Abstract

A person tends to work enthusiastically if they get satisfaction from their work because job satisfaction is the key to supporting the company's goals. The assessment for job promotion specifically for subordinates is only assessed by the leader at the Tirta Ogan Regional Drinking Water Company in Baturaja. The assessment for job promotion for several employees who have worked for a long time (over 4-5 years) carried out by the board of directors is only as one of the requirements (formality) to increase job promotion. This has an impact on the declining work spirit of employees. This research method is a descriptive quantitative method. From the simple linear regression equation, the correlation between the job promotion variable (X) and work spirit (Y) is 0.693 which has a strong correlation. The R Square of 0.481, the contribution of the job promotion variable (X) to work spirit (Y) is 48.1%. While the remaining 51.9% is influenced or varied by other variables not examined in this study. The results of the calculation of the large t-test obtained a job promotion (X) of 7.138 and 2.00404, then > (2.00404) meaning that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a significant influence between job promotion and the work enthusiasm of Permanent Employees at the Tirta Ogan Regional Drinking Water Company in Baturaja.

Abstract

Hypertension requires patients to adhere to a medication regimen that needs to be adhered to for life to control blood pressure and prevent complications. A related factor to medication adherence is patients' health literacy, which influences their ability to maintain hypertension prescription regimens. This factor is critical in managing chronic diseases, such as hypertension, to achieve optimal health. This study aims to investigate the relationship between health literacy and medication adherence in patients with hypertension. The study was conducted at public health care centers in West Sumatra. This study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The researchers used a non-probability sampling technique, namely purposive sampling, for a total sample of 175 respondents. Data were collected using the Morisky Medication Adherence (MMAS-8) and Health Literacy Survey Europe-16 (HLS-EU-Q16) questionnaires. Data were processed using computerization with chi-square test. The results showed that 41.7% of patients with hypertension have sufficient health literacy, and 46.9% have low levels of medication adherence. In addition, 52.3% with inadequate health literacy had low levels of medication adherence. The statistical test results obtained a p-value = 0.001 (p < 0.005), indicating a relationship between health literacy and medication adherence. It is essential to improve hypertension treatment adherence by improving the health literacy of patients with hypertension.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of entrepreneurial spirit, peer environment, and proactive personality on the entrepreneurial mindset of STIE Dwi Sakti Baturaja students. The results of multiple linear regression obtained the equation Y = 1,294 + 0.201 X1 + 0.437 X2 + 0.305 X3. Based on the R value of the correlation coefficient obtained using the interpretation guideline table, it can be seen that R = 0.908 is in the position 0.800-1.000, so the relationship is stated to be very strong, while the r square figure (coefficient of determination) is 0.825 or 82.5%. This value shows that the contribution of all independent variables, namely Entrepreneurial Spirit (X1), Peer Environment (X2) and Proactive Personality (X3) is 82.5% to the dependent variable, namely Entrepreneurial Mindset (Y). Meanwhile, the remaining 17.5% was contributed by other factors not examined in this study. Partially or t-test, namely with the t-count value of the Entrepreneurial Spirit variable (X1) of 2.561 > ttable 1.995, meaning that there is an influence of the Entrepreneurial Spirit on the Entrepreneurial Mindset (Y) of STIE Dwi Sakti Baturaja students. In the peer environment variable (X2) tcount is 6.952 > ttable 1.995, meaning that there is an influence of Peer Environment on the Entrepreneurial Mindset (Y) of STIE Dwi Sakti Baturaja Students. Meanwhile, the t-count value of Proactive Personality (X3) is 4.648 > ttable 1.995, meaning that there is an influence of the Entrepreneurial Mindset (Y) of STIE Dwi Sakti Baturaja students. Simultaneously from the F test, it can be seen that the value of Fcount > Ftable (106,732 > 3.13) so the conclusion is that all variable (X2), and Proactive Personality (X3) on the Entrepreneurial Mindset (Y) of STIE Dwi Sakti Baturaja Students..

Abstract

The benefits of breastfeeding for infants are well documented. One factor that contributes to suboptimal exclusive breastfeeding is the presence of working mothers. However, studies have revealed that employers tend to hold negative perceptions of breastfeeding, particularly for those working in the informal sector. The objective of this study was to examine the perspectives of mothers engaged in informal employment in North Sumatra and to identify the factors that influence their decision to exclusively breastfeed. A qualitative study was conducted with the participation of formal workers who were traders in traditional markets. In this study, mothers with children aged 0-2 years old who work as traders in traditional markets were recruited to participate in focus group discussions (FGDs) conducted in the local language which lasted between 45 and 60 minutes, were audio recorded and transcribed. The data were analyzed using a content analysis approach. The decision to exclusively breastfeed is influenced by a number of factors for mothers who work as traditional market traders. These can be grouped into three sub-themes: perceived benefits of breast milk and positive breastfeeding, support from family and friends, and misinformation related to breastfeeding behaviour and self-efficacy of breastfeeding mothers. Peer support for breastfeeding is a highly valuable study intervention. The health system and health workers facilitate the expansion of exclusive breastfeeding peer support. Highlight the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding across all socioeconomic groups and advocate for more conducive policies.

Abstract

This study is entitled Analysis of Factors Affecting Newspaper Purchasing Decisions in Times of Increasing Technological Progress at Pt Arisma Indonesia Merdeka in Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. This study aims to analyze the effect of consumer confidence, distribution and brand image on newspaper purchasing decisions at PT Arisma Indonesia Merdeka in Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. This research is descriptive and uses accidental sampling with a sample size of 94 respondents. Using multiple regression analysis techniques and to test the research hypothesis used the f test and t test. The results of the study are with multiple linear regression Y = 0.891 + 0.421X1 + 0.236X2 + 0.300X3. The equation can be interpreted that the constant is 0.891, which means that if consumer trust (X1), distribution (X2), and brand image (X3), the value is zero (not done), the purchase decision (Y) is 0.891. The coefficient value of purchasing decisions (X1) is 0.421, meaning that if consumer confidence (X1) increases by 1 unit, purchasing decisions (Y) will increase by 0.421. The distribution coefficient value (X2) is 0.236, meaning that if the distribution (X2) increases by 1 unit, the purchasing decision (Y) increases by 0.236. The brand image coefficient value (X3) is 0.300, meaning that if the brand image (X3) increases by 1 unit, the purchasing decision (Y) increases by 0.300. Determination testing obtained the contribution of consumer trust variables (X1), distribution (X2) and brand image (X3) to purchasing decisions (Y) of 80.9% while the remaining 19.1% was influenced or varied by other variables not included in this research model.

Abstract

Identifying the factors influencing healthy lifestyle behaviors among university faculty and staff is crucial for designing interventions to enhance health outcomes and reduce healthcare expenses. This study aimed to explore the determinants of readiness for adopting healthy lifestyle behaviors among university employees, with a focus on aspects such as diet, physical activity, and stress management in Indonesia. Using a cross-sectional survey approach, respondents participated in guided interviews utilizing the G-form. Through Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modelling (PLS SEM) analysis, it was found that while lifestyle choices did not significantly impact readiness to change lifestyles (p-value>0.05); factors such as health status, use of preventive services, mental health, and perception of occupational health significantly influenced readiness (p-value<0.05). The study underscores the importance of considering various factors, including mental health, health status, and work-related perceptions, to encourage readiness for lifestyle changes among university employees. An incorporating comprehensive wellness programs with mental health resources, regular health screenings, and workplace health initiatives should be considered in implementation of healthy lifestyle program in the universities.
