Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the processes of student motivation improvement in learning local folk music of the 7th grader in SMP Negeri 3 junior high school Bukittinggi by applying “cooperative learning, the group investigation type.” This kind of research is class action research. The datum to be observed in this research are from practical examination by playing local folk music using instrument, observing student motivation, assessing student motivation and doing field note. The research is done in two cycles, cycle I and cycle II. Each of them has two meetings. Every cycle consists of four events which are planning, action, observation, and reflection.

Abstract

Abstract The research aimend at describing the implementation of cooperative learning model teams games tournament type toward students’ activities in learning music which was better than implementing conventional model at SMP Negeri 1 Padang. Two cllasses werw taken as the sample of the research. VII D was as the control and VII F was as the experiment class. The data was taken from questionnaire given to all sample classes. Before the data was managed, nornality and homogeneity tests were done, followed by descriptive analysis. The result of the research showed that the activities of class used cooperative learning  TGT type  (Teams Games Tournament) were better than the classused convetional method.   Kata kunci : Aktivitas, Pembelajaran, Seni Musik, Model, Cooperative Learning

Abstract

The purposeof this research is to describethe strategy, planning, implementation, and evaluationof music learning daerah setempat atJunior High School 6 in Padang city.This research isa qualitativeresearch by applying a methodof descriptive analysis. The object of the research is the Music strategiesLearning at the daerah setempat. The datawere collectedby observation, interview, library study,anddocumentation. This research was interactively analyzed,such as collecting the data, clarifying the data,organizingthe findings, and drawing a conclusion. The result of research is that cultural-art teacher of junior high school 6 Padang who specially teach at the class of VII-2 have the strategy in the process of learning at the class. Abstract

Abstract The background of  this research is based on the low of the students, interest play sarunai. Specially to the students of  grade X in SMAN 5 South solok. The goal of  this research is to reveal that the using of demonstrasion can increase the students, interest in playing sarunai in grade X-1 in SMAN 5 South Solok. The benefit of  this research is as the input for the art and culture teacher especially in SMAN 5 South Solok in increasing the interest of students in learning play sarunai.This research is class action research that in done by using the model of cycle that divided into 4 steps that is planning, action, observation, and reflection. The sample of this research is the students of grade X-1 SMAN South Solok semester 2 january-june 2013 with 30 students. The instrument that is used is observation sheet as tally list. That contents of analyzed by using the percentage formula P= (F/N) X 100%.The result of  the research shows that there is the increasing of the students, interest in playing sarunai in cycle 1 is 54,6 % and in the 2 is 81,9 % it means there is the increasing the students interest to play  sarunai by using demonstrasion method from the cycle 1 to cycle 2 is 27,3 %. Key words: the increasing of students, intereset play sarunai music by the demonstration method.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the choir extracurricular at SMA Adabiah 2 Padang. This is a qualitative research with a descriptive analysis approach. The research instrument used was the researcher itself and was assisted by supporting instruments such as writing instruments and cameras. The data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. The data analysis was conducted by collecting the data, clarifying the data, and concluding the data. The results show that the implementation of choir extracurricular activity at SMA Adabiah 2 Padang  run well due to the fact that it was conducted through the correct stages, starting from gathering students who were interested in choir extracurricular activities, scheduling, training agendas, and giving materials. In the implementation stage of the choir, students can sing the Ayam Den Lapeh song in a choir which consists of two voices, soprano and the alto voice. The choir extracurricular activity was held for the first time at SMA Adabiah 2 Padang, but the results are quite good because it was supported by sufficient facilities. Eventhough they do not have a permanent trainer, the teacher has been able to carry out these extracurricular activities well.

Abstract

This research purpose to for describe and explain how applying of method study of CTL in study of legitimate stage. Research type qualitative with descriptive approach of analysis. Technique data collecting through book study, interview and observation. Result of this research find that study steps conducted is forming group (learning comunity). Giving modeling, question and answer (questioning), student find Iesson items (inkuiri), conducting refleksion and authentic assessment to student. Assessment taken to passing test practice to the fore class grouply, while its value is group value and individual value. Abstract

This study aims to findstudents improvements in learning to sing local folk songs in unison singing through peer tutor method in class VII.1 at SMP Negeri 6 Sijunjung. This research was conducted in March-July 2020. The research subjects were 30 studentsof class VII.1 at SMP Negeri 6 Sijunjung. This study applied peer tutor method in learning music in unisono singing and wasconducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of 2 meetings. The 2 meetings consisted of four stages: planning, implementing actions, observing, reflecting, and evaluating. The data were collected through field notes, observations, performance tests, and interviews. The data analysis conducted was the result of implementing the actions taken. The results show that there is an improvement in unisonosinging ability by using peer tutor method forstudents in class VII.1 at SMP Negeri 6 Sijunjung. This improvement can be seen in the quality of the process shown through students’enthusiasm and activeness in learning music.The improvement in the result quality can be seen from the increase in score and average before and after the implementation. The average value before implementation is 44.12. In the first cycle the average value increases to 70.03, and in the second cycle it increases to 84.19.The average from pre-action to cycle II has increased by 40.07 and has met the Minimum Completion Criteria which is 75. From the above research, it is known that peer tutor method succeeds in improving student learning outcomes in singing local folk songs in class VII.1 at SMP Negeri 6 Sijunjung.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know interest student to music art learning with using audio visual media. Kind this research is kualitatif method with descriptive technic of analysis. This research do with eigh meet times. Subject this research is VII A student class semester of two school year 2011/2012. The observation done which is student that participates, paying attention, and felling with observation sheet and percentage. From result of this research take conclusion that interest student to musik art learning with using audio visual media in SMP Negeri 8 Padang west sumatera barat province. It’s we can show with inquiry result by seven questions. From the inquiry result study before, therefore we can condusion that learning with using audio visual media can make student interest follow music art learning.

Abstract

Abstract This research aimed at determining the effect of audio visual media on students’ ability in singing national anthems. The subject of the research were students of VIII2 at SMP Negeri 18 Padang in the year of 2012-2013. The design of the research was class action research in which students’ musical notations learning by using the audio visual determined. The research findings showed that there was an improvement on students’ singing. The improvement was seen from the average score of the class in each cycle. In the pre-cycle, the average score of the students was 68.375. In the first cycle, the average score was improved to 75.375 and in the second cycle, it was improved to 82.25. It was concluded that audio visual media were appropriate for students’ singing improvement.   Kata kunci: bernyanyi, notasi, media, audio, visual.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the conventional learning methods used in studying vocal students in singing songs especially songs INS Kayutanam Minang in high school. This research is descriptive qualitative. Object of research is the use of conventional methods in the art of vocal high school students Syafei National Institute (INS). The results using conventional methods in the art of vocal INS Kayutanam high school students. Demonstration peers, kepatihan method is a special method that focuses on how to read notation numbers in Minang song, making students more quickly accept new material and easier to understand by students.
