Abstract

HAIs surveillance is a supervision that includes data collection, analysis, interpretation and dissemination, which is currently developing into an electronic-based approach. This electronic-based surveillance is assumed to be able to provide higher data quality, faster and easier. However, this still needs to be proven further. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect and comparison of paper and electronic based on the system of recording and detecting risk of HAIs. This type of research is quantitative research with Quasi design Pre test - Post test Two Group, with a total sampling of 239 nurses. Methods of collecting data using instruments in the form of questionnaires to measure the nurses’ competency and the recording system. As an intervention carried out the implementation of electronic and paper-based surveillance for two weeks at the Awal Bros Batam Hospital. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon Test to test the differences and Mann Whitney to test the effect. The results of the study illustrate the differences in nurses' competencies before and after HAIs surveillance training, illustrating the significant influence on the HAIs recording and detection system before and after the application of electronic and paper based. It is recommended to develop electronic-based software for recording and detecting HAIs systems connected to the Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS).

Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a condition where the body fails to maintain metabolism and fluid and electrolyte balance to cause uremia. Chronic Kidney Disease requires renal replacement therapy in the form of dialysis and kidney transplantation. The aim of this study is to prove the relationship the ureum level value with Restless Legs Syndrome in Chronic Kidney Disease Patients. Long-term hemodialysis and uremia can cause various neurological complications such as Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS). The instrument used in this research measured the severity RLS using The International Restless Legs Syndrome Questioner. This study is a correlation analysis using a cross sectional study design with a sampling technique that is purposive sampling of 16 hemodialysis patients. Data were analyzed using pearson correlation test. The results showed that there was a correlation between urea level and severity of Restless Legs Syndrome in Chronic Kidney Disease patients with p value (0,028). There is a need for training and monitoring of urea levels in an effort to improve the severity of RLS.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the improvement of students' understanding of mathematical concepts in class VII C of SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Yogyakarta by implementing the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model with the assistance of mind mapping media. The method applied is Classroom Action Research consisting of two cycles, each cycle involving four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects are 28 students from class VII C of SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Yogyakarta. The results of the study indicate that the application of CTL with mind mapping is effective in enhancing students' understanding of mathematical concepts. This is evidenced by the average scores increasing from 51.80 in the pre-cycle, to 59.50 in Cycle I, and reaching 85.80 in Cycle II. Improvement is also observed in the percentage of understanding mathematical concepts in each indicator, rising from 50.19% in the pre-cycle to 82.88% at the end of Cycle II. This demonstrates the effectiveness of the CTL model with mind mapping in enhancing students' mathematical comprehension.

Family support is one of the main aspects that will help Diabetes Mellitus patients to maintain self-care activity. Aspects of family support such as informational, instrumental, appreciation and emotional support are needed in daily care. The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of family support for self-care activity in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients in the Padang City Health Center in 2019. The design of this study was quasi experimental with pre and post test non-equivalentt control group. Sampling by simple random sampling with a total sample of 64 respondents (32 people in each group). Data was collected using The Summary Of Diabetes Self-care Activity (SDSCA). The results of the study using the Paired T-Test showed that there was an effect of family support for self-care activity (P = 0,000). Family support can improve the ability of diabetic patients to manage diet and physical activity (exercise). Self care activities related to diet management, physical activity (exercise) and treatment are important aspects for diabetic patients and need support, not only emotional support but also Informational support, awards and instrumentals.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain how customer trust and the Pegadaian Digital Service (PDS) application affect new customers' interest in saving gold at the PT Pegadaian Prabumulih Branch. A descriptive technique and accidental sampling with a sample of 48 respondents were employed in this investigation. Multiple linear regresion analysis, correlation coefficient analysis, determination coefficient, and the t and f tests were utilized to test the study hypothesis. According to the results of the determination test, there is a very significant asociation between the Pegadaian Digital Service application variable (X1), customer trust (X2), and new customer interest in storing gold at the PT Pegadaian Prabumulih branch (Y). whereas the coefficient of determination (R Square) is 0.764, or 76.4%, and other unstudied factors account for the remaining 23.6%. The data procesing findings showed that the value of F count > F table, or 72.890 > 3.20, indicates that Ha is approved and Ho is refused. This indicates that New Customer Interest in Saving Gold (Y) at PT Pegadaian Prabumulih Branch is significantly influenced by both the Pegadaian Digital Service (PDS) Application (X1) and Customer Trust (X2).

Abstract

Hypertension remains a major public health concern worldwide, largely driven by unhealthy lifestyles such as poor diet, physical inactivity, and excess body weight. Early identification of modifiable risk factors, including cholesterol levels, body mass index (BMI), and physical activity, is crucial for preventing hypertension. This community-based screening activity was conducted on 7 August 2025, at SMA Negeri 9 Padang, targeting teachers, administrative staff, and food vendors. A total of 80 adults participated in the study using convenience sampling. The activity included health education followed by individual health screenings, which consisted of blood pressure measurement, BMI calculation, cholesterol testing using portable point-of-care devices, and physical activity assessment using structured questionnaires. The results showed that 45% of participants were classified as prehypertensive, 83.8% had high cholesterol levels, and 66.3% were overweight or obese. Most participants (72.5%) reported moderate physical activity levels, which fell short of the World Health Organization’s recommendations. These findings indicate a high risk of hypertension among adults in the school community, particularly related to elevated cholesterol, excess body weight, and insufficient physical activity. We identified hypertension risk factors and provided health education and individualized screening feedback to raise awareness of cardiovascular risks and emphasize the importance of regular screening.
