were 35 people, in the usage trials were six people, in product revision were three people, and at the stage of dissemination were 15 people. The tools used to collect data were questionnaires and interview guidelines. The data analysis technique used was descriptive quantitative. The effectiveness level of utilizing the Alkin-WP-based digital library evaluation software was 88.34%. It showed that the evaluation software had effective. The impact of this research results on the scientific field of educational evaluation is being able to show the existence of a new evaluation tool based on educational evaluation and artificial intelligence. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Flipped Learning berbantuan geogebra terhadap  kemampuan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang menggunakan post-test only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja tahun pelajaran 2019/2020 sebanyak 380 siswa dan terbagi menjadi sebelas kelas. Dalam penelitian ini, sampel yang digunakan adalah sebanyak 66 siswa yang terbagi menjadi dua kelas (kelas eksperimen dan kontrol). Sampel ditentukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa angket motivasi belajar dan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematika. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji MANOVA dengan nilai F = 3861.636 dan sig. = 0,000 ( ρ < 0,05) Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif model Flipped Learning berbantuan geogebra terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan motivasi belajar matematika siswa.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop and produce a problem-solving-oriented mathematics learning tool with “tumbuhkan”, “alami”, “namai”, “demonstrasikan”, ulangi”, “rayakan” (grow, experience, name, demonstrate, repeat, and celebrate) (TANDUR) setting to obtain a valid, practical and effective learning tool, and improving mathematics learning outcomes of class X Stone-Concrete Construction at SMK Negeri 1 Denpasar. This research was development research with problem-oriented learning model through TANDUR setting using learning support tools which included student manual, teacher manual and RPP. The development of learning tools followed the development procedure of Plom model which consists of 3 phases, namely: 1) Preliminary Research Phase, 2) Prototyping Phase (iteration process of analysis, design and development, formative evaluation and revision), 3) Assessment Phase (semi summative assessment). The subjects of the study were 28 students of class X KB2 at SMK Negeri 1 Denpasar. The required research data included validity, practicality and effectiveness data of learning tools. The validity of learning devices was tested through expert assessment. While the practicality and effectiveness of learning tools were tested through field trials. The results showed that the developed learning tools were valid with the average score of validation on 1) the student book was 3.7 which categorized very valid, 2) the teacher manual 3.8 which categories as very valid. The practicality of the developed learning tools on 1) implementation of learning devices conducted on field trials I averaging 3.1 which categorized as practical, 2) implementation of learning devices on field II averaging 3.2 which categorized as practical. The developed learning devices were effective with the average of the test score of the learning result on the field trial I was 78.92 with the good category, and the results of field study II was 86.07 with the excellent category which had exceeded the value of the Minimum Completion Criteria.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the contribution of mathematics anxiety, achievement motivation, and potential academic towards mathematics problem solving ability. The population of this research was 3791 students at class VII public junior high school in Denpasar City. The sample of this study consisted of 483 students who were obtained using proportionate cluster random sampling. The type of this research was ex post facto with path analysis technique. The data of mathematics anxiety and achievement motivation were collected by questionnaires, while the data of potential academic and mathematics problem solving ability were collected by tests. Results showed that (1) mathematics anxiety directly affected potential academic in inverse correlation with contribution of 24.2%, (2) achievement motivation directly affected potential academic in positive correlation with contribution of 62.4%, (3) mathematics anxiety directly affected mathematics problem solving ability in inverse correlation with contribution of 43.1%, (4) mathematics anxiety directly affected mathematics problem solving ability in positive correlation with contribution of 2.6%, (5) achievement motivation directly affected mathematics problem solving in positive correlation with contribution of 41.2%, (6) achievement motivation indirectly affected mathematics problem solving ability in positive correlation with contribution of 6.7%, (7) potential academic directly affected  mathematics problem solving ability in positive correlation with contribution of 10.7%, (8) mathematics anxiety and achievement motivation simultaneously affected potential academic in positive correlation with contribution of 69.2% (9) mathematics anxiety, achievement motivation, and potential academic simultaneously affected mathematics problem solving ability in positive correlation with contribution of 79.4%.
